Tech was heavily pregnant and his pregnancy had its ups and downs. Crosshair was very helpful to Tech whenever he needed help with something or wasn’t feeling well. Even though he and Crosshair got their growth shot to slow aging DNA in them and their chips out, it didn’t slow enough but Tech and the baby are safe. Crosshair is doing OK. He still has his wonderful hair.
Anyway…Tech was 3 months pregnant but he looked like he was 9 months pregnant. Tech and Crosshair were worried that their baby will be 5 yrs old the next day after the baby was born but were reassured that the baby was fine and that they will give the baby a shot to slow down the aging DNA after it was born. After hearing about that, both of them were relieved to hear that their baby was going to be OK.
Since Tech was “technically” 9 months pregnant, he and Crosshair stayed on Kamino to have their baby. Hunter, Wrecker, Echo, and Omega went to Ryloth to watch Numa while Waxer was having a C-section with Boil’s child at the Hospital there. (this story will be written later too). It was good for the rest of their Brothers to be on Ryloth because they didn’t want Wrecker barging into the Medical Bay and watching Tech give BIRTH.
Crosshair was happy that Wrecker wouldn’t be there to watch Tech give birth. He would get in the way when Medic Brothers help Tech deliver the baby. Wrecker was always curious about how a REAL baby was born after Tech & Crosshair had announced that they were having a baby to their Brothers and Omega. Omega was REALLY excited because it meant that she will be an Aunt and have a Niece or Nephew.
Even though Crosshair was happy about not seeing Wrecker and the others, Tech was more happy about that. He didn’t feel comfortable with a lot of his Brothers watching him give birth. Just thinking about having a lot of people watching him give birth made Tech shiver. Luckily Crosshair has reassured him that everything will be OK and that he will be there when Tech gives birth. Tech was so lucky to have a caring Brother/Boyfriend/the Father of Tech’s child with him as the days got closer to his due date and not on the battlefield with his other Brothers.
Tech feels bad that Crosshair is helping him with the baby and not out there on the battlefield because he KNOWS that Crosshair needs something to do some sort of fighting. It’s like a Clone with NO armor going to battle or in Crosshair’s case, no toothpicks. Even though Tech keeps on saying that he is sorry for having him stay on Kamino but Crosshair keeps telling Tech that he wouldn’t change it for the whole galaxy just to be with him and their child. Besides, their ARC Clone Brothers told Tech & Crosshair that Crosshair can train some Clone Cadets on Kamino so he could be close to Tech when Tech has his baby and to make sure that the Kaminoans don’t come near Tech while his pregnant and would make sure that only their Clone Medic Brothers are there to help Tech when he goes into labor. Crosshair will be right by Tech’s side when Tech goes into labor.
Since Tech was heavily pregnant, he stayed in their quarters until his due date. Coric was always making sure that he would check in every other day to tell when Tech might be having his baby. Crosshair was so excited when he heard the news that their baby will be coming soon but Tech was not too excited because he was giving birth to the baby and not Crosshair.
One day, Tech woke up in pain but he didn’t think about it because it would come and go. Tech just thought that it was just his body getting used to his new changes in his body because he had a new life growing inside him.
“Alright. I’m heading to work now.” Crosshair told Tech before heading out the door but gave Tech a kiss on Tech’s forehead then a kiss on Tech’s stomach.
Tech smiled then his smile went into a funny face. “Ouch. Ow.”
“Are you OK?” Crosshair looks up at Tech who is still smiling.
“I’m OK. They have just been really active since 5 am. I don’t mind the kicks really. It’s the peeing a lot and throwing up that’s making me tired but it’s all worth it. Soon we will have our baby.” Tech told Crosshair then gave him a kiss on the lips.
Crosshair smiled at Tech and told Tech that if they get worse, he should contact him IMMEDIATELY if the pain gets worse. Tech nodded as he gave Crosshair one more kiss before leaving the room. Tech always loved Crosshair for taking care of him and their baby.
