Work Text:
Logan was sweet as sugar to Patton.
The way he ever so slightly adjusted his glasses, the pride on his face whenever he won an argument, each of those rare moments when Logan smiled all lit up Patton inside like a Christmas tree.
Those were the times he tried to hold closest to him when things got hard for him, the imaginary polaroids of Logan cluttered his mind. He scrapbooked those precious memories and framed them with various Sharpie hearts on the paper.
Being the emotional side, his feelings were thrice magnified than an average side. He didn’t just want to share a milkshake with Logan or cuddle with him in cat-themed blankets, he wanted to be consumed by his spirit. He wanted each line of vision to be doused in royal blue.
He tried to keep it together when helping Thomas, but he’d catch himself gazing at Logan for a few seconds too long or agreeing to what he said without really knowing what he was saying.
“-and that’s why you have to go to this audition!” Roman argued.
“Patton, what do you think about all this?” Thomas asked, causing the sweater-clad man to jump.
“Sorry, I must have zoned out a bit,” He said, laughing awkwardly, stretching an unnatural smile across his face. “I think you should do whatever you think is right?” Patton said, looking over at Logan for confirmation.
“Patton’s right,” Those words sent a sugar rush to Patton’s heart. “You need to consider what is more important, putting out the video at the scheduled time, or going to an audition with a role you’re not even sure you want.”
Patton’s smile turned genuine as he listened to Logan give a steady stream of statistics, his firm, unwavering tone relaxed him. If he could, Patton would listen to him for hours on end.
All too soon he found that the issue had been resolved and his compatriots were sinking down. Patton quickly sunk to the floor to not be seen as unattentive.
Out of the blissful peace of laying on his stomach wrapped in blankets and doodling in his journal, thinking of Logan.
He knew it was fantasy. He knew that he’d never hold his hands in his own, but Patton had a sweet tooth for Logan. And he was setting himself up for a cavity.
