"You got this, Iida!" Uraraka cupped her hands around her lips so her voice could reach her boyfriend's ears.
"Yeah! Wahooo!" Midoriya mimicked her stance. "I'm so happy you invited Todoroki and me to visit, Uraraka." He turned to his friend with a smile.
"Yes, this has been a fun visit," Todoroki sat down next to them on the bleachers. "Our university doesn't have this quality of a volleyball team." He passed Uraraka a bottle of water.
"Thanks," she beamed back. "Yeah, we're pretty lucky to have such a good team. I know Iida doesn't play too often, but it's still fun to watch and cheer him on!" She took a few sips before setting it down by her feet. "There we go, honey! You're rocking it!"
Even from this far back, Uraraka could see Iida blushing at her comment.
"Heh, I think we might be distracting him a little," Midoriya scratched the back of his head.
"Oi, Cheeks!" came a familiar raspy voice.
"Hm?" Uraraka looked down the bleachers to see none other than Bakugo Katsuki and Kirishima Eijiro. "Oh hey!" She gave them a friendly wave. "I didn't think you guys were going to come!"
"Of course we'd come for our buddy!" Kirisihima raced up the stairs to hug his old high school friends. "Midoriya! Todoroki! I totally forgot you guys were gonna be here!"
"I told you but you didn't remember, Shitty Hair," Bakugo snorted. "Four Eyes better crush it or I'll kick his ass!"
Uraraka couldn't help but roll her eyes. "You'd think he would have fizzled down by now."
"Eh, some things never change," Kirishima shrugged with a nervous laugh.
"Hey! Don't talk about me like I'm not here!" Bakugo stormed over to sit down next to Uraraka.
"How are things going with you and Kirishima, Kacchan?" Midoriya smiled.
"It's going great!" Kirishima answered for him. "I'm so happy I finally asked him out. It's been awesome!"
Uraraka elbowed Bakugo in the ribs. "Aw, someone shows Kirishima a soft side of himself, hmmm?" she teased with an arched eyebrow.
Bakugo jabbed her back. "Shut up. You and Four Eyes have been doing the same shit since first fucking semester."
She giggled at that. "I suppose you have a point. Iida has a fun side of him that he didn't always show in high school...Oh! There he goes! He's serving next!" Uraraka jumped to her feet. "Come on, you guys! Get up and cheer for him!" She cracked her neck and cupped her hands around her lips again. "GO, IIDAAAA!!"
Her high school friends (even Bakugo) got up to their feet and cheered.
"Yeah, Iida!" Todoroki and Midoryia yelled in unison.
"GO, BRO, GO!" Kirishima threw his hands in the air.
"DON'T MESS THIS UP, FOUR EYES!" Bakugo roared, failing his arms around.
"Bakugo," Uraraka gave him another jab to the side. "Don't make him nervous."
"He can take it," Bakugo challenged. "COME ON, FOUR EYES!"
Iida looked up into the bleachers with a semi-frustrated face. Uraraka knew that she had invited Midoriya and Todoroki, but had not been aware that Bakugo and Kirishima would be in the stands.
Uraraka flashed her most apologetic smile his way with a dramatic shrug of her shoulders.
Iida shook his head before doing his serve.
"It went over!" Uraraka jumped up and down excitedly. "THAT'S MY BOYFRIEND RIGHT THERE!" She announced it to the whole gym.
Iida's face was back to turning a bright flush.
The game went on and on, ending in a tie break.
They brought Iida back in for the last point, where he made the winning spike.
"YEAHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Uraraka turned to give Midoriya a huge hug. "They won! They won!"
"Of course they did," Bakugo grumbled next to her. "Told ya he had it in him."
Uraraka giggled as she zoomed past their friends and down the stairs to make sure her boyfriend heard her praise. "You rocked it, Iida!" She beamed with pride as Iida chugged down water from his water bottle, draping a large towel around his neck to cool off.
"Yes, well, that's all thanks to the help of my teammates." Iida gestured to the young men around him.
"Iida, quit being so honest," a redhead named Hinata smiled. "The coach will totally put you in more often after that play!"
"He's right," the captain of the team Kageyama patted Iida on the back. "Keep it up."
"Are you guys going to come to the team dinner? Kags is buying!" Hinata smirked.
"I never agreed to that!" Kageyama glared at the redhead.
Iida and Uraraka chuckled. "We actually have some friends in from out of town," Iida pointed up the stands to see Midoriya waving his arms wearing his classic bright smile.
"Oh yeah! That makes sense. They were really cheering for you, huh?" Hinata grinned. "Well, you guys have fun." He grabbed Kageyama's wrist and dragged him into the locker room. "Now come onnnnn! I want a victory bowl of ramen!"
"I said I never agreed to that, dumbass!"
Then the teammates were gone, leaving Uraraka and Iida holding hands.
"I should really shower, my dear," Iida used his free hand to pat off more sweat. "I brought casual attire to go out for dinner. Will Bakugo and Kirishima be joining us?"
Uraraka shrugged. "Possibly, I'll ask. We'll meet you out front." She leaned up to give Iida a peck on the cheek. "Love you!" Then she dashed off to their friends.
Dinner was nice. They all caught up after being so busy with classes. It was nice to hear how Midoriya and Todoroki were doing at their university.
Uraraka took out her phone to take a group selfie to commemorate the moment. It had been a while since the gang had been back together. She didn't want to forget it.
She smiled at the picture as everyone got up from the table.
"So, we going to the club or what?" Bakugo held the door open for Kirishima to walk through first.
"What a gentleman," Kirishima pecked Bakugo on the cheek, making the explosive blonde blush furiously in front of their friends.
"Don't pull that shit in public!" Bakugo hissed.
