"Where… am I?"
Whole looked around. A white void surrounds him, except a house stands in front of him. Thinking there are probably people living inside, He walked over to the house when-
“You’re finally here.”
“Huh?”
“Hey Soul, have you seen Mind lately?”
“Now that I’ve thought about it, not really.”
The Heart and the Soul were in their living room, drinking water. The window next to the front door was opened.
“I’m starting to get pretty worried." Heart said. "What if something happened-”
“I don’t… I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO!”
Heart and Soul jumped from the couch and crowded over to the window
“Is that… Mind?”
“I’ve tried everything!" Whole exclaimed. "I tried to get help, yet somehow, everything crashed down! I can’t keep up with my life! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!”
“...You're being noisy." Mind said. "Calm down.”
“HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN?!”
“...in the first place, you were the one who assumed she hated you. That’s not it, right?”
“She said that she’d rather die than be with me as her man!”
“Is it really?”
“...well, not really. She-”
“Then stop lying to yourself.”
“I’m not! I… She said it herself!”
“Well, if you are fine twisting words to your liking, be my guest. However, if you do not get out of this mentality, you are going to lose your footing.”
“...!”
Whole looked at the Mind with uneasiness. He was looking at him with a stern expression painted on his face.
“Can you accept this situation?” Mind asked. “You are here because you are at your lowest point. Am I wrong?”
“......I…”
Mind shakes his head. “If you believe nothing can be done, you can start by killing your emotions. If you cannot do that…”
“...start by doing something with your life.”
Whole looks down, letting his words linger in his head.
“What… How do I start?” he asked.
“You can start by moving on.”
Whole looks up at him. “But how?”
Mind pauses. How would he? It’s clear that Whole has been in this situation a bunch of times, yet he always falls down into this endless cycle, no matter how much he tries to avoid it.
But he spoke up. “You can start by taking your mind off her. She will only bring you suffering. She is the reason you’re in this state.”
“That’s not true! I… she would never do this…”
“Did you not say she would rather die than to be with you?”
Whole looked down and sighed. “...I have to go.”
He ran away.
“ Whole…” Heart softly called out from the window.
Mind sighed. "...Damn it. He got away."
Soul stepped outside the house. “What the hell Mind? What if something happened to him?”
Mind turned to Soul’s direction. “He will never get it if I wasn’t put it clearly. I have no intention of pampering him the way you and Heart do when you’re in control.”
Soul paused. He was right. No matter how much the words hurt Whole, he needed to hear them.
“So what’s going to happen now?” Heart asked.
Soul turned to Heart. “I guess we’ll wait and see.”
