Chapter Text
The alley is dark and rather creepy, but Mori enters it normally. Leaders of the Port Mafia don’t just… get attacked, no, they get other people to attack.
Unfortunately for him, his assumption that he is not going to be assaulted is in fact, wrong.
A bullet slams into his left side, just between his second and third ribs. Blood rushing out of his side, Mori stumbles towards the wall. His white coat is quickly turning red.
A sudden flash of light illuminates the alley, and bounces off a long, steel weapon. A female laugh resounds around the alley.
”Fuck… Yosano-kun? Is that you? Come out of the dark there, be a good girl.”
”Your voice is as slimy as it’s always been, Mori.”
Yosano walks out of the dark, tapping her signature machete against her gloved hand.
”Luckily,” she growled, “I get first go.”
The machete’s blunt side whips against Mori’s face, and he smiles.
”Yosano-kun. What love you show for your old master.”
A strike against his right forearm, and the silver of the machete comes away crimson.
”Not even a hello for the man you worked with?”
Another slash, this time against his thigh, more crimson.
”Fuck. You,” Yosano yells against the whir of the wind and the world spinning round and round and round.
”Fuck you for taking control of me when I couldn’t take care of myself.”
Silver and red.
“Fuck you for looking at me like I was another thing for you to take as a war prize.”
Red and silver.
”Fuck you for making me think I was nothing other than what you told me.”
Mori tries to speak and chokes on blood. Yosano is gritting her teeth, tears streaming down her face, mingling with blood. It’s a beautiful sight. She screams, and it’s a scream filled with pain and regret and years of lost life. The machete comes down into Mori’s stomach. Blood spurts up. His intestinal tract can be seen from the outside and as a doctor, Mori knows that’s a bad sign.
Yosano curls up into a fetal position on the ground, leaving Mori slumped against the wall, wondering, first?
In the shadows of the alley, a dark figure stands.
