Hayi winced as she felt a sharp sting on her finger. She looked down to see a paper cut and sighed. Of course, even the smallest injury could ruin her day. But, just then, Hanbin walked into the room and noticed her holding her finger.
“What happened?” he asked, clearly concerned.
“It’s just a paper cut,” Hayi replied, shrugging off the pain. “It’ll heal on its own.”
But, Hanbin wasn’t having any of that. He took her hand and pulled out a band-aid from his pocket, carefully placing it over the cut. Hayi rolled her eyes, wondering if he thought she was made of glass or something.
“That’s not gonna heal it,” she said with a straight face.
Hanbin looked confused. “What do you mean? Isn’t that what band-aids are for?”
Hayi couldn’t resist teasing him. “You gotta kiss it after putting the band-aid,” she said, trying to keep a straight face.
Hanbin looked at her like she was a mad woman. “What?”
Hayi laughed. She watched as Hanbin grabbed another band-aid, placed it on her forehead, and then kissed her.
His sudden display of affection left Hayi completely taken aback. She had braced herself for an eye roll or a sarcastic comment, not a kiss!
“I don’t think that’s how it works,” she teased, pointing to her forehead.
Hanbin just grinned. “Well, it worked for me,” he said, leaning in for another kiss.
