Sky just couldn’t hold his excitement today, he rushed up and down the stairs making sure everything was prepared and ready to go. “Calm down,” Shosei said. Sky didn’t listen and he kept going. He understood why he was told that, though. Just this week he went to the hospital because he bumped into the door real hard. He hummed happily while putting the picnic basket in the trunk of his car, imagining how fun their picnic would be. He had been waiting for this day to come as he had been very busy lately and how restless Shosei had been lately that they couldn't spend their time together.
Meanwhile, Shosei was busy tidying Sky’s wardrobe. He shook his head when he saw the mess that is Sky’s wardrobe. He just couldn’t figure out how he always managed to get it cluttered every single day with wrinkled shirts all over the chair, a disorganized drawer filled with mismatched socks, and neckties being in places they're not supposed to be. Having that done, he passed through the foyer and saw the picture from their first date. He couldn’t stop himself from smiling, seeing how happy they were and how they ended at this point. But suddenly tears started to fall from his eyes, he couldn't stop them from coming down so he just moved on, rubbed them off his face and went directly to the car.
Sky noticed how puffy Shosei’s eyes were so he asked why did he cry. “It was nothing, don’t worry about it.” he replied. Having heard that, he couldn’t help but worry but since his Shosei told him not to worry, he brushed it off his mind and started driving off. Despite having Shosei sat shotgun for years, Sky felt unusually nervous having him next to him today. It somehow reminded him how nervous he was when he first saw him. It was their high school admission ceremony, Sky just didn’t know anyone could be that pretty. He always felt like he’s the luckiest man to have Shosei by his side. He couldn’t imagine how he lived for years without waking up to Shosei every morning, he couldn’t imagine not hearing his hums while he cooked for him. He just couldn’t.
They finally arrived at the beach. Having the car parked, they set the picnic blanket and they sat down. Sky excitedly ate the sandwich Shosei had prepared. Shosei’s homemade strawberry jam always got him eating more and more of them. He didn’t know what Shosei had put in them, “It must’ve been your love for me,” he said. Hearing that, Shosei slapped Sky’s forearms and laughed a lot. Then he felt sleepy, so he chose to lay down and rest while Sky started to talk about their memories together. “Remember when we fought that one time? I was so childish back then” laughed Sky. “Yeah, it was so funny when you tried to move away from me so Sho decided to push me closer to you” replied Shosei. “I don’t even remember why were you so mad at me at that time,” he continued. They laughed it off and Sky continued to ramble on and on that Shosei just couldn’t keep up with it. He just smiled because of how happy he was to be with Sky before he eventually closed his eyes and fell asleep.