While Crosshair was teaching his new young Clone Cadets Brothers on shooting droids, Tech was reading a book on his Holopad about “Things To Know For First Time Mothers”. Tech always LOVES learning about new things.
As Tech was reading, he felt a sharp pain from his stomach. The pain was stronger than the ones earlier. He was about to question himself if he was going into labor but quickly dismissed the idea as he kept reading. He soon realized that was a BIG mistake.
“Ouch.” Tech chuckles to himself as he rubs the spot that his baby last kicked. “Are you telling Daddy that you're hungry or just need to stretch?”
Tech soon realized that it wasn’t any of those two when he saw a puddle that was right between his legs. That’s right. Tech’s water had broken which meant that the baby was coming soon. He didn’t know WHO to contact first. Should he contact the Medics first so they help him deliver the baby but might not let Crosshair in to be his birthing partner or should he contact Crosshair so he can be with him until the Medics come but didn’t know if he could make it to the Medical Bay to deliver his baby in time.
As Tech was trying to figure out what to do, he got a feeling that he should contact Crosshair. Tech reached for his Comlink and waited for Crosshair to answer. Tech felt like it was taking SO LONG for Crosshair to answer. He felt like he was waiting for hours but was really just 3 seconds when Crosshair was able to answer.
“Hey Tech! How are you…. CAN’T YOU GUYS FIGURE OUT HOW TO SHOT AT A….” Crosshair forgot that he was talking to Tech as he yelled at the Cadets for a mistake that they made.
“Crosshair” Tech said in a weak voice. “I need….augh help. AWWW!”
Crosshair had a worried look on his face that he dropped everything he was doing and runned out the door to go check on Tech. Once Crosshair opened the door to their quarters, he saw Tech sitting on the floor with his back against the sleeper aka the bed that’s in the wall.
“TECH!” Crosshair runs over to Tech and kneels down beside him.
“I’m guessing….that…that practice….didn’t go….well.” Tech said as breathing through every contraction that was coming and going.
“I’m so so so sorry. I didn’t mean to say that to you. I forgot that…..” Crosshair didn’t get to finish as Tech yelled a painful scream. “TECH! What’s happening?!?!?” Crosshair saw that Tech was trying to pull his pants down. “Are….Are you going into…into….labor?”
“YES! PLEASE augh HeLp ME augh!” Tech said as the contractions started to get more intense.
“OK. Umm….Don’t move! Kriff! I’m going to get some towels. Don’t push!” Crosshair told Tech in a slightly panicked voice as he ran to the fresher to grab towels.
“PLEASE HURRY! Augh.” Tech said as he did his breathing exercises.
“Tech! Can you move?” Crosshair said as he came back from the fresher with towels in his arms.
Tech shook his head as he told Crosshair that he needed him to help deliver the baby because the baby was starting to crown. Crosshair’s mind went blank. He didn’t know how to deliver a baby. Crosshair snapped out of thoughts when he heard Tech scream. Tech told Crosshair to get the Holopad and to look up how to deliver a baby. Crosshair was a little scared of doing it but he knew he had to do it. He didn’t want to see Tech in pain.
As Crosshair read the information on the Holopad on what to do. He took off Tech’s pants and put a towel between Tech’s legs. He also called the Medics on his Comlink to inform them to come to their quarter’s to help with Tech and the baby.
Tech told Crosshair that he needed him to be between his legs to catch the baby. Crosshair did as he was told to and knelt down between Tech’s legs. He helped guide Tech while Tech pushed through the contractions. After what seemed like forever, their baby finally made its grand entrance into the new world and onto Tech’s chest with a towel wrapped around the infant. Tech cried with joy as their baby BOY was now here. Crosshair kissed Tech on the lips as the Medics rushed in to help Tech deliver the placenta after the Medics helped Crosshair cut the umbilicord.
Once Tech and the baby were all cleaned up, they put Tech on the Holo-Stretcher with a blanket covering him up with the baby laying on his chest as they took him to the Medical Bay to recover but not until Crosshair gave Tech a kiss on the lips. The Medics told Crosshair that they will let him know when he can see his Boyfriend and the baby.
