you laid on your couch, lazily watching a shitty rom-com while your hand dug through a half empty bag of potato chips. as you watched the cliché movie you heard a knock at your door. you sighed as if you were a spoiled kid not getting what they want and got up from the comfortable state you were in, walking towards the door.
“can i come in?” you saw your boyfriend, p.d., standing in the doorway, holding your favorite flowers.
you nod, shocked that he’s at your house since the two of you have given each other silent treatment after he spoke about a mistake you made in the relationship while you were in an argument. you move out of the way, opening the door a bit more for him to come inside and closing it afterwards. you both sat on the couch as he started speaking.
“look, i’m here to apologize.” he fiddled with the flowers in his hand, looking down at them, not making eye contact.
you rested your arm on the top of the couch, signaling that you’re gonna listen to what he has to say.
”i’m sorry i lost my temper, i really shouldn’t have brought that up.” he spoke in a meaningful tone, looking up at you yet still keeping his head low.
”i just can’t stand the silent stuff. i miss you.” dude said, reaching out one of his hands to hold yours.
you reciprocated and looked back at him, giving him a large grin. god, you couldn’t handle the ‘no talking’ any longer and it felt good to know he couldn’t either.
”so, give me one more chance?” he asks, pulling his head up and shoving the flowers closer to you.
”hmm, i’d have to think about that.” you obviously joked, still having that smile plastered on your face, making him smile a little as well.
“oh come on! i had to go to 4 different stores for these!” his tone shifted to a fake sad one, shaking the flowers in his hand, making you switch your gaze towards them.
