It felt right. And that was all Raine cared about at that moment. Eda curled up next to them, a comfortable weight against them that put their worries and anxieties to ease. Eda’s hand on their chest, their heart hammering beneath it. And Raine held it there, their hand wrapped around Eda’s wrist. The other lost in the tangles of her hair.
Their breathing in sync as one singular thought drifted through Raine’s mind. How they hoped this would never end. Raine turned their head to the side, lips brushing against Eda’s forehead, as if sealing the promise to themself.
