It's a beautiful day outside with lots of birds singing on to the peaceful and yet delicate breeze from Spring. The bright and warmth from the Sun is at such great time making the day completely at peace and with such words to many people to enjoy. Following the peace from the town on to the many streets, just around the corner it leads to the School with many youngsters enjoying their free time, and the future of a New generation of Upcoming and inspiring students for great careers are strengthening their Mind.
In one of the Hallways leading to a “Physics 101” Classroom, with many trifolds presentations or even Reports stacked in the desk of the Teacher, Students were looking at the assignment of today in due time…
“And Voila!! This is! If not!! One of the Many Uniquenesses of this Rock!!” The student in question, a long brunette Hair Gal with lab coat holding a rock as some students already were whispering to unsuspecting ears.
“Mrs. Barron…”
“Apapap! In its due time, Mr. Rogens!” The Long Brunette states while still holding the Rock in Her fingerless gloves still on the lab coat. “Now behold! The throw and movement of the friction of the air will be just enough to basically propel the work, right?” She says in her Explanation while scratching Her chin with the other hand. “Of course! That's how it works! The force of my throw should be enough to create the energy push and then get see the results…number.” The Brunette student finishes Her work and winds up Her arms. Already the students in front of the row are not liking the looks of it.
“Mrs. Barron!”
“¡¡Y AYA VOY!!” The student shouts as She winds up fast and throws the rock. It whizzes through the air, and the rock ricochets off of the wall, leaving a nasty crack. Students gasp and duck. The teacher ducks, narrowly avoiding the rock as it hits the chalkboard with a loud bang, and the chalk tumbles to the floor. The rock finally makes its last detour out the window, and glass shatters all over the floor. One would even swear that they heard a bonk sound from the outside. Many students were curious to see and some teachers were inspecting the area and grabbing the culprit rock and looking upwards.
“Welp…Uhhhh, the force made it bounce. Which I am sure it still counts to a degree, right?” Karina said while chuckling nervously and looking at the teacher who was already annoyed at the damages.
“Karina Barron…” Mr. Rogens simply said while pointing at the door and just made Karina sigh in defeat and nod already aware of the routine and the pointing.
The Oooooooooos from many students were heard, but Karina simply grumbles and grips on Her left fist and nods as She takes Her backpack and makes Her way outside of the class not before leaving the Lab Coat of the class hanging in its due place and then going to put back Her varsity jacket, and makes way outside of the class.
Within the upstairs of the school, and some offices in the walk, Karina got into Mr. Galaxy’s Principal’s Office. Varsity Jacket on the back of the chair and the Brunette sitting just in front of the Principal of the School as He taking out some files and put them in front of Karina. The student recognized those files, “Sooooo, Uhhh, Guess my professor of physics isn’t so much of a fan of physics, ‘Eyy?” Karina tries to break the ice to which didn’t amuse the principal as He just sternly looks at Her.
“Karina, from what Mr. Rogens have told Me, You didn’t really do Your project, did You?” Mr. Galaxy went straight to the point and there was nothing that Karina could say as She was glancing around and rubbing Her arms.
“To tell You the truth, I still technically did what I was asked to do in a manner of speaking. I am just bad at calculating.” Karina said with a little shrug and the Principal could only sigh and just look at the Brunette.
“Karina, What did the professor ask for?” He simply asks and says the student looks upwards and tries to remember. Or rather tries to make time and not truly see what She was asked for as well as the entire classroom. “Hmm? I have been informed by him that You only presented yourself with a rock…a recent one at most even.”
“Well…He did ask for a Tri-fold and some report notes and yeah. Many more stuff for the topic that We saw last week.” She finally gives in and hangs Her head down as lots of Her hair is already covering her face. It was all that the Principal wanted to hear as He went on to write more about it in the archives.
“Listen, Karina, It's not only about Physics anymore. Its most of Your classes.” Mr. Galaxy said while showing the reports of the recent works and cases from Karina. The list is not truly showing that much of it is complete or really a well-done job. “You’re dangerously close to failing them. You’re a senior now, and You have to start taking your work seriously. No more pushing assignments to the last minute and No more improvising Your projects.” He continues and Karina could feel Herself shrinking down more and more with each file showcasing Karina’s work through Her Senior year.
“I honestly would’ve thought they would like it fair and simple to be fair.” Karina says in any way to try and escape or make something better out of this.
