Chapter Text
Louis always loved nature. It gives him a sense of calmness, simplicity, and tranquility. And no wonder he found himself wandering in the woods, totally amazed watching all the beautiful trees full of flowers, and birds chirping, maybe they are singing in their language who knows?
It was getting late the sun was setting, and it was getting cloudy like it is going to rain anytime now but all Louis wanted was to stay there forever. He'll miss this place so much, after all, it's his last day in London tomorrow he's flying to Los Angeles. Don't get him wrong he is excited about the new environment he'll have there but London feels like home and he has so many good memories here.
After admiring the beauty of nature Louis was getting up to go back home when he saw something, actually no, someone. Louis went closer to look who it is and when he was finally able to see the person, he felt like the air was knocked out of his lungs.
Sitting there was a very beautiful boy with green eyes and a very delicate flower crown sitting atop his curly brown hair, crying. He frowned, thinking why is this beautiful boy crying?
Louis stood there, frozen when the beautiful boy acknowledged his presence. And instantly both of their cheeks turned a bright pink.
Louis is finally able to move his feet and approaches Curly, well he doesn't know his name, yet. "Hey, why are you crying? Is something wrong?" he said, sounding worried, nervous and a little breathless.
"Hi" replied Curly, feeling a bit shy from getting caught crying like a baby in the middle of the woods.
Louis came closer and wiped the boy's tears with his hand, giving the green-eyed lad a handkerchief with a little L stitched in it to wipe his rosy nose.
The curly-haired lad's cheeks turned a darker shade of pink from the mere touch of the blue-eyed boy's hand.
After the green-eyed boy wiped his face with the handkerchief, was when Louis realised how beautiful the boy in front of him was. His beautiful green eyes reminded Louis of the forest, his bouncy curls framed his face perfectly and his shy smile made him look prettier if that was possible.
"You are very beautiful," said Louis, without realising he said his thought out loud. Then cursing himself internally for saying it out loud. "T-thank you" stuttered the green-eyed boy.
After a few moments of silence, "Umm, I-I lost my way out of here, though it's very pretty in here I need to go home before it gets late or else my mum would start worrying," said Curly rambling a bit because of nervousness. "Well you asked the right person, come this way," said Louis giving a slight bow while pointing to his right.
They started walking in the right direction when Louis noticed Curly was rubbing his arms slightly. "Are you feeling cold?" asked Louis. "Yeah a little," said the other lad shivering from the cold. Louis took off his jacket and wrapped it around the curly-haired boy's shoulder, who refused but Louis convinced him.
As if on cue, right when Louis gave the boy his jacket it started raining. Within a few minutes, both of them were soaked to their bones. Curly patted the pockets of the jacket feeling something in the left pocket and pulled it out to see what is it. It was a have-eaten banana, Louis took it from his hand and took a bite not noticing how the other lad grimaced at the condition of the banana, or should I say a bruised banana. Louis offered the banana to Curly, who refused, "No, thanks."
"Can I ask you something?" asked Curly to which Louis replied by nodding. "Are you human or monkey?" asked Curly, in a mischievous tone. Louis giggled softly and cheekily replied, "What do you like human or monkey?". Curly honked out a laugh popping his dimples and then covering his mouth while laughing.
They walked for another 10 minutes without saying anything and in comfortable silence when Louis asked "What's your favourite flower?". "Tulips" replied the green-eyed boy almost shyly like he was telling him a secret.
"What about you?" asked Curly to which Louis replied with "Daffodils".
Then Louis saw something shining around Curly's neck and asked: "What is that?". Curly looked down and pulled out a pendant with the moon in it and replied "It's a necklace by my mum, she said the day I was born there was a lunar eclipse."
Louis stopped abruptly and pulled out his pendant with the sun in it and said "Well it's kind of weird but I have this pendant with the sun in it because the day I was born there was a solar eclipse." "Wow" replied Curly looking a bit amazed.
"You know there's a saying, the sun loved the moon so much he died every day so she could breathe," said Curly nonchalantly.
"Yeah, and the moon reflected his love," said Louis calmly.
Then they walked for another half an hour, Louis cracked some jokes here and there and the other lad would laugh and smile making his dimples pop out. Oh boy, at this moment all Louis wanted was to memorize his laugh, it was like a melody to his ears and the sight of the cute dimples was making him look even cuter.
The rain was slowly fading when they finally made their way out of the woods, feeling a bit reluctant to part their ways just yet, Louis smiled a little and turned his back ready to go when "Hey, Listen!" called a voice. When Louis turned back he saw the green-eyed boy holding his moon pendant. "Thank you so much for helping me," said Curly, while giving the pendant to Louis, who refused, "Hey, it's okay you don't need to give me anything".
"You helped me, you deserve it....okay take it as a gift from a friend," said Curly. "Good to know we are friends, well, if you are insisting Curly" the other boy blushed hearing the nickname. "Only under one condition though, you have to take this," said the blue-eyed boy giving his sun pendant to the green-eyed boy.
"Thank you so much," said the curly-haired lad and kissed the blue-eyed boy on his cheek. Both of them blushed furiously. "Bye, Curly," said Louis brushing his hands where the aforementioned lad's lips were a few moments ago, tingling from the touch."Bye" replied Curly smiling sweetly. The handkerchief and jacket were long forgotten.
They bid their goodbyes, not knowing what was to come in the future. They went their separate ways not knowing that their destination was the same. And unknown to the fact that That's where it all began.
