Black White and Shades of Gray

Summary:

When Class 2A is told that they would be traveling to the city of Yokohama, they were not expecting the ride that was to come, entailing dangerous missions, meeting favorite characters, and learning that the world isn't as black and white as they once thought.

Or Class 2A goes to Yokohama, gets thoroughly traumatized, and Soukoku kicks ass, like always.

Notes:

I've always thought that quirks and abilities were similar, and am very much addicted to reading fics about crossovers between the Bungo Stray dogs and My hero Academia universes. And thus was born, the self indulgent fic with Soukoku and Mha!

Chapter 1: Field Trip

Chapter Text

It was a well known fact that Yokohama was a city with complete secrecy from the outside world. Nobody but the residents knew of anything going on inside that place and frankly, nobody else wanted too.

So it was very easy to assume that Aizawa's natural reaction to being informed that his kids would be taking a field trip to the one, the only Yokohama, was not the greatest.

"Honey, it's been two hours."

"I DON'T CARE MIC!"

The pair were relating to Aizawa, who was currently forming a very angry email to Nezu, which was in fact, already over ten pages long, explaining how horrible of an idea it was to visit Yokohama, and wondering if the rat hated his kids that much to send them to there pretictable deaths.

"You're going to break your fingers." Present Mic observed, as he cleaned up the many empty cups of coffee beside the computer Aizawa was still furiously hacking away at.

"I don't care Mic."

"Is that going to be your response to everything I say?"

"I don't care Mic."

"What if I told you I agree with Nezu?" This was quite possibly, the only thing that could've stopped Aizawa's rage induced stupor, for now he had turned comically in his spinning chair to gape at his husband, who was currently tossing the empty cups into the sink.

"You want to die as well?" Aizawa finally said once Mic returned, snatching the fresh coffee out of his hands and drinking a good quarter of it, relishing the burning sensation.

"I think it's a good idea to figure out what we're working with. No one has ever seen the inside of Yokohama and lived. Can't you see this is a great opportunity?"

"To die?"

"I don't think they'd invite us there just to kill us." Present Mic, ever the reasonable one said, eyes twinkling as his husband huffed.

"I don't think we can assume anything with those crazy bastards." Aizawa mumbled, knowing his reasoning was poor.

"C'mon honey, they're all capable students, whats the worst that could happen?"

And so, the Email was deleted, and instead of spending the rest of his night ranting to Nezu, Aizawa schemed on how to inform his kids they were going to be entering a city which had virtually nothing known about it.

"You shits are coming with me to Yokohama."

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

Aizawa though his method of bluntly announcing at the end of class was a great strategy to have his kids mulling over the idea in excitement or despair, but obviously he underestimated the pure curiosity of Class 2A, because now he had 20 something students on his doorstep, each one taking turns absolutely smashing the hell out of his doorbell.

"Aizawa-Sensei!"

"Yokohama?"

"Is this another prank?"

"Are you high?"

"Sero!"

"It had to be said."

"Get off, my doorstep." The incessant ringing stopped as Aizawa cracked open his door, beady red eyes staring maliciously at his students. Any other class would have ran away in sheer terror, (No other class would be stupid enough to do this in the first place,) but class 2A was well equipped in defenses against Aizawa's deadly glare.

"You can't just say we're going to Yokohama then leave!" #1 problem child had unfortunately grown some balls, and now he had his hands planted on his hips as he attempted to look threatening.

"I can do whatever I want." Aizawa responded, feeling a bit like a petulant child.

"Tell us you damn caterpillar." Ahh, speaking of petulant children.

"Kacchan!"

"I said it you damn Deku!"

"What do you want to know?" Aizawa asked, interrupting the infamous duo with his mostly sarcastic question, but his kids obviously didn't take it like that for now all of them were springing up, the cacophony of noise very much assaulting Aizawa's very fragile eardrums.

"SHUT UP LISTENERS!" Apparently, the class's noise was enough to wake up Mic from his pre-dinner nap, and his powerful voice was the final thing to set Aizawa off, before he fully exited the door and slammed it viciously behind him, his threatening glare not letting up for a single second.

Class 2A decided now would not be a good time to mention the bunny slippers Aizawa currently had on his feet.

"We will be leaving in two days to visit Yokohama, you are the only class going, yes this trip is mandatory, no I am not high but I will confiscate all that weed in you closet if you don't give me some Sero. Anything else?" At Aizawa's rant, the class only looked slightly satisfied, minus Sero who was very disappointed he was going to have to give up some of his stash.

"But why?" Izuku asked, confusion dancing on his very easy to read face.

"I don't know." Aizawa shrugged then walked back inside his house, slamming the door shut as loud as he could once again.

"So is no one going to question Present Mic and Aizawa living together?" Mina finally piped up after a good minute of silence.

"We have more important things to worry about right now than Cockatoo and Caterpillar living together Raccoon eyes." Bakugou growled out, eloquently as ever.

"Yokohama." Todoroki mumbled. "What's that?"