As Tech was recovering in the Medical Bay, he finally got to see his handsome Boyfriend Crosshair. Tech smiled and asked Crosshair to come sit in the chair that was by his bed. Crosshair smiled and shook his head. Tech was confused on why Crosshair didn’t want to sit in the chair until he saw Crosshair get on one knee and pull something out from his Utility Belt. Tech covered his mouth with his hand.
“Tech. I know this might be too soon but….I want to be with you forever. I want to help raise OUR baby boy. I want us to be a real family. If you are OK with it, Would you…” Crosshair couldn’t finish what he wanted to say because Tech finished for him.
“YES! I will marry you!” Tech said as he cried tears of joy.
Crosshair smiled at Tech as he also had tears of joy. Crosshair got off the floor and placed the ring on Tech’s finger. They were going to kiss but were interrupted by two of the Medics. The first Medic brought their baby boy who was wrapped in a blue blanket into the room and the second Medic helped Tech get comfortable so he can feed his baby. Crosshair was about to walk away so Tech could feed in private but Tech grabbed his hand.
“Crosshair. Why are you leaving?” Tech asked in a panic voice.
“I just thought that you should have some privacy when you are feeding our baby.” Crosshair said as looks at Tech. Tech just smiled at Crosshair as the Medic put the baby in Tech’s arms while the other Medic handed Crosshair a Infant Formula Bottle. He was confused on why the Medic handed him a baby bottle and not Tech. He didn’t know that the Medics left the room after he held the bottle. “Ummm….Tech. Why am I holding a baby bottle?” Crosshair looked confused.
“I’m…I’m….I’m sorry Cross.” Tech starts to cry.
“Shh…Why are you crying?” Crosshair said as he helped calm down his now fiancé.
“I’m a horrible Dad!” Tech cries.
“What do you mean? You only have been a Dad for 3 days. Why do you think you're a horrible Dad?” Crosshair asked with a puzzled look on his face.
“Because I can’t feed OUR child. I don’t have breasts so I can’t make milk for our baby.” Tech said as he cried.
“Shh…Hey. It’s alright.” Crosshair told Tech.
“No! It’s not alright!” Tech almost yelled but instead he started to cry in a “ I…I…I don’t want…I don’t want you to…to leave us” Tech said as he cried. Crosshair was shocked to hear what Tech just said.
“Why do you think I would leave you? You guys are my family. A family that I helped make.” Crosshair told Tech.
“I didn’t know if you…if you would leave me because…because I….” Tech said while trying to stop him from crying more.
“Because you can’t breastfeed?” Crosshair asked. Tech nodded. “Oh Tech. Even if you can’t breastfeed, I don’t care. You are perfect just the way you are and I love you.” Crosshair said as he took Tech’s goggles off to wipe his tears away then Tech a kiss on the lips.
They were going to kiss a little more but their son had other plans. Their son cried out loud. Both Tech and Crosshair both smile down at their baby boy. Crosshair handed Tech the baby bottle as Tech fed their baby.
“Have you thought of any names for our baby?” Crosshair asked.
“I have 2 ideas but I don’t know if you would like them.” Tech said as he looked up at Crosshair with a smirk.
“Oh. And what is the name you have in mind?” Crosshair chuckled.
“I’m thinking of Henry Crosshair Fett or Henry Tech Fett. What do you think?” Tech asked Crosshair.
“I think Henry Fett would be just fine.” Crosshair said as he smiled at Tech which made Tech smile as he nodded his head.
“That’s a wonderful name dear. I love you.” Tech said as he gave Crosshair a kiss then Tech handed Henry over to Crosshair to burp him.
“I love you too dear and I love you too. Henry Fett. Boy! Are your Uncles and Aunt going to spoil you rotten.” Crosshair just laughed after he finished burping their baby boy Henry.
Tech and Crosshair were really glad that the rest of their squad wasn’t back yet. Both of them need some time for themselves to rest and to bond more with their baby boy.
