Endless Abyss and Endless Devotion

Summary:

This is an AU of sorts where SQQ acquires a braincell and doesn't completely destroy Binghe emotionally during the IAC/Endless Abyss scene.

Marked underage because LBH is 17 but nothing too major happens between the couple.

Notes:

I apologize if SQQ seems too OOC but I tried my best to keep him similar to his novel personality with some changes.

This fanfic is brought to you by my passionate rage about this scene. Enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Shen Qingqiu was grim when counting down the days to the Immortal Alliance Conference. The clock was ticking before he would have to betray the protagonist who he has outwardly favored for the past two years. How was he going to do this? Should he follow the idea of the cultivation world and shame him for being a demon? No, that would go against what he told him before. He sits in faux meditation, thoughts popping up only to be swiftly discarded with disgust. There has to be a way to get Binghe to go down without shattering the trust he has carefully cultivated from the white lotus.

The Protagonist, Luo Binghe, was out of the bamboo house running messages for Shen Qingqiu to An Ding Peak. This gave Shen Qingqiu the time to formulate a proper plan to keep in his good graces. Ever since he entered the dreamscape with Binghe his mind has been a bit scatterbrained. In Proud Immortal Demon Way, that was meant to be Ning Yingying in the dream, not him. He wonders if being kinder to Binghe, unlike the original goods, has changed things. Ning Yingying isn’t his only support on Qing Jing peak, Shen Qingqiu has become a reliable mentor of sorts.

As he reflects on the life he has lived here as Qing Jing’s peak lord, an idea populates in his brain. Can he change his role completely? Turn himself from a scum villain to a doting teacher? It’s not like he’s forced to act like the original goods all the time thanks to breaking the locked OOC feature. Maybe, behind closed doors, things can be different. He turns to the system, going in depth in his research of what rules he can bend and work around to stay in Binghe’s good graces when he is forced to push him off that ledge.

Shen Qingqiu grabs a scroll and writes his plans in English, making it unreadable to those who attempt to snoop in his room, not like there are many who would even dare. Once he writes it out he nods in satisfaction. Yes, this plan should go well. All he needs to do is plant a seed to make it look normal.

The next few weeks he dips his toe in being more expressive with his praise towards the protagonist. Every time Binghe would do something Shen Qingqiu wanted he would smile at the boy, thanking him with sincerity. If Binghe was a dog he is sure his tail would be whipping back and forth in glee. He made sure to do this behind closed doors or private spaces. He doesn’t think he would survive if someone else saw him like this, outwardly appreciative.

Once the praise was established he increased his affections. If Binghe did something very good he would pat his head lightly. The first time he did so he quickly walked away in embarrassment, not noticing the gaze of Luo Binghe, staring at his shizun like he hung the stars in the sky. The next time Shen Qingqiu does it Binghe has a flush to him and says “Thanking Shizun for his praise”. Qingqiu flicks his fan open to hide the embarrassed flush. “No such thing, I’m merely recognizing your dedication.” Binghe simply agrees, but there’s something in his eyes that tells Shen Qingqiu that there’s more he’s not saying. He chooses to let it be for now.

––

Months pass as Shen Qingqiu keeps reinforcing praise and the boy has turned more loyal than any dog he’s ever seen. If Shen Qingiu doesn’t send him to complete a task he’s at the peak lord’s side. Soon enough, it's nearing the Immortal Alliance Conference, and the peak lord feels like he’s drowning in guilt. He sits with Binghe as they eat a meal together. Shen Qingqiu felt his heart grow with adoration and attachment to the white lotus. He can’t help but make sure Binghe actually wants that strength that comes with being the protagonist. He gently clears his throat before speaking.

“Binghe?” The boy eagerly looks at his shizun, waiting for him to continue. The peak lord sets his utensils down and looks right into his eyes. “Do you want to become strong? Strong enough to be peerless, to the point that no one under the heavens dares to fight you?” The peak lord watched in fascination as his puppy disciple’s expression became serious. “Yes.” Shen Qingqiu’s arms were in his lap as he nervously picked at his nails when he followed up with the next question.

“If before that, you have to undergo a lot of painful torture, suffer countless hardships, your physical and mental state approaching collapse, would you still want to be a supremely stong person.” He watched as the boy thought about these words, before slowly speaking once more. “Towards painful bitterness and hardships, Binghe is fearless and only asks to be strong enough to protect his important people!” Shen Qingqiu’s tension deflates slightly. His plan should go accordingly if Luo Binghe is this devoted to becoming strong. Obedience and desire are the factors vital to this plan of survival.

