Work Text:
julie hopped her way into home, the vibrant colors decorating their way inside — everything was perfect, in her eyes. she lifted her hands to show her nails slightly rubbished from dirt as she spent time in caring for her flowers.
her smile never leaving, she patted the dust off her hands and went on to wash them after, her fluffed dress bouncing along with her.
halfway through, she could hear a faint noise coming from the room near.
ring
ring
she froze, the water had stopped flowing like it use to — its liquid feeling turning into slush against her hand as the rings grew louder. her smile quickly turned into panic as she turned off the water in a swift motion,
she turned to look at her hands — her body already shaking with fear, it’s senses overcoming with the feeling of being watched. she could feel eyes on her everywhere, her vision blurring and her cheerful personality is fading, she can’t think — she can’t even move.
ring
her body is covered with what seems to be black mud, that same mud reaching towards her with such intensity and covering her body with a wiggling texture.
ring
she doesn’t know how to stop it, she doesn’t even know the cause. one she’s taking care of her flowers, next this.
ring
the eyes keep lingering — her body can’t move — shes trapped — and the ringing won’t stop.
ring
she succumbs to darkness.

”julie?” the voice comes as a blessing.
as she opens her eyes, blinking a few to readjust as she began to sit up, staring at her body for a few moments before looking around. she’s placed delicately with a blanket on a couch and the setting is far too gentle for it to be her own home.
when she finally turns to the voice — she sees wally beside her. a calm expression with voided eyes.
staring.
“wally?” she returned, holding her head in a manner that showed a headache, with silence passing by, she pursed her lips until she decided to show her gratitude, giving a cheerful smile.
she saw his lips curl up further more before he set down a plate, she took a look and saw the two teacups lying on it— before returning back to his gaze.
“what happened?” julie asked.
“i wanted to return something to you,” his voice held a smooth edge to it that someone could listen to for years — it’s calming tone soothing julie’s ears with comfort as he raised his hand, slowly itching towards her.
he combed her distressed hair and gently caressed her skin, the acts of affection causing a blush to coat her cheeks — but unknowingly her body reclined from him, moving away from his touches yet her eyes never left his.
”but you were out cold on your floor,” he stood up bringing the plate of tea cups with him. “if you’d like to return to your house, that’s fine.”
she looked down before smiling brightly, hopping out of the seat and folding the blanket he gave her, leaving it on the couch. “yeah, i guess i should go. i’ll see you around wally! thanks for taking care of me!” she said, skipping to the door, her flowery dress swaying along with her.

the sound occurred to her once again as she twisted at the doorknob, biting her lip, she silently closed it in front of her —
“actually, could i stay?” her voice held such desperation that wally, with his back turned, was glad she couldn’t see the look of satisfaction he held.
