Kouta

KATSUKI'S POV

"I know you slept with an omega." The annoying voice speaks up, smug. "What are you talking about?" I ask. "I know you slept with an omega last night."

"So?"

"That's gross." The kid pouts at the table.

"Look, just because I'm sleeping around doesn't mean anything. If you're so worried about getting a bad mom, don't worry. I'm not getting anyone shitty. These are one-night-stands. I'll only take the best from now on." I groan.

"Oh yeah? I don't believe there is a good mom out there. And you're a horrible parent." Kouta grumbles. "So just stop looking." I bang the dishes I was cleaning and growl.

"Look, you little shit! I try my fucking best! It's not my fault your mom left you with me! I'm not ready to be a single parent, she booked it! Stole MY money, MY car, and left you with me all of a sudden when I had no time to prepare. Your mom was shitty. I do my fucking best every fucking day, but you don't exactly make it easy!"

"Oh, so it's MY FAULT?!" Kouta yells, standing up suddenly. "No! But you keep acting ungrateful! I could have thrown you away at some orphanage! But I did the responsible thing and kept you! You're my fucking kid, so I take care of you. Yet you treat me like shit, daily! I buy you clothes, food, shelter, and I pay for that expensive ass private school you love so much! I come home every night to cook you dinner, I clean up the dishes, and all I ask is some fucking respect and good grades! And you only give me one of those things!"

"You're a shitty parent! Why should I respect you?!"

"Because I try my fucking best!"

"Well, it's not good enough!" Kouta argues. "THAT'S IT, GO TO YOUR FUCKING ROOM, I'M TAKING YOUR PHONE!!"

"NOOOOO!!" He whines and pitches a fit.

"YESSSSSS!!!"

The next day, I drop him off at school silently... again. Drive is silent, there's no goodbye or good luck, or have a nice day. We just separate at the car. I then go to work and be the best fucking hero there is! The number one hero Dynamite! Everyone fucking loves me and my shitty attitude, thank you very much!

When I go to pick up the brat, I have a few cuts but nothing bad. Just some shattered glass. But this time, the brat is talking to a girl, excitedly. Holy shit. Does he have a crush? At this age? Well fuck. The kid is small with white hair and red eyes, she reminds me of someone... I can't put my finger on it. Annoyingly bright.

They wave goodbye and the poker face comes on as he enters the car. "Got a new girlfriend, brat?"

"EW NO! Gross!! We're friends! She's cool and awesome, unlike you!" I growl, starting to drive. Of course he turns it against me.

The next day, the same girl is talking with him. Then the next they meet up at the beginning of school. Kouta argues less but is silent with me more. Honestly? It's kind of welcomed. At least we're not biting each other's heads off. But when I think things are fine, I'm almost always wrong.

"Dad." Oh no... the "dad" means he wants something. "I want to go over to Eri's place. His mom invited me."

"Okay, when? I'll drop you off." I drive, almost not catching the victory fist in the back seat. "Aren't you concerned that they might kidnap me or something?" He smirks.

"Brat, I'm the number one hero. I'd like to see them try." He grunts in annoyance and we go silent again.

"This the place?? It looks... run down."

"So? They're not rich! Doesn't mean they aren't cooler than you!" Kouta exits the car and knocks on the door. I make sure he enters and leave. I'm not good with socializing with other parents. All they do is tell you how to raise your kid and all the things you're doing wrong. I know I'm a fucked up parent. But I fucking try. That's all that fucking matters.
