Chapter Text
This is my first time writing on here so let’s see how this goes
“Hey Paul what’s up with Brutal lately” Dean asked as the two sat in the office filling out some paper work. Paul glanced up to Dean with a raised eyebrow before putting his pen down “what are you taking about Dean?” Putting his pen down as well Dean leaned back in his chair looking out the door to the main desk where brutal and harry sat talking about something. “I don’t know he just seems different, happier or something. I think there’s something going on.” The younger guard said.
Paul dismissed what Dean had said at first but now he couldn’t help but see what he had been talking about. Brutal had always been pleasant to work with but something did change. He was happier when he showed up in the morning’s, he was in more of a hurry to clock out than he used to be, and strangely enough he was happier about his lunch. While nothing looked extremely different about the sandwiches or leftovers he brought he was for some reason more eager to eat.
Pretty soon Harry had noticed the difference too, sharing theory’s with Paul and Dean about what they thought had caused this. Percy was the last to notice but of course the first to mouth something to Brutal when he had walked into work with a smile on his face “what’s got you so excited this morning? Did you forget you work in this dump?” Percy said with a smirk on his lips. Brutal just rolled his eyes and said “shut up Percy” as he walked past the small man.
This went on for a few weeks before one day Brutal had to go down to the front office to grab some paperwork leaving his lunch tin on the desk. The guards all looked at the tin then to each other after he had left but it was Harry who made the first move to open it. “What are you doing?” Dean asked with worry in his voice. “There’s something different about his lunch that’s got to do with his mood lately and I want to find out what it is” Harry said as he looked to Paul who nodded signaling Harry to continue and lift the lid and look inside. “I don’t know about this Harry what if Brutal comes back and sees you digging in his lunch” Dean said still on edge with the situation. “Come on Dean, I know you are just as curious as us and you were the first to notice Brutal’s happier mood” Paul said giving Dean a little nudge on the shoulder. Harry pulled out a small folded paper from the tin and started to unfold it “See I told you, now let’s find out what this is all about.” Harry said glancing at Dean. “Go ahead Harry read it out loud” Paul said with a nod “Yeah who’s it from” Dean asked. “Have a great day and be safe. Love y/n and it’s signed with a heart” Harry said and looked to the other two guards
“Who’s that?” Dean asked looking confused. “Well-“ Brutal said causing the guards to jump at his voice having some how not heard him come back. “Looks like my secrets out” brutal continued as he sat the paperwork down on the desk and sat back in his seat “I have a girlfriend who leaves me notes” He said with a shake of his head. The other three guards shared a look before they all started to ask Brutal questions about this mystery woman. Brutal couldn’t help but laugh as he filled in the guys about the girl he had found and how happy he was to be able to call her his.
