Chapter Text

= Space Mages =

Space Mages are a fictional species of alien that I made up for the universe of Doctor Who. Space Mages are immortal to a large extent, because their anatomy isn’t made of human atoms, but instead of pure stars. Every thousand years, they go through a long process that replaces every single atom in their body. They reside on the planet of Dryadalis. Their original name of species is ‘Dryadalin’ (Like the Time Lords and ‘Gallifreyan’.). Space Mages are the so-called ‘Protectors of the Universe’. They are regular mages, and have magic powers. The most common and powerful is elemental powers. With control over the air, telekinesis is also involved. They can also manipulate electricity and energy.

Space Mages look fairly human, with an exception for their purple-toned skin and purple eyes. They are relatively taller, averaging at 190 centimetres. They physically age very slowly and stop around the equivalent of 30. When Space Mages are born, they spend 200 years living an agrarian lifestyle, helping their guardians take care of the planet. They help with the farms, tech and usually also the younglings once they turn 100. They receive basic education until they’re 200, then they go to training.

They train and learn about their powers and how to utilise them properly. Mages have a variety of abilities and they can take specialised courses to develop certain ones. Some of the abilities include telepathy, and because they are able to manipulate the elements, they can levitate in a way. This levatation does need extra training to perfect. A Mage’s telepathy is unique; some Mages are more talented in emotinal telepathy, while others are good at touch telepathy. They discover what works for them in the Academy and train.
