“I take it you both know why I summoned you here?” Geeta asks, looking at the two from behind her desk.
Tulip begins to shake her head and answer for him, but Grusha nods. “I already know. It’s because we’re together, right?”
He had heard earlier from Kofu that Katy knew that Brassius had told Geeta off-handedly the two were lovers. All the gym leaders “knew”... just, not their boss. Geeta blinks, and leans back in her chair.
“...oh. Is that so?”
Grusha swallows, and Tulip exhales after glaring at him. Geeta nods, “You both compliment each other well. I can see it. But, no… it’s because some challengers are finding your challenges to be a bit impersonal. Try and fix that. You’re both free to go.”
The two gym leaders look at her. “Wait, so you’re not…” Tulip pauses, and gestures with her hand. “going to punish us?”
“We get to stay as gym leaders?” Grusha quickly asks.
Geeta shakes her head, with an amused smile on her thin lips. “Why would I do either of those things? I’m not some kind of monster.”
She laughs, then notices they aren’t. “Ah. That was a joke. You’re supposed to laugh.”
