As you walked down the crowded streets of New York, you couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement bubbling up within you. It was your weekly trip to the comic-book store, a tradition you and your farther had started when you were only a young child. As you entered the store, you began browsing through the rows of colourful comics, searching for a new addition to your ever-growing collection.
That's when you saw it. An old-looking book, with an odd combination of symbols on the cover. It stood out among the other comics, calling out to you with an irresistible allure. Without a second thought, you picked it up and opened the cover.
Suddenly, a strange force surrounded your person, causing you to stumble backward. You could feel the ground slipping away from beneath your feet as you fell into a seemingly endless void. Time seemed to have lost all meaning as you tumbled through the void, feeling as if you were being pulled apart at the seams.
And then, just as suddenly as it began, the force dissipated, and you found yourself waking up on the steps of what looked to be 177A Bleecker Street. Obviously you had heard of this place before, being the avid MCU fan you were, but never in your wildest dreams did you ever imagine that you would find yourself standing here.
As you looked up, you saw a figure standing in the doorway, watching you with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. You recognised him immediately as the infamous Doctor Stephen Strange, a character you had only read about in comics. What had grabbing that book gotten yourself into?
