Clubbing

Summary:

Josie finds herself tied to a chair and asked to do something she would never do in a million years.

Work Text:

Josie awoke and was all at once horrified. She found herself tied to a chair and her mouth covered up with a rag so she could not scream. She still tried to scream, but it was to no avail, the rag muffled her voice.

She closed her eyes and tried to think back. What had happened?

The last thing she remembered was she was in a club with her friends. They were taking shots and just having a good time. She drank one, then started to feel a little funny. She recalled her body falling over and watching as the floor came closer to her, then everything went dark. The next thing she knew she was awake and tied to this chair.

She looked around the room she had found herself in and discovered she must be in some basement. There were florescent lights humming over her head and she could see a window high up in the room to what looked like street level. She had never been in this room before either. She wondered if she was in the basement of the club. She tried to listen for the music in the club but could hear nothing.

Behind her she heard someone walking down what sounded like stairs. She tried to turnaround to face the noise, but she couldn't. The steps slowly walked down the stairs, then turned and started to move towards Josie. She was panicking, screaming, trying to be saved, but she knew deep down inside that no help was coming.

She then could see the person, a woman, slowly walking beside her, then turned and faced Josie. She looked familiar to Josie, but she could not place where she had seen her before. The woman had on a black ski mask, which had been pulled up so Josie could see her face, and black shirts and pants.

"Hello", the woman said to Josie. "I am sorry for how this must feel, but I don't really have any other choice. The woman looked at Josie, then smiled slightly.

"I guess I will tell you why you are here, and what you will be doing for me. I owe you that much at least. My name is Flora Hendrix, and I am the first alternative for the women's national soccer team. I have to make that team; my mother would be so proud of me."

Josie thought back, she did watch some soccer and she did think she had seen the woman playing before. The woman then continued.

"So, I have to make the national team. This is probably my last chance to compete in the World Cup. So, I have to get rid of one of my competitors." Flora explained.

Josie tried to speak, tell Flora that she did not play soccer, but Flora put her hand up. "I know you do not play soccer, and I am sorry, but you were just unlucky on where you were. I need someone I don't know to do something for me." Flora pulled up a chair and looked Josie in the eyes. "Have you ever heard of Nancy Kerrigan, or Tonya Harding?"

Josie shook her head no.

"Well, Tonya's ex-husband hired someone to take out Nancy before the Olympics. That way Tonya would have an easier time winning the gold medal in figure skating. It was a good idea but was too easy to be traced back to Tonya. I need someone not traceable to me."

Josie wondered what Flora wanted her for, because Josie could not think of any reason that this soccer player would attack a stranger.

"I can imagine what you are thinking and well, you'll see." Flora explained, then pulled up an app on her phone. "Watch this." Flora said before putting it in Josie's face.

Josie watched the app as lights flashed in front of her. She stared and slowly started to lose her thought process. She thought she saw flashes of words like attack and finish.

The next thing Josie knew, she found herself waking up in a hotel room she did not know. She looked around the room and there was nothing in it. Nothing, except a club. She walked over to the club and grabbed it and knew what she had to do.
