10:42 pm. Curfew was at 9.
The three kids slowly trudged up to the door, pausing for a moment.
"Guys, don't worry. I think I have an idea." Valkyrie said, stepping in front of her brothers and opening the door.
As expected, Glam was sitting on the couch, waiting for them. But Val had a few tricks up her sleeve.
"Daddy!" She exclaimed, running over and quickly hugging him, "Oh my gosh we had so much fun! We did a lot of cool things and I really really wanna tell you about it!"
Glam looked down at his daughter, letting out a sigh before standing up and hugging her back.
"Why don't I go make us some tea and you can tell me all about it?"
"Yea!"
"-And there was this biiiiiggg tree that was the size of our house!" Valkyrie gushed, flapping her hands as she spoke, "Well, not as wide, but as tall!"
"Very interesting!" Glam said, filling up his cup before taking a sip, "And then what did you do?"
"Well, I tried to climb this big tree! But...I fell on my butt a few times."
"As expected, dear."
"Yea, I guess so. And then Heavy showed us this awesome spot in the middle of the clearing where you can see most of the town!"
"Wonderful!" Glam smiled as he took another sip of his tea.
"I know!"
Soon, Valkyrie began to yawn, propping her head up on her arm to prevent her from falling asleep. Her father took quick notice, gently picking up their empty tea cups.
"Why don't you go get some sleep, dear, and you can finish telling me in the morning?" He offered as he set the dishes in the sink.
"That sounds good!" Valkyrie agreed, getting up and stretching before starting to walk out of the kitchen.
"Oh, and real quick," Glam asked, causing Val to pause, "Could you call down your brothers when you get upstairs?"
"Ok, daddy.."
As Val settled down in her bed for the night, she thought she heard the sounds of a lecture from downstairs, but wasn't completely sure. The poor thing was too tuckered out to really mind at that point, and she slowly drifted off to sleep.
