Work Text:
From the Sullivan-Smith File compiled by John Benton. Digitized by Kate Stewart.
"Dr. Sullivan speaking."
"Yes. This is Sarah Jane Smith. I would like to speak to you about your recent activities at UNIT."
"Look here, that information is classified and not for the press. You should know that, old girl."
"Uh, let me phrase that differently: hi, Harry. I think you're a snappy dresser. I would like to discuss our future over dinner."
"Wait, Sarah, are you asking me on a date?"
"Do you object to me asking?"
"I'm not THAT old-fashioned!"
"Great. I'll see you at 8."

"Hello, Will? You'd never believe it, old chap: Sarah Jane Smith wants to date me. Me? ME!!! I thought she was out of my league!"
"Er, Sarah Jane Smith. Is that the Sarah Jane Smith who just wrote a thinkpiece about the HSE violations of the NHS for Metropolitan Magazine?"
"Yes, that would be the bird."
"Is there a reason you're chummy with one of the most prominent journalists in the country enough to date her?"
"Er, that's classified."
"Is it classified in the way that you disappearing for several months, then being deployed to China is classified?"
"Er, yes."
"Come to think of it, she wouldn't be the same Sera Gein Smitte who was the assistant of a traveling charlatan called Il Dottore, referred to in an obscure 15th-century Italian document?"
"That's not unlikely."
"How is that even possible?"
"That's classified."

"Hello, Brigadier, sir? There's a historical research society that I think UNIT might need to look into."
"Ah, yes, Orbus Postramo, is it, Sullivan? I had Benton look into them three years ago at your request. It's all right. They're perfectly harmless."
"Perfectly harmless, sir? My brother wants to kill my girlfriend."
"There's nothing to it, Sullivan. All they do is discuss historical documents. Their latest dealt with an incident concerning a Zahra Giyana Faybro in San Martino. It's nothing to write home about."
"Sara Gianna Fabro means Sarah Jane Smith, sir."
"..."
"Can I tell Miss Smith about it, sir?"
"Absolutely not, Sullivan! That information is classified!"

"Sarah Jane Smith speaking. What information do you have for me?"
"Er... Sarah, old thing... I'm changing my job."
"What? Finally! You can finally head for that country practice that you said you wanted when we were on Voga!"
"Er... no."
"Or you can work at a city hospital!"
"No, old girl. I requested a transfer. To MI6."
"What?"
"..."
"How could you? Don't you love me?"
"Desperately."
"Then why are you making choices that will sabotage our future? Look, Harry, if you don't knock this off, I'll just have to find someone else!"
"I think that might be for the best, my love."
"I don't WANT anyone else! I love YOU, Harry!"

"Excuse me? Miss Smith? Your fiancee's ghost was spotted at 12 Bannerman Road by a former UNIT nurse. We thought you should know."
"Fiancee... What would Harry be doing there? He disappeared in the Amazon!"
"No idea, miss. We just thought you ought to know."
"I'm the only family he has left, is it? Too bad about his stepbrother."
"Yes, miss."
"You'd think that being close to Harry would keep him away from such an awful organization, especially one that wanted to murder me."
"Wilbur Sullivan was the person responsible for the creation of the Crimson Chapter, miss."
"Oh..."
"Sorry, miss."
"Will gave his life trying to protect mine."
"That's very interesting, miss."
