Life in the Burial Mounds Settlement is hard but peaceful. The land needs clearing, houses and temporary tents need erecting and soil needs tilling. Making the Burial Mounds into a livable home was hard and time consuming but Wen ning doesn't mind it. Now that he is a fierce corpse he can lift a lot more than anymore human or cultivator could otherwise. This makes him feel useful. Being useful is quite important to Wen ning.
One of Wen nings very important tasks are checking the protection wards and the surrounding areas for intruders and walking corpses. He can dispose of them in a quick and quite manner that doesn't disturb any of the Living Burial Mound residents. Every evening Wen ning makes sure Wei Wuxian eats something and takes a walk to clear his head and get the thoughts rolling more productively again. Wen ning knows full well that if Wei Wuxian stays cooped up for too long he can become cranky like toddler that hasn't taken a nap in a long time.
One of Wen nings favourite tasks is taking care of A-Yuan. A-Yuan is but small child that should be of playing with his peers but has to settle playing with Wen ning or granny or if he was lucky with Wei Wuxian. A-Yuan is faring well all things considered and Wen ning is proud of A-Yuans bravery. Wen nings wish is that A-Yuan grows up to be well mannered and sophisticated young cultivator someday. The Life in Burial Mounds is peaceful. Wen ning likes it.