He nods at his filial student. “I will do what I can to prepare you for any future trials you face.” Binghe smiles at him and thanks him before they both finish their meal and continue with their day.

––

It is time for the Immortal Alliance Conference, and Shen Qingqiu has done what he could to prepare Luo Binghe for what is to come. He rides the carriage with Qi Qingqi, bearing the teasing and bullying of his shimei. His disciple is dutiful as always bringing his shizun snacks at the wave of a hand, leaving Qi Qingqi speechless. She says something about how even her head disciple is on a horse. He looks out to see Luo Binghe with Liu Mingyan, and he’s content for the most part. The protagonist is bonding with a future wife, and he should be happy about such. He doesn’t understand why he has this feeling of sourness from Binghe not paying attention to him. He settles back in his seat and fiddles with his fan as he soaks in this unknown mild irritation.

His attention is drawn to the giggling of the other peak lord. He opens the fan and covers his mouth that is forming into a snarl. “What’s amusing, Qi-shimei?” He does his best to level his voice to a neutral tone but winces internally when the bite in his voice reverberates to his own ears. She looks at him with intrigue and snarks back. “Nothing at all, Shen-shixong. Just keep your lecherous paws off of my disciples.” He looks at her taken aback. What does she mean by that? Sure, Liu Mingyan is a beauty beyond comprehension, but he would never take advantage of a child like that. Just what did the original goods do? Their ride is relatively silent after that until they arrive at Jue Di Gorge.

He is quiet, an indifferent expression blocked by a fan as they enter the gorge. He greeted those that approached him but didn’t say much else. He stood idly as the Huan Hua disciple read out the rules. Shen Qingqiu did his best to listen, but was interrupted when he overheard some of the Palace Master’s entourage gossiping nearby.

“Which sect is that disciple from? He’s incredibly handsome.”

“Those white robes really suit him. Maybe even better than they do Gongyi-shixong.”

“But Gongyi-shixong isn’t just extraordinarily handsome, he also possesses incredible spiritual strength. How can you compare them?”

“Tut-tut, you just can’t stand when anyone criticizes Gongyi-shixong, can you? Sure enough, you defended him right away– admit it!”

“A-admit what? Stupid girl, what did you just say? I dare you to say it again!”

Shen Qingqiu tunes out the giggling girls. He knows they’re talking about his disciple; he isn’t called the protagonist for no reason. Shen Qingqiu looked down at the contestants and could spot Binghe easily in the crowd. It wasn’t too hard considering the amount of ladies’ gazes directed towards him. That irritated sick feeling from before came back. He clenched his jaw as his grip tightened on his fan. Sure, Binghe is very nice to look at, but the amount of girls staring him down like a fresh piece of meat is just ridiculous!

His focus is snapped when he hears a creak. He looks down at the white knuckled grip he has on his fan and silently sighs, loosening the grip and looking away from the contestants. There was an awkward cough before someone proposed they start making their predictions of the victor. The proposition allowed Shen Qingqiu to relax slightly as the masters began gathering at the betting pool. Shen Qingqiu shamelessly bet five thousand spirit stones on Luo Binghe.

When Yue Qingyuan looked at him questioningly, Shen Qingqiu made up some excuse as a symbol of motivation. It wasn’t convincing to the other peak lords but Yue Qingyuan allowed it. Once Shen Qingqiu made the bet official, he heard the others muttering and asking about Luo Binghe. There was a smugness he felt knowing how humble Luo Binghe was about his many accomplishments. Only he knew of the greatness that was his Binghe.

He blinked, fan to his face masking the faint expression of surprise of his thoughts. His Binghe? Since when did Shen Qingqiu start thinking of Luo Binghe as his? Perhaps it’s how he is efficient with every little command that he is given? This is certainly not the time and place to be thinking about this.

The system flashes to him as the sound goes off for the hunt to commence. [ Incoming critical quest! “The Endless Abyss and Endless Hatred, a Sky Filled with Crystal Frost and Tears of Blood” will begin soon. ] Shen Qingqiu felt his stomach churn in anxiety staring at the screen. The clock is ticking, and he hopes that this doesn’t end in “Endless Hatred” like the title claims.

