Chapter Text
Tw: Death
Tears poured down her cheeks, hitting the pavement below.
After all the adventures they went on together, how did it end up like this?
Her best friend's body stretched out before her.
His head rested on her lap, looking upward to the sky.
His eyes that once shined so bright and told a tale his words never dared, now has no spark.
His lips that once could cause entire armies to turn and flee, now sealed for eternity.
His arms that once gave the warmest hugs, now wrapped around her in a last embrace.
His hands that could tussle with any alien and win, now slipped from her shoulders.
But she wouldn't let him go.
She couldn't. She couldn't.
Not after everything.
"Come on get up! You got to get up!" She shouted to the top of her lungs.
Her head jerked up at the sound of a branch snapping in the distance.
"Whose there?! Show yourself!" She shouted
Silence. Not even a bird responded to her cry.
She turned her attention back to her friend.
"I think there's aliens here. I think they're watching us." She whispered into his ear--a line that would've once got him jumping to his feet.
But now he laid still his finger didn't even twitched.
Her heart shattered. She couldn't held onto her denial any longer.
Her cries pierced the night.
