Roxie Malfoy was born into the Noble and most ancient house of Malfoy on a warm spring day, well, the 5th June 1980, to be specific. She was born the youngest of 4 and the youngest of the 3 triplets.
The eldest sibling was Celestia Malfoy, born on 1st January 1978.
The second oldest sibling was Draco Malfoy, born on the 5th June 1980 (precisely 30 minutes before Roxie).
The 3rd child to be born was Sophia Malfoy, born 20 minutes before Roxie.
Roxie was a shock to the family when she was born because she didn't inherit the malfoy traits, no she inherited the black family traits. She had dark brown hair and brown eyes (not the blonde hair and blue eyes the rest of the family possessed). Her brown hair was very very wavy though.
10 months after the triplets were born, the youngest family member was born. On the 2nd May 1981, Leo Regulus Malfoy (the spare heir of Malfoy) was born and just like the rest of Roxie's siblings, Leo had blonde hair. This somehow made Roxie more hated on by Celestia and her parents. Because it was more proof that Roxie was a anomaly.
A couple of months after Leo was born, on the 30th October 1981, Lexie Lestrange was born and in November the malfoy's gained custody of her so one more crazy person in the house.
Because of Roxie not looking like a Malfoy, she was hidden away from the world. Everyone but Bellatrix and Severus Snape believed that Lucius and Narcissa had twins, not triplets. Also since Leo was only a spare heir practically everyone ignored him and forgot he existed. So, Sophia and the House Elves practically raised Roxie and Leo because the only time Lucius and Narcissa could ever be bothered to interact with either was at training or when they were getting punished (Roxie got most of the punishments).
Punishments ranged from getting screamed at to being locked in a room for up to 48 hours, to being cursed, to violent punishments, that you can imagine for yourself, without my explanation or diving into the details.
Training was:
- wizarding history class,
- death eater history,
- pureblood training,
- manners training,
- spell work,
- potions
- the way of a Malfoy pureblood.
Roxie hated her training. She didn't want to learn how to be a death eater. She didn't understand why muggles and muggle borns were bad. She didn't want to hurt anyone. This caused her to get more punishments. Roxie noticed Sophia frequently rolling her eyes during training, she didn’t dare do the same.
All this is what caused Roxie to be the shy, terrified girl she is and it is also why by the time she turned 11, she was both terrified and grateful to go to Hogwarts.