“Karina, You need to put in effort if You want to pass Your midterms. This is for Your future, it's not about a grade.” Mr. Galaxy said and that only made the Varsity-wearing Girl just wince at those last words.
Mr. Galaxy was about to say something, but his recorder just turned on and from the speaker, “Mr. Galaxy, Mrs. Pert has brought Benyamin. He got into a fight and Larry is currently at the Clinic’s Room. And We also got the flying rock too.” The secretary behind the speaker said and suffice to say The Principal was shocked and so was Karina as She mouthed a “Whoa, diablos.” and Mr. Galaxy quickly pressed the button again…
“Hmmm, Send Him here, Ms. Lori.”
With that, the office to their Office has opened and reveals a tall bulky and thread-hair Student which had some bruises and an ice bag on the forehead. Benjamin closes the door and looks at both Karina and Mr Galaxy with the Brunette already feeling awkward and taking different glances anywhere else. “Hmm? Uhm, I’m sorry, but Mrs. Lori told me that I can enter? And also hold on to this rock? I have no clue that… Why…” Benyamin said while pointing at Karina who could only wave at Him clueless as well and Mr. Galaxy stands up from His seat.
“No, No! No need to apologize, Benyamin. Take a seat. There is actually a matter of discussion that I have to say to both of You as a matter of fact.” Mr. Galaxy said while getting an extra seat for the New Student in the office for him to sit. “This will be actually beneficial for both.”
“Hmm? A benefit for both?” Karina would be lying if She said that She isn’t curious about this whole ordeal.
“Yes. You see, both You Karina and Benyamin, are doing quite sluggish and aren’t holding quite well within Your Grades, I thought it would be pretty neat if You both do some extracurricular studying! Like a Group study session!” Mr. Galaxy said while returning to His seat proposing the idea.
“Both of Us?” Ben said quite surprised at that suggestion. “Why exactly, Mr. Galaxy?” He asks more.
“Oh geez, buddy, Nice to know that you already want to hang out with Me.” Karina rolls Her eyes and crosses Her arms when hearing that with her tone going sarcastic.
“Hey! I didn’t mean it like that! Just, why to that suggestion, that's all!”
“Easy, easy both of You. Learning is a Great step for greatness, and I always believe that great minds can learn so much more if there is a group to hear and see other points of view. This could be a learning experience and at the same time, a chance of learning more than just studying!” Mr. Galaxy suggests and smiles at his explanation while showing lots of big historical figures and scientists.
“Hmmmmmm…” Karina though still wasn’t sure of it.
“Plus, I really don’t want to resort to the other option which will be putting You both in Detention Class and extra Homework. That wouldn’t be great, would it be?” The Principal said while looking sternly at both. Truth to be told for both Students they were sweating at the suggestion of the Detention and Extra Homework, Karina particularly groaned at hearing those two words.
“I wouldn’t mind. If it will help, I’ll do it then.” Benjamin says first and then both look at Karina. The brunette long hair gal still wasn’t sure but quickly She adjusts Herself into the seat and grabs on to Her Varsity Jacket.
“Sure, I am in! So long as it's much shorter than the regular work we do, AND! Don’t have to go through detention, then Yeah, why not?” She finally responds while adjusting Her hair a bit.
“Excellent! If You both agree to this, then I would also suggest starting today. Library will be open until the sun sets and hides.” Mr. Galaxy said as He went to sit down and write down the tasks for both Students who were just looking at each Other already. Mr. Galaxy hands both students a permission paper and pass. “With these passes, You both will officially be a Group Study. Any kind of resource can be found in the library and head LIbrarian Raven will let You both through on Weekends if You both need to.” Awkwardness and also just the feeling of not really wanting to go through it, but just like that, there weren't many options for them, right? Both Karina and Benyamin wrote down Their signatures.
“Soooo, Uhhhh, does that mean We can go now?” Karina said after giving the pen back to the Principal.
“Yes, Yes. You both are dismissed. I’ll notify Your Parents about the Group Study, alright? Now get back to Classes and DON’T get into more troubles both of You, okay?” Mr. Galaxy said while Karina seemed to be gone within the wind, and the rock also gone, making halfway through the door the moment She heard the dismissal, “Mrs. Barron!! I’m serious! No more shenanigans for today!”
