Work Text:

"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Alex said, muttering into George's ear.

"Don't act like I'm fragile. I'm not one of your crazy ex-girlfriends, If I didn't want this I wouldn't be here." He replied, reaching up and pulling Alex back into a kiss.

The supply closet was crowded and uncomfortable, but George didn't care. He needed a distraction after losing his second patient of the week, Bailey was on his ass about being on top of his game, and the stress of an upcoming solo surgery was all getting to be too much.

George felt Alex's hands move down to his hips, pulling him in even closer than before. They were practically attached to each other. He wished he could stay in the moment forever, where he felt safe and wouldn't have to deal with the stress of the world outside. George sighed as Alex pulled back again, clearly hesitant.

"It's just so sudden." He muttered, looking at George like he couldn't understand why he would ever be in this situation, especially with the one guy who visibly seemed to dislike him. "I didn’t even know you were into me until like five minutes ago."

"Yeah well, I'm not. Not normally anyway." George replied, leaning forward and quickly pushed back into the wall. "What?"

"So there's no feelings here? Because I'm not getting into another shitty relationship right now."

"No feelings. Just..uh, think of it as damage control."

Alex grinned. "What exactly are we controlling?"

"Me." George replied, promptly realizing his misstep. "Fuck, that sounds gross. I just meant–"

"Don't even tell me, I don't need to know whatever you're dealing with to have a good time." Alex interjected, leaning in to plant a kiss on George's cheek. "I'm good to be a distraction."
