It's my birthday. Hooray... for me.
I've had my birthday in the studio more than once. Normally everyone treated me normally, but today... I feel like they're ignoring me... Allison, Tom and Henry were acting the strangest today. They usually just walk around the studio for food and tools. You know, Henry has already given up on getting out of the cycle. But today... when they saw me, Tom almost jumped, and then after a strange exchange of words, they just ran away. On their fingers. They looked like rabbits. And Allison was holding a box, but she wouldn't show me what was inside. As for my lord, I haven't seen him once today. Even in bed I woke up alone. He may be a great ink demon, but he can sneak! And without even a sound!
The studio was deserted. It was not a normal sight. There weren't even any Lost Ones gangs or searchers... I'm beginning to suspect they're up to something. So, taking my ax off my back, I ran a little deeper.
It's dangerously quiet... I'm starting to get a little scared. Did they find a way out? Well, I suppose someone would tell me, even my lord...
Moving on, I finally hear what I wanted. Voices! I run, but all I come to is... a dark room.
"Is anyone here?" I asked hesitantly, grabbing the ax before the light blinded me
"SURPRISE!" yes you guessed it. Everyone gave me a surprise party!
"My Lord! Henry, Allison! Tom!" I laughed looking at everyone "Wait a minute... Coral?! You've been gone forever!"
"Maybe not forever, but I've been gone a long time!" Coral shrugged with a laugh. What surprised Sammy was that his friend had hardly changed at all.
"How did you guys do all this?" I asked, looking at the room with balloons and a "Happy Birthday Sammy!" banner.
"There were slight problems avoiding you," Allison chuckled, "But the plan was generally simple. Me, Tom and Henry were supposed to find Coral and decorations while your beloved lord was cooking food!"
"I always knew I had hands to cook," my lord said proudly.
I laughed and threw it around the demon's neck. Oh yes, no one has ever been as happy as me in this place. Allison was laughing softly when suddenly Tom licked her cheek, which made her blush. Now Coral was laughing heartily.
"Okay, enough talking, it's time to party!" she said calming down and handing me the present "This one is from me. And you open it now. No excuses"
"Okay, okay" I opened the gift. There was a brand new mask!
The party was great! And after that I went with my lord to our room.
"Did you enjoy the party?" asked the demon.
"Very. Thank you" I replied.
He kissed my forehead and I, wrapped in warmth, let myself fall asleep.
