As soon as Jean Pierre saw Muhammad in the kitchen, back turned as he washed the dishes, he took the opportunity. He wound his arms around Muhammad’s waist a second later.
“Well hello there,” Muhammad said with a low chuckle. “I should’ve known I can’t do anything without you doing this.”
Jean Pierre tightened his grip. “Are you complaining?”
Muhammad hummed. “No.” He slid his hand over Jean Pierre’s where it was splayed on his stomach. “You really can’t keep your hands off me, can you?”
Jean Pierre rested his head on his shoulder. That was true, of course, but it wasn’t the whole story. There was another reason he found every excuse he could to get Muhammad in his arms.
“Well?”
Instead of answering, Jean Pierre lightly tapped his fingertips against Muhammad’s stomach until—
There it was. That beautiful, soft smile that made the corners of Muhammad’s eyes crinkle so perfectly. And from here, Jean Pierre got to see it all up close. Smiling right back, he finally answered, “Yes. Something like that.”
