Chapter Text

  Danny knew that he was adopted, even before his parents told him. He could tell in the way that the longer he looked at himself in the mirror, the more he realized that he doesn't look like either of the people that adopted him. It's like his features shifted whenever he looked too long. His eyes were more of a duller blue almost gray, and his hair while still mostly black had some spots of brown colouring.

  He's not sure if he ever wants to meet his birth parents. They left him, either willingly or unwillingly and to his knowledge never looked for him, and they aren't a part of his life.

  Besides, he's happy with the parents he has, even if they spend most of their time in their lab, out ghost hunting, or out at ghost conventions that apparently happen outside of Amity, then spending time with their children.

  Speaking of ghost conventions, there just so happens to be one in London, a place that Danny has always wanted to visit, and FentonWorks was invited. Which is why Jazz and Danny Fenton were walking the streets of Down Town London while their parents set up their booth at the convention center that's connected to their hotel.

  During their walk, Danny, for lack of better words, felt odd, especially when walking past some places. At first, he chalked it up to feeling homesick. Until he felt the feeling more often the closer they got to the "center" of downtown and the Feeing turned into less of a mild stomach ache and into more of a "it feels like a bunch of ants crawling under my skin".

  At that point, Jazz decided that it was best to abandon their walk and return to their hotel, in which they are staying for the next week.

  That leads us to now. It's nearly midnight and his parents, who got back not long after they did, and his sister are peacefully asleep, while Danny lays there wide awake. He hasn't been able to get even a wink of sleep after their walk, the feeling under his skin never really went away and only dulled to more of the feeling you get after your foot or hand falls asleep, when they finally got back to their room.

  After getting out of the bed that he and Jazz had made from the pull-out couch, he changed into the clothes he was planning on wearing the next day. While they are comfortable, he doesn't want to go out in his space pyjamas, his space hoodie looks much better.

  He got dressed in the bathroom before shifting and flying through the ceiling, invisibly, and out into the night air.

  Flying over London is a much different experience than flying over Amity. London, in some places, looks and feels grimy yet oddly comforting in a way that Amity Park hasn't felt like for the past year, almost as long as he's had his powers (and almost the same time as when his parents started hunting him and the other ghosts).

  As he was flying over more buildings that look the same as the ones beside and across the street from them, he felt the feeling again, but this time it felt like it was in the center of his chest, pulling, almost like it was trying to lead him somewhere. Going against his instincts to fly away and never come back, he follows the feeling.

  Flying for about five minutes led Danny to a street full of houses. Lowering to the empty street, his form started shifting. His otherworldly white hair was chased away by the black from his roots. His pure ectoplasmic green eyes faded to his natural grey-blue.

  He turned in the direction the Feeling was telling him to, just behind him was a house. A house much like the other ones on the street but it was, old? dirty? Danny didn't know how to describe just how out of place this house was. It looked like it wasn't supposed to be there like he was not meant to see it.

  He must have been standing there for a long time, studying the house and its feeling because he was shocked out of his state by a hand gripping his shoulder and a sneering voice made itself known just behind him.

"What do you think you're doing boy?"

Chapter 2: Sirius

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

It was the second meeting for the new Order of the Pheonix. Everyone was sat at the dining room table, idly talking to each other while they wait for Snape.

Sirius sits at the head of the table, Dumbledore seated across from him at the other end of the table, his husband sat to his right and he didn't totally remember who was sitting to his left.

He wasn't paying any attention to the people that were chatting around him, he was thinking about his godson. Harry had sent a letter telling Sirius about the final task and how it was coming up in a few days. He was thinking about what to write back other than "Good luck" and other words of encouragement.

His musing was interrupted by Remus suddenly standing up from the seat beside him. Just from the look on his face, Sirius could tell something was wrong.

"What's wrong Moony?" He placed his hand that was previously holding up his head onto his husband's that were still on the table.

"Someone's here," Remus said softly.

Sirius knew that he had put an excessive amount of protective charms on the house, on top of Dumbledore Fidelius Charm. He briefly wondered if one of the spells was triggered or if it was his enhanced werewolf senses.

"Smells like a kid."

Well, that answered his question.

"You're sure it's not Snape, and you're not just smelling the kids he's been around?" that sounded a lot better in his head. He rose to stand beside his husband.

"I'm positive it's a kid, a young boy most likely, probably around Harry's age." Odd, Sirius was just thinking about him.

"What's a boy doing out at such a time? And in this area no less?" Molly asked, standing up.

Others started to stand asking similar questions.

They were all interrupted by the front door slamming open and the sound of a young boy's voice.

"Let me go, you greasy, robe-wearing-!" He was cut off by a yelp as he tripped onto the dining room floor.

Chapter 3: Adhara

Chapter Text

  Dumbledore finally stood from his place at the end of the table.

  "Severus, what is the meaning of this?"

  "I found this boy," he practically spat the word, "roaming around outside, staring at the house."

  "That should be impossible." Dumbledore walked over to where the boy was still lying on the floor.

  "Yeah, well, I saw it, then Greasy over here kidnapped me." The boy said as he started to stand.

  Now that he could actually see him, the boy had dark brown hair and bluish-grey eyes. Sirius thought that he almost looked just like Moony did when they were Harry's age.

  He was once again brought out of his musing by his husband. Glancing at him he could see that his eyes were wide in shock, he had moved his hand that was under his own to grasp at his forearm.

