Chapter 1: Locker Scene?

Chapter Text

I came to my senses in what appeared to be a standard issue alt-power locker scene. I quickly peered ahead in the chapter to check for general quality, but unfortunately there was nary a mote of good writing to be found.

Quickly deciding I needed to get out of this filthy metal box, I used my power to simply leave the scene. I deftly maneuvered my way around a chapter filled with pointless high school drama that simultaneously takes far too long to progress and has no actual bearing on the story. Bounding forwards in the story I skipped my way past a few other meaningless scenes including a trip to the hospital(presumably just to force an interaction with Panacea), a Lisa cameo, and three full chapters of power testing establishing my limitations that will later be ignored.

Suddenly I saw something out of place and decided I needed to step in and handle things. I landed directly in the middle of Lung and an arbitrary number of faceless ABB goons preparing to go and kill what can only be assumed to be literal children. I quickly deleted the next two lines where I was immediately shot and killed for doing something so suicidal, leaving them instead stunned by my arrival.

"You're breaking continuity here. This scene isn't supposed to happen until three months after I trigger. It's only been two weeks since the obligatory locker scene, you shouldn't even have a reason to go after the Undersiders yet. You had better have a damn good explanation for why you're doing this scene early." My voice rose in anger with each sentence, but perhaps it wasn't fair to take it out on Lung just yet. After all, it was likely the author's fault for putting him here so far ahead of schedule. The hack probably hadn't even read Worm.

Somewhere in the middle of my rant Lung had sat down in an oversized recliner that had inexplicably appeared in the middle of the street. The unpowered gangsters were scattered around, unconscious and clearly taken down off screen. Overall the scene was progressing faster than I had planned, but there was still one major landmine I had to make sure and avoid. I readied myself to draw on my power at a moments notice, this tiny interaction could potentially save not just millions of lives but also the story itself.

Lung leaned forward in his massive chair, an evil glint in his eye. For all his brute strength he wasn't stupid, he knew there was only one way he could win this encounter and he was about to use it. Finally he spoke, his voice a deep snarl "I am a dragon, and I will ignore the narrative structure of the story when I please. Don't you know I fought [REDACTED] at Kyushu?"

I quickly cut into his sentence and removed all mention of the second Endbringer from the story and saving countless lives in the process. Lung falls over unconscious from the narrative backlash of being edited mid sentence. I pat myself on the back for a job well done and turn to leave the chapter when I see another deadly obstacle to the longevity of this work of fan fiction, The Undersiders.

I end the chapter before I can be assaulted by any Alexandria themed lunch boxes or vulpine grins.

Notes:

My apologies for this crime against fiction. Keep flying under God's radar my dudes.