He glances at the other disciples in the top ranks, but he mainly focuses on the magical mirror that holds Luo Binghe. His disciple is effortless in his battles, using everything Shen Qingqiu taught him to defeat every demon. Shen Qingqiu’s private lessons with Binghe about demons have paid off swimmingly. The fan hides the small smile he wears as he watches his student pleased at the outcome of his hard work. It was like he was enchanted by his white lotus. A focused individual wielding Zheng Yang and slaying demons with ease.

As Luo Binghe worked he happened to rescue many girls that were ill suited to be in the competition. It was something he almost forgot, but he couldn’t help but feel annoyed as another tagalong was added due to Binghe’s chivalry. A spike of irritation spun from that annoyance bloomed in his stomach and up to his chest. He heard the Old Palace master make a noise of recognition when he looked at Luo Binghe in the mirror. There was a low creak in the wood of his fan when he glanced over at the Palace Master. The wide eyes of that man were in shock, but hungry. Like he was drawn to Binghe more than he should be for an NPC.

SNAP!

Shen Qingqiu looked down at the fan he was holding. One of the ribs snapped in two. He looked down at it with a frown. Binghe bought him this fan, a pity. He’ll have to get it repaired soon. He tucks the fan away in a qiankun pouch. He looks up to see Liu Qinge and Yue Qingyuan staring at him. Shen Qingqiu waves off their worries, and focuses on his disciple once more.

Shen Qingqiu realized that he recognized one of the girls following Binghe was Qin Wanyue, the first to bed with him. That irritated feeling intensified greatly at the revelation, damn near flooding his body, he swore he could feel his fingertips tingle at the amount of silent rage he was handling. He held his sleeve up to block what his fan now couldn’t.

He watched as the girls followed Luo Binghe like a patch of innocent ducklings unknowing of the dangerous world around them. His disciple didn’t seem to fully care for the company he was around either. That’s strange, Luo Binghe should be trying to sweep these maidens off their feet like a stallion protagonist should. This was an interesting turn of events. Maybe the stallion is going to be more exclusive? Shen Qingqiu has a gut feeling that after Luo Binghe’s time in the Abyss will turn him into that proper stallion he is meant to be.

His train of thought was cut short by the outraged cries of sect leaders looking at the mirrors in shock. There were demons that infiltrated the gorge, and their students were under attack. He heard someone demand the barrier be broken down, and Yue Qingyuan put a hard stop to it. Many leaders were outraged with his decree but the reasoning was solid. Shen Qingqiu filled in the reasoning to the others.

“Once you release the barrier, the disciples will be able to escape, but so will the demonic beasts trapped within– and they will scatter. There are villages only a few kilometers from here. The situation would become even more grave. Sect members and disciples at least have the ability to contend with the beasts, but the common people with no spiritual energy flowing through their meridians at all…” A silence fell amongst the crowd. Yue Qingyuan was absolutely right to keep the barrier up. This meant that the only solution would be to enter the barrier themselves and save their students.

Shen Qingqiu was preparing himself to head into the fray when Yue Qingyuan and Liu Qingge blocked his path. He asked them kindly to step aside, in which they did not. They told him that with the poison still in his system he should leave the safety of his Qing Jing peak disciples to them. He shook his head to their request.

“With disciples facing great difficulties, how can this peak lord hide on the high platform and relax? Since when is there this kind of reasoning? If I’m unable to protect my own disciples, then I don’t need to be the Peak Lord of my Qing Jing Peak anymore.” He also needed to fulfill a critical quest, but that doesn’t mean he is completely lying about his concern for his students’ safety.

A chime resonated and he saw a notification from the system. [ Through establishing  a positive image early, making the villain a three-dimensional character. B points +30! ] What a bittersweet reward.

Yue Qingyuan reluctantly allowed Shen Qingqiu to help. “Then you have to be careful. If you can’t confront something, contact us immediately through the auditory technique so we can support you.” Shen Qingqiu agreed to this term and immediately flew off on Xiu Ya, looking for his prized disciple surrounded by hapless, weaker disciples.

Shen Qingqiu arrived at the scene of a Ghost Head Spider attacking a disciple. The screaming of the pitiful group that Luo Binghe has acquired made them easily traceable. Shen Qingqiu made an arrow of energy and pierced the malicious head, killing it instantly. Shen Qingqiu landed with grace and gently fixed his sleeves before looking at the group with mild distaste. He cursed himself for breaking his fan, wishing he could use it as he scolded the group before him. “How noisy!”