“Yeah! Yeah! Thank You, Mr. Galaxy! Really appreciate it, K THANKS!” Karina said while shouting those last sentences. Ben could only stay there awkwardly as Mr.Galaxy sighs, a bit prepared for the next time She will get into the office. It was a guarantee for the Principal.
“Well, if You excuse Me sire…” Benyamin said while pointing at the door and slowly retreating.
“You may go, Benyamin, but I will call You again once I hear about the story from the Student You got into a fight with, alright? Need full clearance on the matter before deciding what to do, You understand, right?” The Principal said quite as a fact. The thread-hair student could only cringe internally, but He nods.
“I understand.”
“Thank You, Benyamin. For now, just go to Your Next Class, alright?” Mr. Galaxy said while finishing more reports on the matter of fact. Benyamin nods and exits the Principal’s Room. Now with Mr. Galaxy all done, He simply sighs and leans back on the Chair.
“Galaxy, You’re such a Cool Principal, For real.” Mr. Galaxy adjusts His glasses and smirks proud of Himself and the accomplishments He has done.
“Principal Galaxy! The Warm and Prepared Cookies are ready at the Teacher’s Lounge!” The secretary’s voice came in as well and Mr. Galaxy simply stims at the mention of the snacks.
“OOOOOOH!! I should prepare some Warm Milk!!” He said while rapidly going outside His office to enjoy His Snacks.
Much later on the hallways, it was pretty empty by High School standards, with the occasional Students going out or going to their Next classes, or even on the outside Young Students from the Middle Grades, already enjoying the Lunch breaks and having Fun together. Karina walks along these hallways looking at the playground and looks back at the hallways. With a sigh, the Varsity Jacket Brunette just takes out her cell phone and looks at the hour.
“Ehhhh, it's almost time for Lunch Break anyways. No need to go back to Physics.” She says as She takes another direction for the hallway and heads nearby the cafeteria.
The beautiful spring morning has slowly gotten into a Great bright dusk, with many Students following Home, and some Teachers calling it a day or staying at class for some preparation for the Next Day. With a walk just across a big hallway to the Other building of the Entrance School, the Doors of the Library were right there and then. Approaching the Library door, Karina stared up at the intricate design before pulling open the door. She was left agape as she walked inside. Her eyes darted to follow the length of staircases that towered over Her. Each Staircase lead to countless floors with mazes of book sections and hidden nooks and crannies decorated with comfortable chairs. Karina walks alongside the huge maze of books, She just looks at the hallway leading to the entrance’s desk and laptop. Karina walks along thinking to Herself why a Library was so big and was it necessary?
“Uhh, Hello? Mrs…” Karina was about to ask outloud but was immediately shushed by none other than the LIbrarian Head herself.
“Shh! Please don’t speak So loud in here.” Raven said while going into the front desk of the Library while holding a small stock of Books. “What can I do for You in these hours? From my understanding, All Students usually prefer to go back Home unless it's Midterms or Finals week.” She adds while looking at the laptop and typing something before looking back to Karina.
“Uhhhhh, I got permission from the Principal. I’m here to do some studying.” Karina said while taking out the permission pass from Her jacket’s pockets and went to show it to Raven.
“Hmm, Ah! Yes, Karina Barron, Your partner has arrived too. You both got Two hours here max. After that, I’ll ask both of You to please exit and leave any book in Their respective place. There are Missing Books lately.” Raven says and mumbles that last sentence more so to Herself, “There are more rules to follow, and I expect You to follow them.” Raven explains the whole motif and Karina nods at the explanation.
“Will do, Will do, and Thanks!” Karina said as She went on to Her own way leaving Raven to simply just stare at Her unamused. One second passed. Two more, and then Six more and yet Head Librarian didn’t take off the look as its revealed that Karina really never went onwards to find Benyamin.
“Uhhhh, excuse Me, would You tell me where…” Karina could only chuckle nervously as She took a peek back to where Raven was as She also finished Her sentence.
“Where Benyamin is.”
“Where Benyamin is…He went upstairs of the library, right after the upper stairs, to Your Right and You will find Him sitting there. Headphones on by the way.” Raven said all while focusing on the stack of Books She was organizing and reporting in as in On Time or Late.
“Thank You! Gotta go then!” Karina said, louder than what Raven would’ve appreciated, but She was already gone at the stairs. With a last squint, Raven returns to Her own job.
