Chapter Text
“Ugh.. school is so boring! It’s no place for a star like me!”
“Tsukasa.. C’mon…”
Tsukasa and his friend Nene were walking home from school. Nene turned her head to her friend, and put a hand on his shoulder.
“Just admit that you say that because your grades are lower than your IQ.”
“H-hey! Just because I have only two passing grades does NOT mean anything!”
“Man…” She sighed, taking her hand off his shoulder.
Suddenly, while they walked by a park, they saw something weird. Tsukasa saw it first. There was a soft glow, which was pretty weird for it being the middle of the day and in a busy place.
“Tsukasa..? What is that?”
“Hell if I know! Don’t go near it!” Tsukasa shouted.
They heard a bush shake.
Nene hid behind Tsukasa, practically forcing him to look by pushing him towards the bush. He scoffed, and looked inside, and found… a moth. It was pink, with some yellow. It felt… scared. Why was a moth here, in a park, during the day? Weren’t they usually nocturnal?
“Should we help it?” Nene asked from behind him, slowly coming out from behind. Tsukasa picked it up, ignoring Nene’s flabbergasted face. “It looks… cute?”
“Tsukasa, what the hell?!”
“I don’t know man! I’m terrified!!” He whispered.
Nene sighed, taking the moth from Tsukasa.
“I’ll take it home…” she started getting stuff to put it in a box, but there was another puff of light and suddenly, they saw a very confused girl on the ground, in a miyamuzaki girl’s academy uniform.
“Hey! I know that uniform! Saki goes there!” Tsukasa said, shocked.
“You were just going to take a random moth home?! What the actual peck!” Said the girl, pointing at Nene.
“Well, what else would you do? I don’t know what moths do! Who even are you?!” Nene replied.
“Wait… are you Airi Momoi?” Questioned Tsukasa, ruffling his blonde hair.
“Hm? Why? What does it matter to you, huh?!”
“Oh! My sister is a big fan of yours! Can I get an autograph for her??” He smiled.
The girl, Airi, Tsukasa remembered, was a part of a big idol group. Or.. she still is? He wasn’t sure. He didn’t keep up with professional idol things, that was Saki’s job.
“Uhm… fine. Do you have a paper?”
“Yes! She’ll love this, thank you so m-”
After getting out a paper, he saw Airi’s eyes grow wide. She grabbed his and Nene’s wrists, and glared at them.
“Now that you saw me as a moth, you can’t just go around and tell everyone, you got that? I’d be finished as an idol, you get it?! I can’t just let you go.” She whispered, grabbing tighter on their wrists. Tsukasa winced a bit, and looked at Nene. Nene had a terrified expression on, and he felt her shivering in fear.
“Alright, we won’t tell anyone! What will make you believe us?!”
“Hmm… help me become human. That’s what I want you to do.”
Tsukasa and Nene looked at each other, and sighed.
“You do know we don’t even go to the same school, right?” Nene sighed, and Airi sighed with her.
“Then, please, at least come to my house after school and help me. Don’t tell ANYONE!” Airi almost shouted, releasing them from her grip.
They nodded, and Airi sighed.
“Can i get your numbers?”
“Sure.”
“Good.”
Later that night, Tsukasa looked at his phone. How did that even happen? He’d better ask Nene about it tomorrow. Maybe he can find someone who knows about… whatever Airi was. Surely, someone would know, right?