Luo Binghe called out to him with a mixture of shock and joy. Shen Qingqiu couldn’t help the slight softening of his stern expression when he looked at his loyal disciple. He asks Binghe if anyone was hurt, and Binghe lists the fallen that Shen Qingqiu was aware of.

“Oh, it's been tiring for you.” Shen Qingqiu says, sympathizing with the protagonist's trope of rescuing everyone in sight. Binghe slightly smiles and his eyes brighten a bit: “This disciple is only doing his duty.”

Shen Qingqiu does his best to calm the thigh-hugging disciples Luo Binghe has managed to round up, informing them that there are many sect elders in the gorge to assist their students. This causes a wave of calmness and relief amongst the small crowd. Luo Binghe checked with Shen Qingiu to confirm that the head was a Ghost Head Spider.

Shen Qingqiu felt his heart swell with pride. His disciple remembered his extra lessons well. He kept the praise minimal, his face too thin to express it in front of all these people. Binghe seemed to perk up at the little praise he was given. Ah, losing this easily-pleased white lotus is a shame, Shen Qingqiu couldn’t help but have these thoughts. Binghe was such a dutiful boy, and not having him at his beck and call is going to be rough to transition out of.

His gleeful thought was disrupted by skittering he heard. Shen Qingqiu looked up and was immediately alarmed. He pulled the broken fan out and opened it, blasting a gust of wind at the summoned Ghost Head Spiders hanging above them. He shouted at the group to abscond. They managed to retreat to a safe haven with flowers. A disciple from Huan Hua asked why the monsters couldn’t cross. Shen Qingqiu asked if anyone knew what the magical flowers surrounding the barrier were like it was a test question; totally not because he couldn’t remember what they were.

Luo Binghe of course answered his question. He recalled that this flower was named too familiar to many other forms of fauna in this world, no wonder he didn’t recall it right away. Shen Qingqiu explained that the flower had demon repelling qualities for being a nemesis towards demonic types. This last bit of information seemed to pique his disciple’s interest. There was a fire alight in those eyes that made Shen Qingqiu’s heart skip a beat.

What the hell is this?! Body, stop acting like a damsel being confessed to!

“A natural nemesis towards demonic types?” The question mixed with the expression makes Shen Qingqiu a little nervous. “That’s correct.”

“Then, Shizun. This Thousand Leaf Cleansing Snow Lotus, would it be able to solve…strong demonic poison?”

Shen Qingqiu raised the broken fan to cover his face, mouth slightly agape in surprise. Luo Binghe wanted to pluck the flower for this old man? He felt his stomach churn in a nauseous feeling. Shen Qingqiu narrowed his eyes in a disapproving manner and spoke.

“Taking notice of those things is unnecessary. We need to deal with the crisis in front of our eyes.” Unfortunately for him, Luo Binghe was unwilling to let it go. “Inviting Shizun to inform this disciple.”

“That thing is no use.”

“How can Shizun know without at least giving it a try? This disciple knows Shizun doesn’t want to let this disciple encounter danger, but if this danger isn’t risked, then this disciple’s heart will never be at peace!”

Binghe!! Stop pressing this matter! How could I ever tell you that the only solution for this poison is that you do the pa pa pa with this old man?! Shen Qingqiu had no choice but to become a bit cold for the subject to be dropped.

“Has this master indulged you too often normally, that you can be wayward at a time like this?” His narrowed eyes seem to piece Luo Binghe as he saw the disciple open his mouth, but close it, no words left for him to say after being scolded in such a way after so long.

Their interaction was interrupted by the arrival of another Cang Qiong peak lord and some successfully retrieved students of various sects. Shang Qinghua of An Ding peak made himself known with a smile, sheathing his sword. “So, it's Elder Martial Brother Shen. Since we’ve met up with you all, my heart can be reassured.” Shen Qingqiu stifled a small hehe that tried to escape.

“Marital Brother Shang. Having come here, did you meet a large type of monster in the vicinity?” Shang Qinghua looked at him in surprise. “A large type of monster? As for this, there wasn’t”

His body felt like someone doused him in a bucket of ice cold water. The Black Moon Python Rhinoceros wasn’t around? That’s unsettling. If it never shows, how can he have reason to send Binghe in the Abyss? His blood has to be awakened, or all his planning will be moot.

