wow. boy oh boy we have been waiting on this for a while, but it’s fair to say, Jisoo did not disappoint.
jisoo showed up, and delivered, proving last but not least.

I love the visuals of the music video, jisoo just looks so unreal, like a goddess! I feel like the bright colours against more neutral go so well.
Jisoo’s voice. i’ll say it again. oh. my. god. i love how her rich velvety voice slides over itself, like glass, smooth surfaces, but occasionally sharp edged, contrasting the harsher beat at times. the only problem i really have with this song is that during the chorus the backing stays the same, but jisoo’s voice is replaced with this screechy sound, that reminds me of something you hear in a late 2010s dubstep song, and it make me miss her voice. where is she in the chorus of her solo? aside from that, i loved this song and the simplicity that lines and complexity of the vocals within it.
ALL EYES ON ME
the beginning of this song low key reminds me of a clean bandit song. just putting it out there.
I love the harsher, higher tones of jisoo’s voice in this, i think it really shows her vocals off. The background of this song is less minimal than its flagship ‘ME’, but puts across the same sort of vibe. i think it’s like if ‘ME’ turned to the darkside. Prepare yourself, it’s coming back, what’s with the late 2010s dubstep vibe in these choruses? I love jisoo and these songs, but were the producers doing this intentionally? Am i going insane as the only person hearing this? Stepping away from dubstep, i know what the song is trying to do, but i don’t think it’s getting there fully. I feel like it had the idea of badassery wafted in its way, like the idea of toast being wafted in the direction of the wet bread in my school dinner hall, but it’s okay.

that’s all i really have to say about this debut. it was good, and i enjoyed it but i think there are a few things i would’ve liked more if it was done differently. i have to say though, jisoo looks like a literally goddess through all of that, and i applaud her for it.
