Chapter Text
Never Truly Alone
I was left behind
And as the sun softens my skin
I think
Of how beautiful the sun is
How even though it’s killing me,
It is possibly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen
It rains
And my burns are soothed
And I THINK
How soothing the rain is
How as it heals and mends
And reforms and renews
It’s the most soothing thing I have ever heard
It grows
The moss climbing over my frame
And I
Think
Covering me in its warm blanket
Cushioning my head
Protecting my skin
It’s the softest thing I have ever felt
It enters
Coating my throat
And
I
T H I N K
Roots settling in my lungs
Sharing the air I breathe
Flowers protect every inhale
It’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever tasted
It surrounds
…
My brain is no longer loud
My skin now melted away
Completely dry
Hidden under a green tent
Home to beauty
They left me in silence
But I am not alone