His distress couldn’t help but be increased as there was no demonic trace of the creature within the vicinity, nor the sounds of its infamous cry. He can’t help but look over at Luo Binghe who is still clearly in deep thought about their little spat. He felt his chest warm up at the stubbornness of his disciple.

Ah, my white lotus. Your perseverance is admirable but do not worry about this old man.

Shen Qingqiu blinked again in surprise. He did it again, he thought of Binghe as his. Just what is he thinking? He forces that thought away and listens to Shang Qinghua’s rant that the person who released the demons on their students is despicable. Shen Qingqiu mentally let out another “hehe”. Bold of the criminal to act like a hero. His mental rant was stopped when the ground abruptly shook with great force.

There was no doubt about it, the Endless Abyss had finally opened.

The three of them waited in bated breath as they saw a demonic man step towards them. Shen QIngqiu watched in his periphery as Shang Qinghua turned white as a sheet at the appearance of this demon. Shen Qingiu has to admit, he doesn’t fully blame him. If his secret demon boss entered the cultivation world he would probably be scared witless too.

Shen Qingqiu couldn’t hold much pity for the man as his mind was completely haywired itself. Mobei-jun was a formidable demon who didn’t show until hundreds of chapters later. This threw everything Shen Qingqiu recalled of this part out the window. He missed Shang Qinghua’s approach to Mobei-jun and was only snapped back when he felt Qinghua’s blood vomit hit his robes. He looked down in disgust. That’s going to be a pain to wash out.

He looked up and blocked the group of disciples in Mobei-jun’s path, holding his sword in front of him. “Is Your Excellency a Demon Realm mediator?” A stupid question to ask in the face of this clearly powerful demon.

A flash of white and Luo Binghe was in front of Shen Qingqiu like a loyal guard. All of those unknown emotions stirred within him once more. Even though Binghe was scolded he still was loyal as ever to this master. It was an honorable gesture, but knowing what is to come he can’t help but protect him while he can. “Binghe, stand down.”

Luo Binghe did not respond nor did he heed Shen Qingqiu’s order, gluing himself down in front of the peak lord. Mobei-jun looked at Binghe like he found something amusing, and it made Shen Qinqiu's skin crawl. His voice was harsh as he scolded once more. “Running Wild! Since when does a disciple block in front of the master?”

“You are a Cang Qiong Mountain disciple?” Mobei-jun’s voice was finally heard since his approach. Luo Binghe responded. “Cang Qiong Mountain Sect’s Qing Jing peak disciple, Luo Binghe, greeting Your Excellency.” Mobei-jun had a cold unfeeling smile on his face.

“Immortal yet not immortal. Demonic, yet not demonic. Interesting.” Hearing those words made everything click for Shen Qingqiu. Was Mobei-jun playing the part of awakening Luo Binghe’s demonic blood instead of the Black Moon Python Rhinoceros?

He didn’t want to believe it, so he said in a cold tone: “Binghe, this master’s words, will you listen or not? Right now, I want you to quickly leave and bring all other sect elders nearby to here. Will you go or not?”

Luo Binghe kept his eyes on Mobei-jun as he responded: “”Shizun, he won’t let any of us leave. WE might as well pit our strength together and to battle.” This response amused Mobei-jun. He challenged them to battle.

Shen Qingqiu, determined to protect Luo Binghe, flashed in front of him, using Xiu Ya as a guard and grabbing Luo Binghe, throwing him out of Mobei-jun’s range of demonic energy. He immediately turned back to the ice demon and blocked his palm strike. He shall do his best to protect his student from Mobei-jun.

Binghe tried to join the fight, and his sword Zheng Yang was broken. Shen Qingqiu was overpowered by the demon and his torso took the brunt of it, his organs nearly crushed. He stifled the pain, a small bit of blood spilling from his lips. Shen Qingqiu watched Mobei-jun look at Binghe with excited, bloodthirsty eyes. He took a thrilled tone, calling to Luo Binghe that after he’s done finishing off Shen Qingqiu, they will fight.

Shen Qingqiu looked over at the dark and cold aura covering his disciple. He inhaled a gasp, only to cough up some blood he breathed in on accident. Luo Binghe seemed more enraged as he took in his teacher’s form. The peak lord didn’t have time to reassure him as he stared down black ice swords that were pointed directly at him.

