Work Text:

Despite all the coldness and sharpness that both Sayo and Yukina surrounded themselves with, as if an armor against the world that they had once condemned, Lisa is very familiar with the way they carry with them a warmth that never fails to spread a smile on her face.

Having Sayo and Yukina as lovers isn't really easy. It's a lot of work, not just from Lisa but from the two of the most strict members of their band too. Their conflicting views, which while they appreciate to know of most of the time (they have never objected to looking at matters from a different perspective after all), it also causes rifts and problems between the three. They're trying, at the very least, and that fact blooms like the blue rose they embody inside Lisa's chest. Feeling so full and fuzzy and everything good that her two lovers bring.

“Minato-san, as I was saying—”

“Lisa, is there something wrong?”

At the sound of her name leaving the silver haired vocalist's lips, Sayo and Lisa snapped their attention towards each other. Sayo, because Yukina had called Lisa out so suddenly and Lisa because she knows very well that it should be Sayo that her childhood friend is focusing on but now both their eyes are on her.

“Imai-san...?” Sayo furrows her brows as she places the music sheet down the two were just reviewing down.

Rehearsals had already ended, Harumi having gone to drive Rinko and Ako home while the three of them elected to stay behind first in the studio to clean up. And while they have already finished putting everything back to place, there's no stopping Yukina and Sayo whenever they begin the discussion of their rehearsals and their songs.

So here the three of them are.

Yukina, ever so keen and sharp in everything about her childhood friend, tilts her head when Lisa meets her golden gaze. Of course, it's her who notices first. “You've been quiet.” She explains and Lisa blinks at that, processing her words until—

“Ahaha~" Lisa laughs and she knows that the way she laughed so naturally, with nothing to hide, set the two at ease with how they relaxed their tense shoulders. They've always been very easy to read.

(Ako would very much object as if she doesn't do the same to Rinko. Sometimes, Rinko tries to speak to them without words, only through body language — so used to staying quiet — and most of the time, only Ako would be able to understand. It's adorable though.)

“My bad, I was just thinking about this one hella tough part that Sayo played amazingly well in the new song.” She grins and relishes in the sight of Sayo's surprised expression. “I noticed that she easily accommodated to Ako's slip up too.”

Yukina chuckles, shaking her head. “That is only to be expected. After all, Sayo really is amazing.” She agrees, her hand reaching out to take the music sheet that lay forgotten on top of the speakers if only to pick up where they've left off, to see what other revisions Sayo had made, before she feels her wrist be taken by her guitarist.

Yukina raises her head to look at her, before the corners of her lips twitch upwards at the sight that greeted her.

“Minato-san, Imai-san, please.” Sayo sounded as if she was struggling to stay collected, accusingly narrowing her eyes at the two childhood friends, “There's no need for flattery. I promised to do my best for Roselia after all.” A light shade of pink dusts her cheeks and Lisa would have normally point it out, then relish in the way her blush turns a shade darker but not this time.

“Now, now.” Lisa urged Sayo to loosen her grip around Yukina's wrist, her smile widening once she noticed the satisfied curve of Yukina's lips. “There's nothing wrong with them now, are there?”

“No. However—” Before she can even explain herself, her words are cut short by the silver haired vocalist.

Yukina looked at the sheet, noting the changes that Sayo wrote, “Rejecting our compliments doesn't quite suit you, Sayo,” their leader remarks before picking up the pen again to also add her own thoughts on the changes, some tweaks here and there. Rinko will have to see it too, eventually. After all, her input has become very important to them.

“You did well and you should be proud of it.” She hums, the words easily leaving her lips because she's always said them to the teal haired girl.

Lisa grins at that. Well, Sayo still isn't used to being praised but Yukina is trying and it's oh so amazing because it's Yukina who also has difficulties being satisfied. She always have been a greedy person but—

She quietly watches as emotions flickered in Sayo's gaze which remained locked with Yukina's. A few seconds later, they softened and then a small defeated smile graced the guitarist's face and Lisa filed the view in the corner of her mind full of her favorite sights in the world.

“Very well.” Sayo says, as she knows that Yukina is stubborn and Yukina is her leader. The silver beauty always gets what she wants. And it's always been too easy for them to yield to her desires. “Though, I must also point out that Imai-san improved with the bass. Back then, you usually fumbled for quite a few times before getting it right but this time, you had little difficulty with it.”

Now, it's Lisa's turn to be embarrassed. “R-Really?” She stutters, turning even redder when she feels Yukina's hand take her own. “Thank you! Layer and I had a short session together and it allowed me some... Breakthrough, I think...!”

There's a tug on Lisa's hand and next thing she knows, she's being pulled over to where the foldable chairs were alongside Sayo. Meeting Sayo's gaze, Lisa gives her an easy smile before her attention settles on Yukina who had sat down on her left while Sayo took her right.

“Mmhm.” And then there's pride to be seen, swirling in those piercing molten gold gaze and now, Lisa feels like she's melting too. Sayo, while not someone very expressive, leaned closer to Lisa. “That's great to hear.” She murmurs.

When a blanket of silence was about to befall on them, Yukina began to hum a still unnamed melody. Lisa's grip tightens around the hand Yukina had offered to her (they had never parted) and she feels Sayo's shoulder brush with her own.

“We should all head home soon.” Lisa says as she lets herself relax while Yukina's humming envelops the three of them. “It's getting late after all.”

There came no response but when she feels the hand that holds hers squeeze tighter and the shoulder that is brushing against hers get closer, a laugh simply bubbles out of Lisa's lips.

Yukina and Sayo might be very difficult to understand for a lot of people but not for Lisa. Never for Lisa. It comes naturally, the words she plucks from the silence that they basked in.

It tells her that they wish to indulge in this moment a bit longer.

“Okay, fine. A little bit more then.”

A little bit more time with just the three of them sounds great.