Karina was looking at the whole place. “Whoa, talk about remodeling.” She thought while heading into the upper level of the library as She was looking around trying to remember what Raven had said, and that was until She saw the back of someone having threads on the hair while wearing headphones. “Huh, it must be Him.” Karina said while heading towards the table which had indeed Benyamin as He was already into business in what He signed up for. With headphones on His ears and reading a book about Music. With each bop of the headphones, Benyamin smiles and closes His eyes at the rhythm.
“Heya there!” Karina said at first but to no avail. “Uhhhh, Dude??” Karina tries again and once again with no avail. Slowly the varsity jacket Girl was getting annoyed but looking at the scene, She put two and two together and simply nods. “Hey!! Dude! Earth to Youuuuu!” Karina tries one last time this time putting Her arm and wave at in front of Benyamin to which, He slowly opens HIs eyes and looks at the sudden appearance of someone else in the Library, making Himself just yelp.
“GAH!!” Benyamin yelps with His Chair making some nearby tables tremble…and some books also fall down. “Sweet mother of, Don’t do that!” He said while clutching His chest and louder but catching Himself from the shout.
“Well, Hello to You too, I guess.” Karina said while also being taken back by the scare or rather jumpscare that Benyamin went through. “No worries, I won’t scare Ya next time.” She said while adjusting Her backpack into Her own seat from the table and hanging it on the back.
“Thanks, uhhhhhh…” That is the sudden realization, for both actually, that They still have yet to present themselves. “Sorry, I couldn’t really get Your name back in the Principal’s office.” Benyamin to say the least was feeling bad on not even asking the name of what will be His partner in Tutorial.
Karina just offers a handshake, “Karina. Karina Barron, and You are Benjamin, right?” Karina says to which Benyamin grabs the handshake.
“Nice to meet You, Karina. And yes, but I gotta tell ya, it's written with a ‘y’” He said while showing His library card. “Just in case, because Many have gotten it wrong.” He finishes as the grip of the handshake was quite strong for both of Them.
“Sure, dude! And that just made Me remember, You in a Sports Team of School? I may have heard Your name there and there and I think I have saw You in After School practices.” Karina said while breaking the handshake and then going back on the chair to lean on. “What would it be…Hmmmmmmm… Tennis? Boxing? Wait…does the school even have boxing?” Karina was talking to Herself.
Benyamin simply shrugs, and goes on to grab another Book that He had picked, “Not much of a big player. I guess You could say I’m on the Football team.” Benyamin responds to Karina’s question to which it just made Her curious upon that question.
“Really now? What position?!” Karina was already having sparkles on Her eyes from the answer.
“Uhhh, I guess Front? I really don’t…” Benyamin responds with a bit of sweatdrop already falling from the right side of His forehead.
Karina slams Her hands on the table and the Big Football player student could’ve sworn that He saw some cracks forming on the table where Karina’s hands were slammed. “Oh Dang! Wait! Were You there when We destroyed the High School of Falcons!?”
“Uhhh, sure…” Benyamin states or rather just cuts short the simple response. Karina though, already more intrigued, continues.
“Wait really? Were You playing cause I don’t remember about a Benyamin and such, that or I don’t remembeeeeeer? Were You playing any other-” Karina continues and more but Benyamin simply waves His hand in a dismissive way.
“Shouldn’t We better focus on the Studies by All means!?” Ben simply responds with a bit of snap that definitely took out by surprise the Brunette student.
“Hey, buddy, Chill too! Just asking a question to You.” Karina said in Her defense while pointing at Benyamin respectively.
“Well, and I answered, didn’t I?” Benyamin retorts.
“More like getting snappy at Me, which I don’t really appreciate it either!” Karina says or rather shouts more for the liking of the library.
“And You have every right to do that just as I responded too. Now please, lets just Focus alright?” Benyamin said while pinching the bridge of His nose towards His Partner.
However the brunette wasn’t at a loss for words as She simply goes on sitting on Her chair while throwing Her arms in the air, “Woooooow! Okay, Whatever You say dude. It's not like I tried to make a Fun Conversation anyways.” She retorts indirectly while crossing Her arms.
“Says You and for You.” Benyamin’s tone was done.
