Reki Ryan was a part of a championship skateboarding trio, [The Masked Trio]. He left after a tragedy. Reki works in a skateboarding shop now. However, still participates in S races.
The Masked Trio is a trio of skateboarders who disguised their identities with masks. Reki in his case, also had a wig. They were a trio that were a bit extra as each specialized in different things.
The Masked Trio had [Ace], [Reaper] and [Star]. Reki was [Ace].
[Ace] specialized in long races that included slopes, stairs and railings. [Ace] was the strategist of the three, but also customized and fixed their skateboards as well.
[Star] specialized in short races that included railings, corners and shortcuts. [Star] was the one that was a trick master.
[Reaper] specialized in medium sized races that had slopes, corners, straight lines. [Reaper] was also a weapon master that casually involved weapons while skating, but that depended if that one were allowed.
All in all, they were quite popular worldwide.
Skateboarding was always Reki Ryan’s hobby. That was partially the reason that Reki went to skateboarding matches. The only other reason was because he wanted to support his wonderful family, even if some are annoying sometimes.
There at the matches he attended, he met a duo of other skaters who also had the same hobby outside of matches. They quickly became friends while also soon they participated in the teams championships.
After winning the championship with his friends, The member [Star] dies in a car crash. Reki and [Reaper] mourned the guy who died for quite a while. [The Masked Trio] disbands because of it, too.
Reki quits the championships, while [Reaper] quits normal racing and just racing with weapons.
Reki’s grief for [Star] really never deplenished fully, even after he met Langa Hasegawa at school, an old snowboarder. Langa showed some interest in skateboarding as well. Reki did the logical thing and showed Langa how to skateboard.
Langa, being an old snowboarder, needed some modifications on his skateboard. Reki was glad to modify it for a new friend. Langa was also a quick learner since he carried some of the skills of snowboarding in.
When Reki introduced Langa to S races, Langa showed neutrality towards it, but he did win most races that he attended.
[Adam], one of the co-founders of S and also the most insane out of them suddenly pops in and takes interest in Langa or [Snow]. Reki, being a great friend, tells Langa to not skate with [Adam].
Of course, Langa skates with [Adam] anyway, discarding the only thing Reki told him not to do.
It was fine. Reki repeated to himself.
[Adam] ties with [Snow], something that never happened before in S races, but it was only due to the police, of course.
However, the crazy co-founder now has even more interest in [Snow]. Reki forced Langa to promise him to not skate with [Adam].
Not to mention, Kaoru Sakurayashiki [Cherry] and Kojiro Nanjo [Joe] also have interest in Langa now. [Cherry] and [Joe] as Co-founders of S both introduce themselves to Reki and Langa hoping to be friends with Langa.
Reki introduces himself first then Langa does. [Cherry] was visibly frustrated that Reki introduced himself first, but nothing else really happened.
[Adam] challenges [Snow] another match to see his growth. Langa tells Reki, [Cherry], and [Joe]. Reki reminds Langa of his promise to him as the other two also tries to convince Langa not to.
However, Langa convinces the two co-founders after he stated that he was fine when he raced [Adam] before. Reki still didn’t believe Langa would be fine a second time, and stepped in as [Adam] asked [Snow] about if [Snow] was accepting the request.
Reki yelled out. “If you want to race Snow, let’s race first.” [Adam] accepts the almost immediately challenge and races Reki.
Reki being rusty and not being specialized in turns and straight routes loses the match. Reki was then shamed by multiple people watching as he took the spot of a perfectly good match.
Reki was also harmed by one of [Adam]’s tricks. Not that Langa ever asked, or even noticed.
