Chapter Text
Reddoons was terrified when Cube brought up the Maze Runner event a while ago originally. But, he didn't think he would deal with it on Eclipse of all places.
IDK brought up the event, having the idea to run it with Cube sometime soon. Currently, they- Aeon, Jet, IDK, Cube, and Allrich- were having a discussion on what they were going to do.
But, Reddoons despised this very idea.
"Yeah, so, me and Cube are going to be hosting an event inside a maze." IDK smiled. "And, with a bit of discussion, I was able to get a maze from STARR!"
"What?" Reddoons knew his voice was quieter than normal. He was aware of the confused look that IDK gave him. Red wasn't expecting his past to catch up with him on this server.
This couldn't be real.
The Maze was fine, it was just messing around with his friends and such… but STARR was very much not a good company to work with.
"Were we unable to get a Maze from elsewhere?" He mainly targeted the question towards IDK, seeing as the other was someone who was going to help run the event.
"No, they are the only ones that were cheap enough-"
"We can't put people at risk, IDK. Do you not realize what they do to people?" Reddoons hissed. "They put prisoners- sometimes innocent people- into those Mazes as a punishment . This isn't all fun and games."
"Well, it would be harder to make one for ourselves, wouldn't it?" IDK asked.
"Yes, but that is better than getting one of STARR's Mazes."
"I understand you might not agree with them, but listen-"
"IDKnows. I signed my life away to STARR. You don't understand what would happen if they find out that I am a part of the server that they are giving a Maze too," Reddoons stated. "You don't know how much potential risk there is with this whole thing."
IDK let out a sigh, catching Red's attention once again. "Alright, I'll do my own research-"
"Do you not believe me?" Red asked.
IDK didn't say a word. However, Cube tried to calm tensions down.
"Listen, Red, we didn't know-"
"Now you are just lying," Reddoons growled. "I know that you and Mid at least know of STARR. Did the name not ring a bell? Did you not remember the meeting where I literally broke down because of the mere mention of a maze?"
"Well that isn't exactly our fault… I didn't exactly know that this would be a concern." IDK grumbled.
"You don't get to talk anymore, IDK," Reddoons hissed. "I just want to hear what Cube had to say about this."
Cube threw his hands up. "Woah- I think maybe we should take a break and let everyone calm down."
Reddoons knew that Cube was dodging the conversation, causing him to send a glare at Cube. "Fine. I guess we will-"
"Reddoons, calm down, please." Jet hissed out. The fish was clearly annoyed at Red, sending a glare at the other. "Don't be all snarky about it. We are going to be taking a break, okay?"
Red just continued to glare at them, his tail lashing as he was fully prepared to start fighting IDK.
Before the fight could continue, Cube had dragged IDK outside of the room. Soon enough, everyone started to leave the room for the break.
This only left Red and Jet, with Allrich watching on.
"You got that out of your system?" Jet asked, a bit of a hiss still in his tone.
"I guess." The demon huffed, looking away.
"Go take a break, you need it." Jet gestured for Red to leave, but the demon didn't leave. Instead, he sat down with a hum.
"Naw, I'm comfortable here."
"Alright, I'll call everyone back in about…" Jet looked at a clock, squinted, then checked his communicator. "Ten minutes."
Red nodded. "Alright."
"You going to say anything else or-"
"Nope." Red popped the p, Jet could sense the grin underneath the red bodysuit.
Jet just shrugged and left the room to indulge in the break as much as he could, hoping he wouldn't need to rip out some scales due to this stress when everyone gathers up again.
