Lincoln was in the backseat of his dad’s minivan, heading to Taylors. Earlier in the week he had found a note in his locker saying,
“Hello if you are reading this then YOU MY FRIEND are cool enough to join my SUPER-SECRET-COOL-AWESOME ANIME PARTY!!!”
The back saying it was at Taylor's house, also the time and date of the party. Marco and Grant were happy, because they had a dance class together tonight and they didn't like leaving their baby boy home alone. As they pulled up to Taylor's house Link unbuckled and leaned forward to give his dad a hug from the backseat.
“Love you, dad,” He said before moving across the car to hug his other dad “Love you papa”
“Wait till the car is fully stopped before getting unbuckled, I love you too.” Grant commented, kissing his son on the cheek.
“We’ll pick you up at nine, unless you want to leave early just text us. Papa loves you so much” Marco exclaimed, also kissing Link on the cheek.
“Be safe, you can call or text us for anything at all sweety.” Grant continued.
“Don’t forget our talks about peer pressure, no drinking or drugs,” Marco rambled.
“But if you do don’t be scared to call us for help, an-”
“I know dad I’ll be fine, I promise.” Link cut his dads off, or else this would go on all night. Jumping out of the car before they could continue telling him about safety. He started jogging up to Taylor's house, turning back to wave at his dads before knocking on the door. Link's hand was about to start knocking, but the door suddenly opened before his hand could make contact.
“Lincoln, please enter.” Taylor said, stepping aside and bowing a bit. The first time Link noticed was that Taylor was wearing the robot suit he had worn to the dance. After a second of confusion Link entered the house.
“Sorry I didn't know this was supposed to be a costume party, I could go home and change.” Link started, while looking down at his FIFA tee-shirt and soccer shorts. Taylor grabbed his hand and began dragging him through his house.
“What do you mean? I’m not wearing a costume.” Taylor questioned, before sitting down at the kitchen table. “Shall we wait for the pizza to show up before we start the anime watching?”
“Oh yeah, I didn't know we were eating, that’ll be great.”
“Great! We’re watching My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic X Batman Villains AU The Musical The Remake The Anime!”
“Where is everyone else?” Link questioned as he realized there was no one else here, or any other cars outside.
“Did you not read the note? I only invited the COOLEST people, so it’s just us.” Taylor said while throwing his arm around Link, who had sat in the chair next to him. Before Link could ask why Scary and Normal weren't here at least the doorbell rang. Taylor got up from his set and grabbed his cane as he started for the door. Link helped him carry the many pizzas and sodas to the kitchen table.
“If it’s just us, why did you get fourteen pizzas?” Link questioned looking at the leaning tower of pizza in front of him.
“Oh don't worry there's still six more coming, I didn't know what kind of pizza you like so I got every one they had.” Taylor said, as if that was a normal thing to do, before beginning to dig through the pizza pile.
“You could have just texted me?”
“My phone died and I’m still waiting for the new one.”
“Didn't you get a new phone last week?” Link asked as he started to pick the topping off of whatever type of pizza he had picked up.
“I have to open a new one each day, sometimes twice a day. They always die so fast.” The insanely rich teen answers. Link desperately wanted to let him know that you could charge a phone. Sadly before he could Taylor took the two pizza boxes they were eating out of in one hand and his cane in the other and began walking though his mansion. “Time to start watching My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic X Batman Villains AU The Musical The Remake The Anime!”
Link had been to Taylors house plenty of times before, but he hasn't ever seen the full house. Usually he would be in Taylors room, the game room, living room #1 though #4, or in Taylors cosplay closet (which was just a bedroom he had turned into a giant walk-in closet) but Taylor was dragging him to the other side of his house today. “Aren't we gonna watch it in your room?”
“Of course not Lincoln, the My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic X Batman Villains AU The Musical The Remake The Anime is a cinematic MASTERPIECE! We have to watch it in the theater to to it justice”
“We’re going to the theater?” Link asked, cocking his head to the side like a confused puppy. Taylor took a second to aprsait how cute Link looked while confused before responding.
“Yeah, to my theater.” Link decided to give up on askeding anymore questions and accept that his friend was filthy rich. After walking for at least three full minutes, enough time to walk through Link’s entire house, Taylor stopped to press a button for an elevator. The shock of the elevator was nothing compared to the shock of what the inside looked like. The walls, floor, and ceiling of the elevator where are nuclear blue and covered in pictures of Hatsune Miku. After the two of them stepped in Taylor pressed the button for floor -4, the lowest floor.
“That’s where I left my Gucci wig!” Taylor exclaimed before handing Link the pizzas so he could pick up the red hairy mass off of the hand rail and toss it on his head. Link reached over with his free hand to fix the wig, pushing a piece of the fake hair behind Taylors ear and leaving his hand there for maybe a bit too long. Suddenly the elevator spoke in Taylors voice “Heh you’ve reached your floor!”
“Thank you elevator!” Taylor said while exiting the elevator and tossing the $9,000 wig behind him.
“You’re welcome, senpai Taylor!” The elevator yelled back.
As Link entered the room he saw that this was an actual full sized theater room. With 250 seats to choose from.