"Oh Todoroki." Izuku sighed, grabbing the arm of the dual haired boy to converse with him in low tones.

"Well i'm excited" Mineta smirked rather crudely, and it was obvious to everyone he was imagining the girls that would be in the elusive city.

"Gross Mineta." Uraraka said, already dreading the thought of keeping Mineta in line.

"Hey, I can't blame him. This is a city that has never been seen before by the outside world. I'm betting they have the hottest chicks." Denki offered.

"How does being basically a hidden city have anything to do with hot ladies?" Kirishima asked.

"What would you know, you're the gay one." Denki waggled his eyebrows in the general direction of Bakugou, who was currently screaming at Jirou, Momo, and Sato who all looked a bit sheepish for an unknown reason. Kirishima flushed and nearly clocked Denki in the head with a hardened fist.

"Denki! It is rude and offensive to call someone out on something they are not willing to share!" Iida, appearing from nowhere, lectured Denki, who clutched a hand to his heart.

"I-Ii-Iida! Are y-y-you homophobic?"

"What? Of coarse not! People should be free to love whoever they are inclin-"

"Jeez guys just drop it!" By now Kirishima was mortified, Iida was panicking, and Denki was cracking up as he still pointed at Iida.

"I can't believe it, our class prez-"

"GET OFF MY PORCH!" The hero students shrieked in horror as Aizawa once again abused his innocent door, smacking it hard against the wall as his red eyes lit up menacingly, although it was unsure who he was using his quirk on.

The collective 'Yes Aizawa Sensei' was music to Aizawa's ears as his kids scattered, almost nobody going in the direction of the dorms.

And so began the mission to figure out exactly why Class 2A was going to Yokohama began, and since Aizawa didn't want to give the students any details, the class took it upon themselves to interview the teachers who could potentially give them answers.

"Why are we going to Yokohama?" It was Mina's mission to scrounge up answers from Present Mic, since he was the most likely to spill and Mina was the most likely to get him to do so.

"Didn't you hear it from Aizawa? None of us know." Present Mic shrugged as he continued grading tests. (Mina winced as she saw a bright red F on hers.)

"Yes, but you guys do know something." Mina prodded, eyes wide and pleading.

"Absolutely nothing." Mic gave a genuine smile, and either Present Mic was a better liar then Mina guessed, or he was telling the truth. Mina opted for the latter. But, as Mina turned to leave, Present Mic ushered her back, before glancing around in a dramatic fashion to make sure no one was listening.

"You didn't hear this from me but if you are curious, ask Nezu, he's the one who sent the letter."

"PRINCIPLE NEZU!" It was Denki's turn, for he was the one who had been sent to the office so many times he had begun to bond with the mouse a bit.

"What is it this time Kaminari? Did you fail one too many tests? Be the misfortune one to prank Aizawa? Oooo maybe you snuck out?" The mouse ticked off all his options, delighting in the guessing game.

"No, i'm here voluntarily." Denki put up his best convincing smile, determined to be the hero for his class and receive the knowledge.

"Oh!" The mouse looked so surprised that Denki almost felt bad for deceiving him. "Well then, sit down! Would you like some tea?"

"Err yeah!" Denki put in a mental note to force Bakugou to make him some delicious Ramen to cleanse his palate after forcing himself to drink the abomination that was Nezu's tea. Sacrifices must be made. Denki and Nezu sat in an awkward silence as the mouse concentrated on brewing the tea, pulling out a rather fancy cup to pour the concoction into, handing the steaming cup to Denki who almost spilt the tea bringing it over to himself.

"So..." The mouse looked a bit lost, and if it wasn't evident that no student came there voluntarily by Nezu's surprised face earlier, it was very much so now. "Do you wanna, talk?"

"Yes!" Denki pounced on this opportunity, secretly gagging on the tea before turning back to Nezu. "I was curious about the Yokohama trip."

"Ah yes! The trip you lucky lot are going on!" Nezu beamed. Denki waited for the mouse to continue but that was all apparently, for the mouse took a big sip of tea then reclined back on his chair.

"Can you tell me anything about it?" Denki prodded. At this the mouse's smile slipped slightly, and his eyes lost there warmth.

"Are you trying to manipulate me into giving you answers?"

"No I swear, I was just curious!" Denki objected because he wasn't reeeeeally trying to manipulate the mouse (mostly because he couldn't) he was just using very subtle deceitful methods in order to get the answers he wanted. (Those methods included specifically picking the time when Denki knew the mouse was feeling lonely so he would be more likely to open up.)

"Well in that case no." The pout Denki gave must have been very impressive for Nezu's eyes crinkled sympathetically.

"All Might was the one who requested this trip, I just sent out the letter. He might have some information."

In came Izuku, the picturesque of innocent sweetness as he stepped into All Might's office.

"Young Midoriya!" All Might was in his small form as he hunched over a computer, turning around to great his disciple.

