Work Text:
Polite, powerful, pleasant, and intimidating.
Those were all words that could describe one of the Nine Elders, Padrius Encillion, more commonly known as Bishop.
He was Cloud Garden's lord and leader. Adori's employer.
Four quick knocks on the door. A moment of waiting.
No response.
With a sigh, Adori opened the door and entered the room.
Bishop laid flat on his stomach, head rested against an outstretched arm. His face was turned away from the sunlight pouring from his bedroom window.
He looked relaxed and innocent. Handsome and soft. There was an urge to brush away the hair from his forehead and keep it from poking his lashes, and an urge to pinch his nose to cut his airflow so that he'll wake.
Decisions, decisions.
Adori's duties made the decision.
"Sir, please wake up,"
Adori spoke as if Bishop was awake.
No response.
Adori tried again. Then again.
I know what you're trying to do, it won't work.
"My Lord, you told me to wake you at this hour. You said you had something important to do."
Still no response.
Adori looked up at the ceiling and sighed. In a more insistent tone, Adori said,
"Wake up, Lord Encillion."
Bishop shifted a little.
Adori resisted the urge to smack the Elder's handsome face. Death would no doubt be the end result for such audacity.
"Lord Encillion, get up."
Time was ticking and Adori was starting to lose patience.
I swear if he misses whatever event he had planned…
"Encillion."
"Mm."
Bishop tucked his arms under his pillow, still pretending to be peacefully asleep.
Adori groaned, almost growled in annoyance.
Fine!
"Get your ass up right now, Padrius Encillion!"
Bishop's eyes opened and glowed blue. The grin on his face was smug and feral.
Scary. Powerful. Dangerous. Dangerous.
Adori gritted their teeth and reigned back their tone.
"My Lord-"
Ice cold wrapped around Adori's wrist. It pulled Adori up and over Bishop and onto the bed.
The water dissipated and was replaced by Bishop's warm hand.
Bishop grinned boyishly as he straddled Adori's waist and pinned both of Adori's hands with his.
"Now, is that any way to address an Elder?"
Bishop leaned closer until his breath caressed Adori's throat. Even without the blue glow, Bishop's eyes seemed sinister.
"Worse still, I'm your boss."
Adori snorted.
"You always do this, you drama queen."
Bishop kept his grin, but dropped more of his weight on Adori.
A sharp inhale.
Adori struggled to focus.
"You could always tell me directly if you're in the mood, so I could fit it in my schedule. I don't want you to be late."
Bishop laughed, his grip tightened around Adori's wrists.
"You should know better by now, Adori!"
He nuzzled Adori's hair near the ear.
"I already considered how much time I'd take to deal with you. Let's see…"
Bishop grazed Adori's jaw with his teeth, then nipped at Adori's chin.
"I have a lunch meeting, and it's just six am,"
Bishop breathed out an amused laugh,
"Looks like we have time, Adori."
A light shiver ran down Adori's spine.
