Work Text:
In a house on the outskirts of the village lived a mother with her children Nico & Koi. Life was challenging for the family, since the twins were constantly competing.
One day Nico became ill and needed help. The mother was not prepared to such an incident. She focused to her ill child and took it to the doctor. She bought the necessary medication and lovingly cared for her child. It was not long before Koi felt lonely. The healthy child observed as the mother paid attention to the twin. Besides, Nico got something from a bottle, which was usually for adults. Koi asked, if it could also try. But the mother strictly forbade. She explained that the medicine was only for the twin. Koi did not understand the answer and looked to the mother faithless.
In the evening the sick child felt much better and during the night Nico was able to sleep soundly. Koi, however, lay in bed with eyes open. Why wasn't it allowed to try a little sip out of that bottle? After all, the cure magically helped the twin, who already got it three times. Koi couldn't think of anything else and felt treated unjustly. Surely the twin wanted to gain an advantage and deceived the mother. The twin foxed with an illness to get some of that miracle cure. "You don't fool me!" thought Koi angrily, got out of the bed and went to the twin's bedside table. The child picked up the bottle, opened it and took a big gulp. The cure tasted bitter and burned terribly. Koi spat out, smashed the medicine and started screaming. The mother came running, carried her child into the bathroom and rinsed its mouth.
Next morning, Koi was afraid of a punishment. But nothing like that happened. The mother came into the room and cuddled with both children. Later on, she went to the doctor and bought medicine as the day before. But this time she took Nico and Koi with her and the children got a small present - a tin of dragées.
