Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

It was a terrible day for rain.

Kelin stood staring up into the sky as a light rain poured down. They were the only one left now.

It had only been a few days prior, they were going to the airport... when the car flipped. A massive traffic accident had occurred. A deer had run straight out on the highway and the driver in front of the Akari family swerved. If it was just the Akari family and this one mistake it would have been fine.

But when the car came screeching to a halt somebody else just wasn't paying attention. Ramming into the back end of the Akari families car it somehow was lifted off of the ground. And as stated, the car flipped. It came down crushing the Akari family inside.

None of them were gregiously injured on impact, no. All of them lived infact! But they were out hours into the highway with nobody besides inexperienced civillians nearby to help. Kelin was mostly fine, good luck sparing them from the worst of it. But his little sister and parents were in bad... bad shape. And without help nearby their conditions only worsened.

Eventually, hours later, all of his family was in the hospital. But it had been far, far to late. One by one they all died, their bodies broken beyond repair. Kelin could only watch as his entire life crumbled before his eyes. Today, he watched the life leave his little sisters eyes... they could do nothing as their little sister departed this world.

"Why...? Why them? Why me?" As they stared into the sky mumbling to themselves they heard their phone ring. Wordlessly, they reached for it and thoughtlessly began walking across the street. Looking at who was calling, It was his boss. "..."

*splash splash*

Taking weak steps forward they hung up and pocketed their phone once more. Dropping their head they began to sob uncontrollably covering their eyes and falling to their knees in the middle of the street...

*HONK HOOONK*

Snapping to attention Kelins teary eyes stared towards his impending doom. A giant truck swerving to not hit them... yet doing so far too late.

Facing his doom mere feet away Kelin screamed in anguish, "DAMNIT!" Bracing for impact they readied themselves to die just like their sister moments ago. But the pain never came.

And just like that the Akari bloodline vanished from earth.

And appeared in another world.

Still covering themselves eyes shut tight they felt the new air and slowly opened their eyes. They were on a marble white floor with a foreign object on their right arm. Along with three other men that looked the same age as him. "What the...?"

"Oh dear heros, please save our world from the waves!"