"Hey All Might!" Izuku called as he stepped into the room, already knowing their routine well enough to hop onto the couch grabbing a sweet to suck on as he waited for All Might to finish.

"So what brings you here today?" All Might asked as he stood up, back cracking so loud Izuku winced.

Izuku attempted to put an innocent expression on his face, softening his eyes and pinching his lips before speaking.

"Can you by any chance tell me about the Yokohama trip?"

"What do you want to know about that?" All Might's expression turned guarded and Izuku cursed his forwardness.

"Oh, well I was just curious!' Izuku shrugged his shoulders, and miraculously, that somehow relaxed All Might's stance.

"Yokohama is a city of great mystery. I have always wanted to visit the magnificent place, and now that I am teaching here at UA, I thought, why not ask? We are one of the most influential schools out there. Somehow it worked!" All Might explained, and although the lie might be bought by some, All Might's pained facial expression while speaking really did not bring much confidence in his answer.

"Oh!" Izuku squeaked, absolutely terrified to confront his hero in the act. "That's great!"

"I lied to him." Izuku openly sobbed in the dorms later, held comfortingly by Todoroki Uraraka and Tsu.

"Oh grow up." From absolutely nowhere Mina popped up, followed by Denki. "You didn't even really lie, just asked very specific questions. Hell you didn't even call him out on lying,"

"He's All Might Mina!"

"Yeah, All Might and a liar!" Denki whispered in Izuku's ear, which caused the boy to sob harder.

"Oh look what you did." Uraraka complained, smacking Denki away as the electric boy grinned.

"What are we going to do now?" Todoroki asked the real question in his signature deadpan.

"Oh were not stopping." Mina said determinedly. "We will blaze past our teachers deception!"

And thus ended the mission to figure out why they were going to Yokohama, and the mission to discover why All Might was lying began.

____________

"You did what?" Inside the obscured city of Yokohama, two mafia members sat atop plush velvet chairs, comfortably gazing over the colorful landscape below them.

"I accepted the request." The bandaged one responded, a small sigh leaving his lips as he repeated his answer to the thirtieth person of the day.

"Why?" The female asked, not reprimanding at all, which was a small bliss for the overworked boss.

"Why, such a small word for holding so much meaning." The bandaged one observed, eyes closed as he leaned back in his chair.

"You avoiding again Dazai."

"That's funny." Dazai smiled as he stared at the landscape below.

"Osamu."

"Don't call me that." Dazai's threatening tone scared most, and the red headed female was not excluded at she futilely attempted to hide a shudder.

"Of course boss." The redhead slipped off her seat gracefully and bowed her head, notably refusing to kneel.

"You can go now Kouyou." The woman nodded as she took her leave, glancing back at the man once more in worry before departing.

The man sat in silence for a minute, checking his watch once before glancing upwards again, a smile playing on his features as the door slammed very brutally open.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" The newcomer shouted, his expressive face lined with anger.

"Oh why hello there dog, of course you're invited in, make yourself comfortable!" If anyone else had decided to very angrily open Dazai's door, the only thing they'd be receiving was a gunshot to the head, instead of the rare smile Dazai was granting his visitor.

"Not your dog you insolent bastard." The man grumbled, but he still stomped his way over to Dazai, after slamming the door shut as loudly as he could, most likely to make a point.

"But you actively portray the most common elements of one. Look I made a spreadsheet!" Dazai held up a set of papers, procured from some random pocket.

"You make me want to kill you even more everyday." The man almost growled as he read the title of the papers: 15 Reasons proving that Chibi is my Dog.

"I will be awaiting that day fondly." Dazai responded. The following slap almost hit him.

"Stop being suicidal you jerk." Chuuya complained, as he settled down in the chair Kouyou was occupying only minutes earlier. Dazai enjoyed the silence for a split second before Chuuya leapt up, feet balanced precariously on the edge of the seat.

"You bastard, making me forget why I came here. Why did you accept that god damn request?" Chuuya jabbed a finger at Dazai.

"What is with everyone questioning my motives today?" Dazai whined. "Can't the reason just be that I was bored?"

"Yokohama is a city which practically nobody has ever seen before, and you decide to accept the request which entails a bunch of goody two shoe heroes coming here?" Every few words Chuuya jabbed at the air, which honestly made for a cute display in the brunettes mind, but he didn't dare say so in fear of being roundhouse kicked.

"You caught me Chibi, obviously I have my reasons but alas, they are too grand for the simple minded such as you."

"Did you just call me stupid you fat fuck?" Chuuya shouted and Dazai smirked slightly, always ready to banter with the short bodyguard.

"The stupidest of stupid." Dazai adopted a dreamy look.

"I hate you sometimes."

"Only sometimes!" Dazai smiled as widely and as stupidly as he could, a way over the top expression that had Chuuya, master of expressions wrinkling his nose.

"Don't do that, you look fake as fuck." Chuuya reprimanded.

"Anything for my Chibi~"

Seeing Chuuya's embarrassed red face was worth the responding slap on the head.
