A house sets along the ocean, it's bedroom doors facing the waves as see through curtains flow through painted sunset hues. Penny stood looking out between. Heart placed to her chest in a hopeful glare.
Theres a peace in her mind unlike rubys ever seen before
Approaching from behind the red haired girl places a hand on penny's shoulder "Oh hey, how are you?"
But this does nothing to disturb her however, Penny keeps looking out over the sea solemnly, if anything it's a mild comfort - one she decides to return with her own hand resting atop rubies "just thinking about how far we've come"
Silver eyes softened looking up at the side of her wife's face, twinkling like the sparks in the ocean "yeah..."
Dolphins coo in the distance
"You know I think we're alot like the ocean"
Penny continued
"On the surface were as calming and as graceful as a gentle wave, just sparks of light in the middle of a million drops. We infect others and yet we also let others infect us...."
She turns to ruby
"Because there's a deeper part to every ocean, one's they do not tell you about. That when you peel away its glistening surface there's a darkness underneath. A depth that no one's seen before or even dares to traverse down into.
But you did ruby"
She takes rubys hands into hers, squeezing slightly
"You saw behind all my mechanics, my nuts, my bolts, my outer and even slightly inner workings and you saw me - me for who I truly am. You weren't scared away by my hidden depths like everyone else in fact....you brought more life to them. Like those creatures in the sea. Like we do others" penny placed a hand to rubys heart to emphasize
Rubys lips quivered " and y-you saw me penny- for everything that I am, everything that I'm worth. You showed me I am worth more than even I thought. Each new darker part of my ocean you swam through - you've spread a light into.
I'm no longer afraid to look back on those memories - like the ones from the everafter because I always know no matter what form we take you'll always be swimming next to me guiding my way.
Your my special rose penny, one I never wanna lose"
She reached up and tucked a stray bit of hair behind penny's ear " one I swear I was born to keep"
Penny choked up "are-are you proposing to me again?"
"Well I could be if you like" Ruby guided penny out onto the sand, barefoot, past the flowing tapestries of their bedroom doors "come, let's dance with the waves and renew our vows with each new beat"
Penny fell into ruby almost immediately from the overwhelming wave of emotion she could just feel. In every vowel, in every sentence that fell out of the red haired girls chest. It hit her just like the winds through sunset orange hair from the west.
Strong hands caught her by the forearms and laughed "woah woah woah are you okay"
Quickly regaining her footing penny steadied herself on rubys forearms, sand rippling through her gown as she immediately removed them to feel rubys face "yes you just mean so much to me"
Bringing her close she kissed her deeply, voraciously, each lap of the tongue like the wet tousle of the ocean - finally the two parted for air staring into darkened eyes "your eyes are like the bottoms of the ocean, the surface decorated in stars and only for me to see"
Ruby dipped her "all the better to love you with"
Penny continued with her musings...
"Your hair like the rustling of branches on the wind"
Ruby twirled her
"All the better to snuggle you with"
Penny giggled as ruby dipped her head down to do so
"Your arms look as if their chiseled from the gods themselves"
Ruby paused in her twirl catching penny smoothly by the waist, chuckling "now that's just unfair - you know all about the blacksmith and her chiseling abilities"
Penny reached up to look into her lovers eyes, lightly cupping her face " yes and I thank her each and everyday for carving such a work of art for thine eyes, and thine eyes only"
"Hm-hm yes, well if I was made from wood a lady such as yourself was made from seashells and spice and everything nice" Ruby kissed the palm of penny's hand
"Flatterer"
The red haired woman spun penny fast and dipped once more, faces mere inches apart. Ruby could feel penny's hand pressed delicately against her chest as hot breath wafted across an anticipating face. Eyes empathetic and determined whereas penny's were empathetic and wanting, needing, believing in ruby
Always. Always, believing in ruby.
"I've wanted you bad, I always did - since the moment I met you. As much as the ocean needs the sun to keep it warm from the cold, you kept me company even in my loneliest hour and brought out sides of me I never knew I could handle, like socializing in groups or daring my heart to feel in any type of way for others after my mom passed, I never knew I could love in this way until I met you"
Penny stroked rubys hair and she hesitated
"Oh ruby....just kiss me already" She brought her in again for another kiss, this time mellow amd slow, strong against rubys jaw, she felt as if she was encompassing all of her partners attributes. Her quick wittedness, her experties , the smoothness of that jawline as she trailed her fingers through it. Her endorsing looks. God she could explore them for ages - and she did. Exploring every last part, every nook and cranny of those pearly white teeth, canines grazing against penny's tongue. She wondered if she could do the same to every inch of her. Once again- and this time by the sea where the waves could take them both. She felt so ticklish yet sweet and the way ruby tasted?...like sunsets on a beach and blueberry sweets. Penny smiled against the kiss "you've been eating those blueberry pancakes I've made again haven't you wildflower?"
Ruby brought penny slowly back up to her feet from the dip, pressing taught against her waist, foreheads flushed against each others, she let out a breathy laugh "you bet I have~"
"Hehehe~" a giggling penny made ruby feel like a happy dopey puppy
