April Fools, Hirano-san!

Summary:

It's April Fools and Kagiura thought it'll be nice to prank his roommate and crush

Work Text:

"Why is the class so noisy today?" Kagiura asked as he looked around the filled with laughter classroom.

"Just pulling some pranks to eachother," Niibashi answered with a sigh.

Kagiura looked at him with a confused looks. "It's April 1st, you dumbass," he answered as if he already know Kagiura's question.

"Ahh, I didn't realize the month already changed. You are not going to do the same, Niibashi?" Kagiura asked.

Niibashi shook his head. "I'm not creative in that sort of things. What am I gonna do anyway. Tell you that Hirano-senpai likes you? Wait, on second thought that might be a good idea."

Kagiura's face turned red. "Aw, come on! Why are you saying it as if that's something not going to happen!" he said as he pouted.

'Prank, huh?' he thought.

'I want to try it on Hirano-san, but I wonder what I should do...'

"Do you think I should pull a prank on Hirano-san?" he asked.

"How would I know?! It's not something you need to ask, you just do it or not!" Niibashi annoyingly kicked his friend's leg.

"Ouch!"

Then Kagiura became quiet as thoughts coming to his head. Thoughts of how he should prank his roommate. Hirano seemed like someone who wouldn't fall for pranks easily, but maybe, just maybe there's something Kagiura could do.

And an idea came to his mind.

"Stop grinning like a weirdo."

Kagiura snapped back to reality and glared at Niibashi. "I'm not a weirdo!"

💐

Kagiura opened his room's door with a sigh. Hirano who was sitting on his desk, averted his gaze towards the door. He pretended not to notice his Senpai's glance and walked to his bed.

He threw his body to the bed, can still felt the other staring at him. Hirano stared but didn't do anything.

'Isn't he going ask what's wrong?!' Kagiura grumbled to himself.

He once again let out a sigh. This time Kagiura can hear creaking sound from the chair and footsteps that kept getting closer to where he was laying. Hirano can't see it, but Kagiura was grinning against the sheet.

"Kagi-kun, are you feeling sick?" he asked.

Kagiura didn't answer him. "Kagi-kun?'

He was screaming to himself, Hirano sounds like he was worried and he wanted to answer him so bad!! But if he did that, it'll ruin all of his plans.

"Oi, why aren't you answering me?!" Hirano starting to ran out of patience and rocked Kagiura's body.

"Tsk!"

That caught Hirano out of guard. Did.. Kagiura just clicked his tongue to him?

"Hey-"

Kagiura turned around so he's now laying on his back, facing Hirano. "Sorry, Hirano-san. But don't worry, I'm fine," he answered.

Judging from Hirano's expression, he definitely didn't believe that. Kagiura stood up and walked to the door. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going for a quick jog." He didn't even looked at him as he answered.

"But you just came ba-"

Before Hirano could finish his words, Kagiura closed the door. No "I'm going" or "I'll come back soon", he just quickly went out without caring about Hirano.

After closing the door, Kagiura ran and took out his phone. And when he was pretty far from his room, he took out his phone, he pressed on it quickly to call someone. It didn't took long for the other to pick up his call.

"Niibashi!! I just clicked my tongue to Hirano-san!!"

"...Can you stop calling me?"

💐

Even during dinner Kagiura didn't talk to Hirano, and it was pretty frustrating for the older one. Even if Hirano tried to talk to him, Kagiura only answered with short sentences. After finishing their food, Hirano and Kagiura came back to their room to start their study session. Kagiura seems to focus more today, which was good, ...but unusual. He usually would crack a joke here and there and instead of listening to Hirano, he would draw doodles on his book. But today, he only looked at his book and nodded.

"Okay, that's all for today. We should rest," Hirano said as he stretched.

"Thanks, Hirano-san."

"You're more focused than usual, seems like you are eager to stay in the same room as me," Hirano grinned.

"Yeah."

There. Again with his short answers.

Kagiura gathered his books and stood up from his seat. "You've been acting weird today."

Kagiura jumped a little, but he regained his calm, "I just had a bad day."

Kagiura walked away but what Hirano said made his footsteps stop. "Maybe... your daily 10 seconds will make you feel better?" he suggested.

Kagiura gripped hard on his books, he wanted to throw the books and just hug him right now.

'Stay calm, Kagiura Akira!!'

Kagiura sighed. "I won't do that anymore."

"Huh?!" Hirano unconsciously stood up harshly from his seat.

"I realized it lately, that it seems like I always force you to do things you don't like," he continued.

Hirano grabbed, probably tugged, Kagiura wrist. Kagiura didn't expect that and almost loose his balance, the books he was holding now scattered on the floor.

"Look at me and say that again!"

Kagiura slowly turned around. He was unsure if he should continue this, because Hirano looked like a mess. Angry, confused, everything mixed. He gulped, "Hirano-san... Let's end this."

His eyes widened and he grabbed both of Kagiura's arm. "Why! I never said I was feeling forced nor I don't like it. I wouldn't even agree in the first place if I do feel that way. You know that right?!" he said while looking at the ground.

He stayed quiet for a while. He couldn't process what just happened. When did it all go wrong? ...End? What will end? His relationship with Kagiura?

...Will he not be able to see Kagiura's smile again?

No, he didn't want that!

Hirano looked up, "You don't... like me anymo-"

Ah, that's it.

"Hirano-san!" Kagiura called, making Hirano jolted.

"A-April Fools?" he said with an awkward smile.

"H-huh?"

"It's April 1st..."

The room stayed silent. Kagiura smiling awkwardly while Hirano staring at him. There's just too much to process.

"So, this was all a joke?" he finally spoke.

"Yes.. I'm sor- Ouch! Hirano-san, I'm going to lose my hair!!"

"You idiot! I'm going to make you bald!!" Hirano yelled and keep on pulling on Kagiura's hair.

Kagiura pulled Hirano's hand and hold it so he can't escape. They both looked at each other for a while. "I'm really sorry Hirano-san, I just thought it'll be fun to pull a prank on you."

He grunted, "Well, was it fun?"

"I-I know you will be mad if I said yes. But... I like seeing you worry about me," Kagiura grinned.

Hirano snatched his hands away and covered his face with it. "God, I lost my cool, that was so embarrassing."

Kagiura chuckled. "Then, can I still get my daily 10 seconds?"

"You think I'll let you after what you did?" Hirano glared at him.

He pouted. "You do have a point."

"I'm just kidding, come here."

Kagiura was taken by surprise. Instead of taking his hands, Hirano pulled him into a hug. "H-H-Hirano-san?!" he squirmed.

"Do you want it or not!"

At that word Kagiura quickly stopped squirming and hugged back Hirano. Nobody was counting, but it definitely has been more than 10 seconds. No one wanted to let go.

Kagiura rested his head on Hirano's shoulder. "I like you, Hirano-san," he mumbled.

"Yeah..."

"Me too."

His body tensed and he quickly pulled away. "Wait, what?! Say that again!"

"April fools, right back at ya."

Kagiura groaned. "That's not fair at all!"
