- Namjoon's POV -
It was a rainy night.
I decided to work on the remainder of a song I've been working on for these past few days along with many others.
I tap the rhythm to myself.
"Make it move left and right..." I sing.
I sigh, and look up from my notebook and my eyes fall onto my alarm clock.
'1:45 am' it reads.
I yawn. I didn't realize it's already gotten so late.
I look down to write a lyric I just thought of.
Then, all of a sudden my door bursts open.
"Namjoon-ah!!!" Jin yells.
I jump in shock as I look up from my notebook to see Jin standing in my doorway with an angry expression his face.
We seem to stare at each other for a few moments.
'Why is he so angry? What did I do wrong?' I think to myself.
'This is either about food or-'
Jin stomps his feet which snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Namjoon! You know what you did! Tell me! Did you or did you not?!" Jin yells.
I furrow my eyebrows as I start to develop a headache from Jin's seemingly endless yelling.
"Jin...please..." I say, holding my head into my hands.
Jin says nothing in response.
"What is this about anyway?" I ask, pulling my head up to face Jin once again.
"My ice cream..." Jin whines.
Ice cream???
"You ate the rest of it!" Jin whines.
I catch my breath.
I knew it wasn't anything too serious.
"Jin, I'm sorry, okay? I will buy you more tomorrow. Is that alright?" I say.
Jin looks down and pouts.
"Jin please...it's too late for this." I say. My voice fills with annoyance.
Jin says nothing and continues to stare at the ground.
I'm used to Jin acting childlike but not like this.
"Jin...why are you acting this way?!" I exclaim. I feel so overwhelmed especially since I feel tired. I even forgot the lyrics I was about to write down.
"I...I no mean to..." Jin says in a higher pitched voice than usual.
I stare at him in silence as I try to process my thoughts.
'Why did he just talk like that?' I seem to think to myself over and over again.
Jin suddenly looks up and stares at me as I am staring at him.
"Sowwies...I get so m'weans somes...times..." Jin says.
"W-wha..."
I can't seem to get out a full word at this point.
Jin runs over to me, and engulfs me in a tight hug. I hesitantly hug him back, still confused.
What is going on right now?
"Jinnie so sowwies...Namu angies?" He asks.
"Oh...uh...no I am not angry at all, Jin." I say.
He pulls away from the hug.
His eyes look so innocent and pure.
"Jin..." I manage to say through all the confusion.
Jin stares at me with the same innocent eyes. I can't seem to hold in the smile that slowly arises on my face the more we stare at each other in silence like this.
"Nam-Nam, chu no worries...I is sowwies..." Jin says.
"O...Okay, Jin. Why don't we...you know...go to bed now, hm?" I ask.
I still have no idea why he's acting this way, but I guess I will play along the best I can understand.
"Mmmmhm! We go bed times!" Jin says.
Jin doesn't move from my bed.
"J-"
"Cawwy me, Namu!" Jin yells, causing me to jump.
I put a quick smile on my face and pick up Jin bridal style.
He giggles and swings his feet in my arms.
I feel another smile start to arise, but I manage to hold it in before Jin can see.
I quickly carry him to his room. I open the door and walk towards his bed where RJ is lying on a pillow.
I almost trip on his Mario toys that are on the ground. He always forgets to put his toys away properly, but I never mind.
I gently place him on the bed beside RJ.
"Okay...goodnight, Jin." I say. I reach my hand out to stroke his hair.
Jin all of a sudden grabs my hand.
"N-Namu...I scared..." He says.
"But you have your lamp on, Jin." I say. Jin has barely ever been scared of being his room by himself with his lamp on.
He pouts to himself before grabbing RJ and holding RJ in his arms.
"Sleep beside me, pwease..." Jin says.
My heart seems to start beating really fast at that moment.
We sleep together all the time, so I don't know why I'm so nervous.
I give him a nod.
I run to my room to get my phone, and charger. I can't be without them ever.
I hurry back to Jin's room only to see him fast asleep.
"Woah..." I say quietly to myself. I climb into bed next to him.
I shuffle closer to him and put my arms around his body, pulling his body towards mine.
Everything is silent then. I close my eyes slowly after making sure Jin is okay.
"Goo' night night, Namu..." I hear.
I smile as I feel sleep finally take over me.
