"Romeo? My little Romeo, where are you?" Called Porsche as he trailed through out the room looking for the little tike. He swore he'd only turned around for a second and the little rascal had disappeared. Porsche was just glad he was only looking for one of his children. Tankhun had stopped by earlier to steal away his daughter. Of course despite Porsche's protests not to spoil the children Tankhun had claimed he had accidentally bought too many pretty dresses for his favourite niece, not that anyone believed that. But of course Remia loved sparkly things and dressing up so Porsche couldn't stay mad at Tankhun when he saw the excitement in his little girl's eyes.
"Romeo?" Called Porsche as he began searching around the sitting room. He looked behind the sofa, under the cabinet but still no sign of his little boy. He did however find Romeo's favourite stuffed dinosaur under there. "Where on earth could he be?" Porsche stood and searched around some more. He groaned when he noticed the door to the hallway was slightly ajar. Tankhun must have forgotten to shut it properly when he'd came by to take Remia. Great, it was hard enough trying to find Romeo in just one room, now he was going to have to search the whole house.
Porsche exited the room and began making his way down the corridor where he bumped into one of the guards. "Hey, have you seen Romeo?"
"The child is missing?" Asked the guard alarmed.
"Not missing!" Complained Porsche. "He's just gone for a walk."
"I'll check the camera's right away Khun Porsche!" Cried the guard before rushing off. Porsche could only shake his head in amusement. Ever since the children had been born the guards had been on high alert. They would panic if the children got so much as a scratched knee. Porsche tried to explain that as the children grew they would acquire many bumps and bruises but that wasn't acceptable for the guards it seemed. They saw it as a failure of their duties if one or both of the children got so much as a scratch on them.
Porsche continued down the corridor in search of his missing child. He raised an eyebrow as he grew closer to Kinn's office and heard the soft giggling of their little boy. Porsche peeked through the slightly open door and smiled fondly at the sight that greeted him. Kinn was typing away on his laptop with one hand while he securely held Romeo around the waist with the other as the little boy sat on his lap. It seems their son was trying to copy his daddy by reaching forward to also type away on the laptops keyboard, but every time his little hands got close Kinn would gently bounce him back on his lap away from the desk.
"So this is where you got to!" Announced Porsche entering the office and looking at his son who giggled in response.
"He wanted to watch me work, didn't you?" Kinn smiled down at his son gently placing a kiss to the top of Romeo's head.
"Work!" Cried Romeo as he once again tried to reach for the laptop.
"Sorry kiddo, that's daddy's," chuckled Kinn. "Besides you are far too young to be working!" Porsche grinned as the room was soon filled with their son's laughter as Kinn began tickling him. "But maybe we should get the kids a laptop," mused Kinn as he stopped his tickling attack to look up at Porsche, Romeo copying him with big brown hopeful eyes.
"Absolutely not!" Replied Porsche shaking his head. "They haven't even started school. What on earth would they need a laptop for?"
"Not an actual laptop, I meant one of those children's laptops that are educational but also have games on them," explained Kinn.
"That's not a bad idea," agreed Porsche. "But you know I already don't like how much TV they watch, Your brother is a bad influence on them," grumbled Porsche.
"I'm pretty sure it's your brother who insisted on buying this little one his first game console for his birthday," countered Kinn.
Porsche opened his mouth to instinctively defend his brother although he wasn't sure why. He and Kinn were on the same page when it came to limiting the children's screen time, instead they encouraged the twins to actively play and engage in the world around them. Before Porsche could say anything however Pol came rushing through the door.
"Khun Kinn, Khun Porsche. There has been an incident," Pol informed them.
"What is it?" Asked Porsche trying not to panic.
"I'm afraid I couldn't stop him. He insisted she needed a trim."
"Pol!" Snapped Kinn staring the other man down. "What did my brother do?"
"He cut her hair," winced Pol as Porsche yelled angrily.
"Porsche," Kinn called in warning before Porsche let every curse word he knew fly from his lips in their son's presence.
"I swear if he has made a mess of my babies hair he is going to regret it!" Threatened Porsche as he stormed from the room.
When Porsche entered Tankhun's room he expected it to be a mess and there to be crying. But no. It was quiet as there sat at the table adorned with a delicate tea set was Tankhun in one of his usually offensively loud outfits and across from him in her own tiny chair sat his beautiful three year old daughter who was wearing a very sparkly yellow dress. He noticed Arm stood apprehensively to the side. Porsche hurried forward to inspect his daughter's head and was surprised that yes Tankhun had indeed cut her hair, but he hadn't cut it too short and it actually looked fine. Almost as if it had been done by someone who knew how to cut hair.
