Chapter 1: Lloyd Gets Kicked Out of School and Remembers
One evening, Lloyd Garmadon awoke from a dream. In it, he saw a well-dressed woman with dark brown hair and a crowned man with pink hair, accompanied by a boar skull. Their appearances felt deeply familiar, but he couldn't quite place their names before he drifted back to sleep.
The next morning, Lloyd received a summons to the principal's office. After politely knocking and entering, he was hit with shocking news: he was being expelled from the Darkly School for Boys for "insufficient wickedness."
Defeated, he returned to his room to gather his belongings and left for Jamanakai Village that very day, determined to prove himself by demanding candy from the locals. However, the villagers mistook him for his father, Lord Garmadon, and panic ensued. They quickly summoned the ninja, who arrived ready to battle a dark lord, only to discover a kid throwing a tantrum. Instead of a massive fight, they simply hung Lloyd from a sign by his cape, enjoyed his stolen candy, and left him there.
As night fell an hour later, a flock of crows suddenly descended, perching on the sign where Lloyd hung. They watched him intently, their eyes dark and knowing. Then, they began to vocalize in unison, their voices echoing a singular name. Lloyd wondered who they were calling for.
