Uno awoke. Something felt off. He opened his eyes and looked up, spotting Jyugo. He was staring out the cell windows like usual. “Jyugo~” He called, drawing the youngers attention, “Can’t sleep again?” he whispered. Jyugo nodded, affirming his previous suspicions. Uno flipped around, now lying on his stomach, Jyugo only turned back to the sky through their cell bars. Uno pulled the blanket off himself and got up, walking to where Jyugo had been sitting, probably for the past few hours. Considering he was in the same spot he was when the others went to bed. Uno sighed and sat down next to the smaller, leaning back on the palms of his hands. “What’s wrong?” He continued to whisper, not wanting to wake the other two. “I’m not sure, I don’t wanna sleep just in case I have those terrors again…” Uno nodded, despite never actually having night terrors himself. They continued to sit in silence. That was until Uno saw something outside their barred window. “Can you take us to the roof?” He beamed, whisper-shouting at the younger. “Of course I can,” he rolled his heterochromatic eyes, “but why?”. Uno didn’t answer, instead, grabbing Jyugo’s hand and leading them to the door. Ushering Jyugo to hurry and open the door, Uno’s bright smile never faltered once.
Once they were outside, Jyugo looked at the other, confused, “Why’d you bring me here? And why do you have both our bedding…?” He motioned to the blankets Uno had been carrying all the way up the building. He began laying the bedding out, using his own first so as to not get Jyugo’s dirty. He stood, still awaiting a reply from Uno. He finished setting the blankets out and sat, motioning for the younger to join in the spot next to him. Jyugo took his spot, still confused as to why they were on the roof at whatever A.M. Uno, with one hand tangled together with Jyugo’s, pointed to the sky. He followed the others hand and looked up. Seeing dozens of small specks shoot across the cosmos left Jyugo stunned, with an amazed look on his face and stars in his eyes. He looked back at Uno, who smiled wide, “What’s happening?”. The gambler gave a small chuckle at the youngers eagerness, “It’s a meteor shower! I saw it on the news a few days ago but completely forgot until now”. He tried to explain but Jyugo only looked back up, following the comets with his ever-changing eyes. “All those blurs are meteors-” he was cut off by an excited teen.
“What’s a meteor?” the teen's lack of knowledge in just about every area left a small hole in Uno’s heart, but he tried to ignore it and explain, nonetheless. “It’s like a piece of space rock” he began, now with the other's eyes on him, “it floats around space really quickly, that's why you only see it for a second,” he tried to explain it so Jyugo could understand. However, the confusion written on his face told the truth. Regardless, he smiled softly and spoke, “T-thanks…for showing me…this”. It came out slow and jumbled, but Uno knew what he was trying to say. He cut the others incoherent mumbling off, “You’re welcome, Jyugo”.