"Oi, Pol!" Complained Tankhun. I told you it was fine. Just a little trim. Now doesn't she look pretty," beamed Tankhun.
"She looked pretty before," snapped Porsche bending down and lifting his little girl into his arms. "You can't just cut my children's hair without asking."
"But she looks fine!" Complained Tankhun.
"Princess!" Announced Remia proudly.
"Yes you are! You are my little princess," grinned Porsche as he placed a kiss to her adorable chubby cheek.
"Pretty princess," laughed the little girl.
"I see it's not so bad," interrupted Kinn as he entered carrying Romeo on his shoulders. The little boy was giggling as he used Kinn's ears as handles. Porsche always found it endearing how gentle and patient Kinn was with their children. "But in future dear brother, you're not to have any kind of blade near my children," Warned Kinn. "And you two! What on earth were you doing allowing a blade to get close to my children?" Kinn demanded.
"We're sorry Khun Kinn, Khun Porsche," replied Arm and Pol bowing their heads in apology.
"But she needed a trim. Her hair was getting in her eyes! See I even gave her pretty bangs," insisted Tankhun.
Porsche sighed. As mad as he was Tankhun had cut his daughter's hair he couldn't deny that he'd actually done a really good job.
"Maybe next time we could add some colour or sparkles!" Announced Tankhun excitedly.
"No!" Yelled both Kinn and Porsche making Tankhun pout in disappointment.
"Want sparkly!" Demanded Remia proving she was paying attention to the conversation unlike her brother who was busying himself with tugging on Kinn's ears and hair.
"How about wigs?" Asked Porsche and feeling relieved as he saw Tankhun's eyes once again light up with excitement.
"Wiggly?" Giggled Remia as she began to do just that in his arms, her brother soon copying her as he wiggled from side to side causing Kinn to panic and instantly try to steady the child on his shoulders with his hands.
"Not wiggly like a worm," laughed Porsche. "I said wig for your pretty hair."
"I must order them right now!" Announced Tankhun. "Can you imagine her with sparkly pink hair or maybe a beautiful blonde. There are just so many options!"
"Pink!" Agreed the little girl in Porsche's arms happily.
"Green!" Yelled Romeo wanting to join in. Which in turn caused his sister to squirm around in Porsche's arms to look over his shoulder at her brother and yell back "Pink!"
"Green!"
"Pink!"
"Green!"
"Pink!"
"No. Green!" Wailed Romeo becoming upset his sister wouldn't agree.
"No! Pink! Pink! Pink!" Chanted Remia determined not to let her brother win. Porsche was pretty sure the children had no idea what they were even arguing about. It seems they simply felt the need to defend their favourite colours.
"That's enough," chided Kinn silencing both children as he reached up and pulled Romeo down into his arms. "Uncle Tankhun will order every colour in the rainbow."
"You know me so well," responded Tankhun happily.
"Now that we've settled that important matter, can we now go eat?" Complained Porsche as he saw the time on his watch. It was nearly dinner time.
"Food!" Cried Romeo happily as he bounced in Kinn's arms in excitement. Romeo was definitely the twin who loved to eat the most.
"I pick?" Asked Remia looking up at Porsche with her beautiful wide caramel eyes.
"No!" Responded Romeo before Porsche could. And of course that set them off arguing again.
"I will pick what we all eat and I don't want to hear any complaints!" Porsche announced loudly. He watched as the twins both turned to Kinn in hopes he would side with one of them.
"You heard your Pa kids. We will all eat what he chooses and we will enjoy it because he always makes sure we eat healthy and tasty things," grinned Kinn as he looked to Porsche who could only stare back lovingly.
"That's enough!" Complained Tankhun." Out, out, out."
It was later that night after they'd settled the kids down that Porsche asked. "You had all the guards remove every single pair of scissors from the house?"
"Of course!" Responded Kinn as he pulled Porsche down to lie beside him on the bed.
"Good," sighed Porsche as he snuggled against Kinn. "He surprisingly didn't do a bad job. But I certainly don't want to risk him one day deciding to give her a bob or a pixie cut," complained Porsche his face scrunching up at the thought of Tankhun cutting off all his daughter's beautiful long hair.
"I have no idea what any of those are," replied Kinn softly. "But I agree, our daughter's hair is beautiful as it is."
"Precisely! Once she becomes a teenager there will be plenty of time for her to experiment with her hair. But for now i want it to stay lovely and long."
"Don't," groaned Kinn burying his face in Porsche's hair. "I don't want to think of either of our children as teenagers. Can't they just stay tiny and adorable forever," he whined making Porsche laugh at how cute he was.