  "Delphinus?"

  "What?" Sirius and the boy had said at the same time. The boy in confusion and Sirius out of shock.

  He knew that werewolves could instinctually tell who is a part of their family whether biological or chosen, biological usually being stronger even if they haven't been together in years. There hasn't been much study about it due to most wizard kind refusing to work with werewolves.

  Given Remus' reaction and the fact that he had called this boy a name he hasn't heard in 13 years.

  This had to be him.

~~~~
  14 years ago, Sirius and Remus had a child, a boy just a few weeks younger than James and Lily's son, Harry.
  They were young and honestly weren't expecting a child. While Sirius wanted nothing to do with the Black's and their name, he decided to keep the trend with first names. They knew it probably wasn't the best name but they thought it would be fitting. The constellation Delphinus is one of the smallest in the sky. They found it fitting for their tiny son.
  After Sirius had attempted to seek revenge on Pettigrew for ratting out his best friends, he was framed for his "betrayal" of the Potters as their secret keeper and the murder of 12 muggles, at the same time, the Ministry had broken into their home at the time and had taken their son, Dolphanus, claiming it was "for the greater good of wizard kind that the spawn of Sirius Black was taken and disposed of."
  Remus thought that the Ministry had killed their son, he never thought they would get to see him again, and here he is, in their home, alive and well.
  Remus slowly Walked around the table and up to their son.
  "I thought they killed you." Even though he couldn't see his face, Sirius knew he had the most heartbreaking face as he held the boy's face in his hands.
  "Who are you- Who even are you?" The boy backed up suddenly it looked like he went through his hands.
  Remus backed up so he was a comfortable distance away from his son.
  "Right," he sighed. "I suppose you wouldn't know who we are. Any of us." He looked to Sirius as he stood beside him and gave his hand a comforting squeeze. "My name is Remus Lupin, and this is my husband Sirius." He took a moment to steady himself and take a breath. "We are your fathers."
  "What? Why-? How did I end up in America?"
~~~~

  Danny nearly face-palmed after his brain caught up to what he said. Out of all the questions he wanted to ask, that was the first one?

  "Um, we're not sure." The tall guy- Sirius- his dad, one of his dads, that's a crazy thought and one he can think on later, said. "We- Remus was led to believe that you were taken by the Ministry, to be 'disposed of'."

  "The Ministry?"

  "The Ministry of Magic." Remus Explained.

  "Right, magic. I guess that explains why you never looked for me." Danny muttered to himself.

  "I tried my best to fight for you, please believe me I did." Remus pleaded.

  Danny looked into his eyes, looking for any sign that he was lying but only ended up seeing his own. Huh, so that's where he gets them from then.

  He shook his head. He was getting distracted. This was just supposed to be a short flight to see what was making him feel so weird. This is getting out of hand and he's ready to actually go to sleep.

  "Look, it's late, I have many questions, but I'm tired. How about I come back tomorrow so my sister doesn't wake up and decide to kill me because I'm not in my bed. Cool? Cool." He started to back away from everyone and over to the door they came in through. Only when he opened the door, he wasn't met with the street, instead, he opened the door and saw the dining room from another angle.

  "What?" He stood there for a moment before backing up again and looking over his shoulder to where Greasy was still standing in the doorway, he looked back through the door he just opened again and he could see Greasy standing across the room. In the same doorway, but this time he noticed that he was holding an odd-looking stick.

~~~~
  "Severus! What are you doing? Let the poor boy go, he's clearly in shock!" Molly scolded as she walked over to Delpinus.
  "Let's get you out of here, dear." Molly led him through the dining room, down the hall and out the front door that actually led to the street. She stopped when they reached the middle of the road. When she gets back inside she's going to have to talk to both Remus and Sirius about keeping the kept the fact that they have a son secret, although it did seem like a sore subject.
  "Will you be alright? Do you know your way back to where you're staying? I can walk you there if you'd like?" Truthfully she would rather he didn't go by himself, but who was she to stop him?
  "Yeah, I'm okay. I- I can get back on my own."
  "Good, be safe on your travels. Do come back tomorrow if you can? There will be less people and I'm sure your fathers would love to see you again and answer any questions you may have. Now, go get some rest, dear."
  "Right, thank you. Bye." She watched as he walked down the street before finally turning away and walking back into number 12 Grimmauld Place.
~~~~

  As soon as the nice red-haired lady turned around to go back into the house, he turned invisible and flew away in the direction he knew their hotel was in.

  He flew through the walls and into the bathroom where the door was still closed, the light was still on and he could still hear his parents snoring.

  Danny shifted once again to his black hair and blue eyes then turned the light off and left the bathroom before pausing at the sight of his sister standing in front of him.

  "Where have you been?"

Notes:

A third chapter?! That practically unheard of from me! And it doubles the work count!!

And I know the name they (I) chose for Danny is weird/odd or doesn’t make sense at all, but like there’s no good stars or constellations that start with a D

If anyone was wondering what Danny was going to say before he cut himself off he was going to ask “who are you talking about?” But probably no one cares but now you know

And again, if anyone was wondering what Danny means when he says “that explains why you never looked for me.” He’s thinking about how magic, from his experience from ghosts, work. And the fact that it was basically a government department that took him away

Also, yes, Jazz is unknowingly quoting Mrs. Weasley

Anyway that’s all I got for now

see you next time, whenever that may be :)