“Take a seat, I’m gonna turn the projector on” Taylor called back to Link, already halfway to the back of the room. Link walked around to find a good row to sit in, not too far or close from the screen. The seats were black leather, the fancy one with the button to lean the seat back. He was always very particular about what seats he got at theaters, so having the full range of seats to choose from was almost enough to make the tall boy start yelling with joy. He finally found a good row that was optimal distance from the screen, and picked the two middle seats from them to seat in.
He sat back as the lights dimmed and the screen began to light up. He heard Taylor making over dramatic anime noises as he ran down the rows to Link.
“I think you’re really gonna like this anime!” He yelled, dropping the 7 blankets he was holding on the food and taking one from the pile to use himself.
“Hey, thanks for inviting me Tay” Link started “But why is it just me? You could fit half the school in here, or at least Normal and Scary.”
“Heh, I think you will figure that out soon enough Link,” He replied, with a sly smile caressing his face.
Before Link could keep asking questions the sound of an anime intro started, so he decided to drop it for now. Instead choosing to grab one of the blankets Taylor brough and cuddling up with it.
The anime started with a boy playing soccer on a field alone,before an octopus kidnapped him. The next scene had two men crying to the police in the background, and some other teen talking to the police taking up most of the screen.
Link wished he knew any japanese, or that Taylor would put on subtitles at least so he could understand what was happening. Taylor could barely sit still the whole time, practically vibrating in place and looking back and forth from the screen to Link and back almost every second. Link mainly ignored it, he always was pretty jittery. Besides, he was probably excited to show his friend an anime, who else would watch anime with him while his dad was healing from being killed for the 69th time.
“This doesn't look like the My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic X Batman Villains AU The Musical The Remake The Anime,” Link began to question, considering the lack of ponies, batman villains, and songs.
“I changed it to something a bit better dear Link, don’t worry” Taylor grinned in an oddly cute devilish way.
The next few segments of the movie was the second teen having a training montage, before talking and beating up a bunch of people.
Link, once again, wishes Taylor believed in subtitles. Speaking of Taylor, Link had looked over and noticed that he had pushed up the arm rest separating them.
A giant explosion had taken his attention away from the arm rest and back to the screen. The teen had used ninja rock, Link thinks, to break open a wall of a secret prison and had begun killing guards.
Around this time Taylor began leaning on Link, shocking Link at first but he let him lay there. After waiting for a few seconds to test the waters, Taylor reached behind him and grabbed Link's arm and pulled it over himself. One thing about Link, is that he's very autistic and doesn't really do the whole ‘social cues’ thing, so at this point he still fully believes that Taylor just wanted to watch anime.
The teen in the anime keeped fighting his way though the giant prison till he got to the room with the evil octopus that kidnapped the teen in the beginning, then an epic battle began. The octopus and the teen were throwing fireballs, shooting guns that shoot out swords, fighting with secret sword canes, and energy beams.
Suddenly the evil octopus cut off one of its tentacles and threw it at the teen, causing him to go backwards through eight walls and trapping him in place. Just then, when it looked like the octopus was about to kill him, the teen from the beginning showed up right behind him, said something really cool Link couldn't understand, kicking the octopus like a soccer ball so hard it exploded like an old watermelon being dropped from a ten story building. After the two of them were now covered in the blood of the evil octopus the teen from the beginning walked over to the other teen and helped him up.
Taylor grabbed Link's face with both of his hands, pulling his eyes away from the screen. Link had only begun to think about if Taylor's eyes had always been this big and soft, before being cut off with both the teen in the movie and Taylor speaking in unison, as if it had been practiced for months.
“Lincoln , , 私はあなたに会って以来、毎日あなたのことを考えてきました。私の心はあなたとあなただけでできています。私はあなたのそばで毎日を過ごし、あなたの手を握り、あなたの唇にキスをし、あなたを再び誘拐しようとするすべての邪悪なタコからあなたを守りたい.私の人生で最も愛する人、このキスを分かち合えますか?”
“I don’t know japanese,” Link said, but pronounced the words more like a question in response to Taylor's seemingly speech. Taylor let out one of his signatures ‘heh’s before looking back at the screen for a moment, Link apon also looking at the screen again saw that they were kissing. He sat there working out everything that had happened tonight trying to piece it all together like a puzzle. Taylor watched as his brows furrowed, in the same way Marcos did when he did his daily morning sudoku. He look behind Taylors head for a moment to see the end credits rolling, and all of they names read
“Taylor Swift-Foster-Close-Freeman-Streep”
Link felt a light bulb go off in his head as he looked into Taylors big wet black eyes. This wasn't an anime party, this was a DATE! That Taylor planned, and made a FULL MOVIE for, the teens in the movie where HIM and TAYLOR, the teens that just KISSED!
Link almost forgot to do anything with the amount of shock he was in, but watching as Taylors face slowly began to fall and the excitement in his eyes slowly burnt out, Link couldn't stand it anymore. He leaned into Taylors hands that had been holding his face, and kissed him just like the teens in the anime movie. Link felt his eyes flash before his eyes. He was scared that what he felt for Taylor was just because he was his first real friend, that was actually his age at least, but as soon as their lips connected he knew it was more than just friendship.