Shen Qingqiu braced himself for death. This wasn’t how he was expecting to go in this world, but at least he’ll die heroically. He waited for the piercing blades to strike him. After a brief moment he opened his eyes, wondering why he wasn’t dead yet. Once he registered the scene before him he stared in awe. Luo Binghe had shattered all of the ice swords, protecting him.

He moved himself to prop against a tree. Moving the spiritual energy around to heal his form while watching this inhuman battle between his Binghe and Mobei-jun. He let himself stew in it this time instead of pushing it away. His Binghe. There was something about it that felt right, and he couldn’t tell why. As he began to reflect on their two years together he became closer and closer to a mind-breaking revelation.

He never reached it as he saw the flower protecting the other disciples had wilted and the ghost head spiders were back. His spiritual energy was low, so all he could do was grab the nasty things by their hair and throw them away from the group. As he threw these spider head creatures there was a large wave of demonic energy, knocking out the disciples and causing the Ghost Spider Heads to flee. Shen Qingqiu even felt a heavy weight on him as it pulsed the area. He looked over at Binghe and Mobei-jun.

Ah, so Mobei-jun is the replacement for the Black Moon Python Rhinoceros…

Before him were the two fighters, Binghe’s forehead shone as a red mark formed upon it. His blood was finally unlocked, giving him full access to his demonic heritage. Mobei-jun said something to Binghe before he passed out, then left. Shen Qingqiu fought through the pulsing waves and walked over to his half-mad disciple. He hit a few pressure points on him.

Although it brought his disciple back to consciousness, it also pushed another wave of demonic qi, causing Shen Qingqiu to spit up more blood. He wiped it off of his face, onto his dirty and now bloody sleeves. Binghe began to slowly register his surroundings again. Once he was mostly back, Shen Qingqiu called out to him.

“If you are back to yourself we can have a talk. Luo Binghe, tell the truth, how long have you been cultivating demonic techniques?” Binghe looked at him with wide eyes while Shen Qingqiu winced internally. It came out too harsh. He tried a different approach. “Please answer this master, Binghe.” The boy looked down in shame.

“...Two years, Shizun.”

Shen Qingqiu sighed. “Two years. No wonder you have been improving leaps and bounds. You truly have natural talent.” He watches as Binghe looked at him like a kicked puppy. He lifts his hand up and watches as Binghe stares at it, almost worried he’s going to hit him.

The hand lands on top of his head brushing the stray locks off his face. Luo Binghe looks at Shen Qingqiu in awe. The peak lord lets out a sigh.

“This master is upset that you hid this from him for so long. Then he could have helped Binghe hide his heritage. Alas, it’s too late for that.” The system screams at him. [ Warning! Endless Abyss and Endless Hatred, is officially opened! If unable to complete this quest, the protagonist coolness level will be deducted 20,000. ]

The deduction doubled? How crass of this system!

“Luo Binghe, you can’t stay here. If the other cultivators of this gorge find out you are of demonic blood they will attempt to seal you away or even kill you.” His white lotus looks at him with tears in his eyes.

“Shizun, where should I go? I don’t want to leave you!” Sticky disciple! You must go!

“I have taught you all that I could here in the mortal realm. You must go into the Abyss and hone your demonic abilities. Do you remember when I asked you if you were willing to face hardship to become the strongest? This place can help you.” He brings Binghe to the edge, and looks into his eyes. His thoughts from before come back, and as he makes eye contact with Luo Binghe, he reaches a mind breaking revelation.

Oh my god, when did I fall in love with Binghe?! He’s my student! What the hell!! I’m not gay, and he’s a stallion protagonist!

Shen Qingqiu quickly tries to push these thoughts away, but with his weakened state and the fact that there is no one conscious to witness them, he impulsively steps forward and presses his lips to Luo Binghe’s demon mark.

He snaps back to reality quickly and takes a couple steps back, clearing his throat and holding the fan to hide the embarrassment on his face.

“When you reach your full potential, come back home and show me how strong you’ve become. That’s an order.” Luo Binghe nods, his whole body in a stupor from what just transpired. Shen Qingqiu takes advantage of this stupor, stepping forward, and placing his hand on Binghe’s chest.

“There’s one last order from me until you come back, Luo Binghe.” Binghe dumbly nods, too stunned to realize they’re at the edge. Shen Qingqiu takes a deep breath before pushing him down the abyss, one last command coming from him.

“Fall.”
