Chapter Text
Bitch.
He once used that word to refer to me to my face. It's probably the word he uses to describe me to his friends. It's probably the reason why he's not with his one true love. It was a pleasure being a bitch until it became torture.
This is the story of us.

Chapter 1: The Last of Us
Sakura's POV
It's the last scene. The last shot and the most important part of the story. Fans love it, too. The kissing scene. We were about to shoot the last scene and I know he was tired. Oh, I was tired, too.
We were in front of each other, the assistant director telling us what to do. The make up artists retouching our make-up.
I smirked at him. He didn't give any reaction.
I swallowed hard hoping no one noticed. It used to be easy pissing him off. Just showing my face, reminding him of the roadblock to the love of his life. He isn't with her because of me.
Because of this tandem.
I'm Haruno Sakura. One half of SasuSaku. It started two years ago, out of the blue. It just took one commercial, then a tv show, then a movie. A year later, we were the next big thing.
After six months on the first year, he was linked to Shizuoka Ami, the reality show TV star. Everyone loved her. She's a host now on a noontime show. Ratings went up when she came in.
Our fans didn't take it well. They bashed Ami leaving Ami's fans bashing back. It was war.
"Sasuke likes Ami not that Sakura!"
"Sasuke and Ami are the real thing. Deal with it."
"Sasuke will never like someone like Sakura. I heard she's a bitch."
The media went crazy.
Some fans just couldn't take it. They probably felt they were being deceived
SasuSaku fans felt sorry for me but honestly, they should have been sorry for him — for being stuck with someone like me.
What are we afterall?
It was calm at first. Everything was under control. I thought it was just a phase. Fans will eventually get over it. But they didn't.
Sasuke never said a word but I knew he was courting Ami. Those smiles he flash during breaks, I've seen it all. Sasuke does not give me that kind of smile. They were spotted in restaurants around the metro — but they were not alone. They were always with friends.
They were always a blind item, always asked, and always evaded.
A Monday morning changed all that.
We were at a conference room of our agency, along with our team. Our manager walked in and dumped papers on the table.
TV show ratings are down by 10%.
It was a bad sign.
In my head, I wanted to blame the writer, the stupid plot she writes... but I know that the problem was us. Inside that room, the problem was Sasuke. The problem was Ami.
"What are we going to do?" I asked. Someone has to. In his head, I already knew what was going on.
"Sasuke, you're going to do an interview and end rumors with Ami. Tell people that you are nothing but friends. Then, stop seeing her on restaurants, stop anything that has any relation in social media. The sponsors of the show do not like it and too much has been lost."
Our handler said.
I risked a glimpse at him. He was looking down at his hands as if going to explode any minute now.
"She's my girlfriend." He said. I don't know why but it surprised me. I snapped my head up and looked at him.
It's real. They are real.
"What?" the handler has put into words what I cannot.
"We've been together for a couple of months now." he said. Oh the secret keeper.
And then everything went downhill from there. He talked to Ami telling her of what happened. They went on for another 2 months of hiding.
I thought she was strong but she wasn't. She couldn't take it anymore. They had to end it.
No one knew. Nothing on social media. No trace of anything. Their break-up was calm.
Even if it weren't.
Because I felt the ripple.
We were sweeter onstage but more bitter off-stage.
He would automatically drop my hand after a song performance. He answers interview questions with either a yes or a no. We were never spotted together offcam. We were never on the same flight on out-of-town tours. He took earlier or later than my flight.
It wasn't long until the fans noticed. Rumors circulated that we really weren't in good terms. It wasn't getting any better. I knew I had to do something.
"3... 2... 1... ACTION!" it was the voice of the director that sent me back to reality. That was my cue.
"Take me out of here." I reached out my hand, entwining my fingers with his hair — soft as always.
He ran his hand on my bare shoulder for I was wearing a spaghetti strapped top. I did my best not to show the shiver as his skin came in contact with mine.
His hand slid to the base of my neck, tracing the range of my neck until it reached my cheek. Our eyes never leaving each other.
Taylor Swift's song echoed in my head as if expanding the moment in time.
𝓐𝓷𝓭 𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓫𝓮𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓮𝔂𝓮𝓼, 𝓘'𝓶 𝓫𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰
He touched his forehead to mine as he closed his eyes. As if relying completely on my emotions, I closed my eyes, too.
𝓝𝓸 𝓹𝓪𝓼𝓽, 𝓝𝓸 𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓼 𝔀𝓱𝔂, 𝓙𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓶𝓮...
What would be a nice parting gift? I thought to myself.
𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓲𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮 𝓘'𝓶 𝓪𝓼𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼...
I can feel his breathing, the air fanning my face. I knew his eyes were now open. I opened mine, too.
"I'll do whatever it is you want. Use me however you want to. I'll be your willing slave."
He said the line perfectly, looking deeply into my eyes, completely in character. He closed his eyes as he leaned in. I felt his lips graze mine then completely pressed mine, moving so slowly.
I snaked my other arm around his neck, meeting the other one to push myself to him.
I slipped my a part of my tongue to his mouth, letting it taste his lower lip. I felt him stiffen but he didn't interrupt the scene. He didn't open his eyes to throw a curse at me. But he didn't return the favor either. I bet he wishes the scene to be over.
Oh, he is a way better actor now than before.
"CUT!" the director said.
Sasuke instantly pulled himself away. He slightly pushed my shoulder and I stumbled a little, probably still dazed with my craziness.
"What was that?" He said as he wiped his lips with the back of his hand
"What?" I asked being perfectly nonchalant.
"Your tongue." he said in disbelief.
"Didn't you enjoy it?" I said smiling. His face turned sour as if disgusted with what I have done.
"You're being a bitch." He said to me and then turned around right away as if giving up on it.
It hurt. I hope no one noticed it etched to face.

He was out of there as soon as he can. It took me a few minutes to fix myself up, go to my van along with my manager & personal assistant.
"Shizune-san." I uttered as I slumped on my seat comfortable.
"Yes?" She asked from the passenger seat.
"How much more time till our contract expires?" her brows met with confusion.
"Three more months till you sign a new one." she said smiling. "Why did you ask?"
"Nothing much." I said as I channel my attention to the tinted window. Thoughts start to fill my head.