"Aw, don't be like that, Bakugo," Uraraka teased as she coiled her arm around Iida's. "It's sweet."
"Kacchan has never been the hugest fan of public affection." Midoriya announced.
"Doesn't come as a surprise considering how he was in high school." Todoroki chimed in.
"I SAID DON'T TALK ABOUT ME LIKE I'M NOT HERE!" Bakugo let the door close after everyone had exited the restaurant. "So, club or no club?"
"I think it would be fun!" Midoriya's eyes glistened with excitement. "What do you think, babe?"
"Sure," Todoroki shrugged in his usual indifferent tone. "Will you guys be tagging along?"
Uraraka exchanged a quick glance with Iida before shaking her head. "Nah, we're going to head back. I promised Iida we would watch whatever movie he wanted if they won the game."
"Aw, that's really sweet," Kirishima smiled. "Bakugo, isn't that sweet?"
"Gag me," Bakugo snorted.
"Only if you say please," Kirishima winked.
The blush on Bakugo's face made everyone in the group laugh.
"WE DON'T DO THAT SHIT!" Bakugo threw his hands in the air. "Ya know, I ain't waiting for you extras, I'm heading off."
"Hehehe aw, babe, don't be like that!" Kirishima dashed after him. "I was just teasing!"
"We better go after him." Midoriya scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "We'll text you guys when we're on our way back."
"We have the extra key you gave us, so we can let ourselves in if you want to go to sleep before we return," Todoroki patted his pocket.
"Very well," Iida cleared his throat. "Have a nice time."
And with that, the friends parted ways.
Uraraka really liked their apartment. It was small and cozy and perfect. Pictures of them from their high school glory days graced their walls and shelves. Embarrassing selfies of Uraraka giving Iida surprise kisses sat perfectly on the nightstands in their bedroom.
But tonight, they would focus on watching the latest action movie of Iida's choice.
"Okay, I've got the popcorn ready and our glasses of orange juice," Iida set the food and drinks down on their coffee table.
Uraraka giggled as she picked up her glass. "I still can't believe you got me hooked on pairing up popcorn with orange juice."
Iida shrugged. "What can I say? I am a man of good taste."
"Well, you did choose to date me, so yes, I would agree." Uraraka giggled before giving him a kiss on his cheek. "Alrighty, I'm all set. I haven't seen this one yet."
"Oh I've heard it's a good one." Iida arched his arm so that Uraraka could snuggle close against him. "Are you ready?"
Uraraka put her glass down and pulled a blanket over her legs as she plopped her head in his lap.
Iida laughed at her position. "You're going to fall asleep if you lay down like that."
"Nah ah," Uraraka yawned.
"Yes you will," Iida poked her in the side, yanking out a yelp from his girlfriend.
"Hehe! Hey, stop that!" She batted his hands away. "If I fall asleep, I'll cook dinner for a week."
"Hm, very well," Iida brought his hand down and started stroking her hair. "I've been in the mood for cold soba since Todoroki and Midoriya arrived." He thought aloud. "Just keep that in mind when you're preparing our meals."
"Ha ha," Uraraka tilted her head to stick her tongue out at him teasingly before directing her attention back to their TV. "Turn it on so I can prove you wrong."
Well, she proved him right.
She didn't know when it happened, but she had nodded off, only waking up to the sound of three voices whispering to each other.
"I can't believe she's still sleeping." That was Todoroki's voice.
"Oh she is a heavy sleeper," Midoriya responded. "Don't you remember the study slumber parties we'd have?"
"It's true," Iida was gently stroking her side. "She could sleep through just about anything."
Her eyes flickered up as she clawed at Iida's knee. "You guys suck..." she yawned as she pushed herself up into a sitting position. "Alright, alright," she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. "I will be cooking dinner for the duration of your time here, you guys."
Iida pulled her into his chest and pressed a kiss to her temple. "Told you," he pinched her side teasingly, making her wiggle.
"Stahap that!" She batted him away again. "Obviously I'm more tired than I thought I was." A blush grew on her face. "I should probably head to bed...I'm sorry. I wanna hear about how the club was in the morning, is that okay?"
"Absolutely!" Midoriya grinned. "We should probably head to bed too." He grabbed Todoroki by his fingers and pulled him to their guest room. "Sleep tight, sleepy heads!"
"Mmhm," Iida waved them off. "Cold soba." He smirked as he scooped Uraraka into his arms, holding her bridal style.
"Hehehe hey!" Uraraka giggled. "I can walk on my own!"
Iida tsked his tongue. "You fell asleep, wouldn't want you to fall over from exhaustion."
"You're ridiculous," Uraraka smiled, resting her head against his chest. "Hmm, your heartbeat sounds nice."
"You always say that," Iida chuckled. "Want to get changed into your pajamas? Or sleep just like that?"
Uraraka looked down. "Oh, I guess I never changed, did I?"
She walked over to her dresser once Iida let her down.
After the two had gone through their normal night-time routine, they snuggled under the sheets.
"You did such a great job today, honey," Uraraka yawned, curling up as tightly as she could against Iida's side. "I'm so proud of you."
"Well thank you," Iida turned his neck to kiss her temple. "Try to get some sleep. Tomorrow we'll take Midoriya and Todoroki to the lake. They don't get to see that scenery often being all the way in Tokyo."
"Mmhm...mmmmn..." Uraraka had already started to drink off.
"Ha, you are truly precious, my dear..." Iida gave her another kiss before leaning his head back to go to sleep himself.
Uraraka woke up at some point in the middle of the night, tilting her head to see that it was still way too early to wake up. She loved the sweet little snores that came from Iida.
These were the weekends she loved and lived for.
She wouldn't want to have it any other way.