“Yeah! And could’ve been both, Y’KNOW!? Like!” Karina’s flare was once again igniting up, but before She could retort, a Whole slam of book could be heard just besides The table and both Students were taken out by it as Their stood out all electrified and turn to the side to see Raven just glaring and quite unamused at the bickering. Her eyes piercing blue color as She closes both of them, and yet…
“Ahem, If both of You are willing to continue this pointless bickering please let me know, and I’ll send You both out from the library and tell this to the Principal on what You two actually do in this time for studying.” Raven says calmly while opening Her eyes black and waiting for a response.
Both immediately had wide eyes and were shaking Their heads not so fast to which, Raven just turned around and went downstairs. Both Karina and Ben sigh in relief and then for a moment They continue glaring at each Other, with a lighting almost appearing in front of them.
“Listen, Let's just focus on what We have to study and thats it. We can go back to Our ways.” Benyamin offers a peace solution to which Karina simply crosses Her arms and looks to the sides and groans.
“Ughhhhh, Fineeeeeeeee. Don’t get snippy snaps to me again though, or Else!” She cartoonishly points at Benyamin’s chin while squinting glare at Him and then slowly sinking back into Her chair and trying to figure out where to even begin in the studying. Or even, what book to pick since soon enough the Long-Hair brunette has no kind of book in Her disposal and rather just some notebooks. Like a lightbulb going on Her head, She went to the backpack of Here's to take out Her notebooks and see if any could help.
“Yes! Yes! I’m sure my notes will…..be…useful.” Karina thought to Herself as She opened the first book She saw and realized that most of her notes are simply a mess of doodles, and occasionally the sentences for their studying.
Karina simply facepalms herself and groans softly as now Her face was up in the desk with Her hair hiding it. Benyamin really could only see the struggle from Karina, with a sigh, “Y’know, depending on Your classes, You can pick books from the cases, right?” Benyamin suggests as Karina lifts Her face still squinting at Him, but seeing that He was now pointing behind Her and She follows the trail seeing many books of Scientific topics.
“Uh-huhhh, I k-knew that, Sure!” Karina acts out on cool as She dismisses Her hands waverly and casually gets up and goes exactly to do that as Benyamin simply rolls HIs eyes and takes out His own set of Notebooks.
“This will be a long session, won’t it?” He simply states to no one but himself.
The Varsity-jacket Girl goes on to search on the case and section of Chemistry and then the division between Physics and Calculus. Karina simply was looking upwards and had barely reaching the upper cases as She was in Her tippy-toes. “Who even DESIGNED These things!?” Karina said trying Her best to reach fo a Arithmetic uses of Chemistry book, and as much as She tried and tried, Her fingers barely reach the edge of the book, “Almost thereeeeeee! Come Ooooon! Fall Fall!!” She struggles more, but with a bit of jump and far stretch, Karina could pull in the book, making the books on the side tremble from the movements and fall down, “Whoa Whoa!!” Karina simply avoids the fallen books and picks them up fast and just force them back into the lower columns.
“No one saw that… Yeah.” Karina looks around and just as She was wishing, no one was around. “Phew! I did it!” She said quite proud of Herself and just as She was about to walk away, She noticed a small stool of staircases and simply groaned and kicked it away. Just as She was returning back to Her table with Benyamin, in the little gap where the book She took, a high speed blur could be seen with a flying paper slowly floating away and descending. As it lands, the paper was slowly shifting by itself…
“Alright, I am back!” She said while holding the book on. The topic just right there definitely didn’t sit right with Karina already feeling all the boredom coming to Her. Her face said it all and Benyamin could tell.
“Arithmetic with Geometry?” Benyamin starts with curiosity.
“Yeaaaah, I for the life of me don’t want to do this. I don’t get it either! Its Figurines! Its Shapes! I know my Squares and Circles!” Karina said while throwing Her arms in front of Her and to the sides.
“I can see where You’re coming from, but maybe it won’t be so bad?” Benyamin said in trying to ease the situation.
“Tch, Speak for Yourself, dude. These topics are THE WORST!” Karina responds while opening the book and trying to search for topics for everything really. “I don’t even know where to begin.” She complains one more time.
Benyamin trying to remain patient with Her, He just goes to point to the book, “Just try and see what was the last class’ topics then?” He suggests to which Karina simply leans on Her head on the right hand of Her’s.
To which Karina just chuckles nervously, “I really didn’t think of that to be honest. Ehhh, too much going back anyways. I can leave it for later.” She says while looking now at the book She has given. “Calculus and all these has to do with physics after all…right?”
Benyamin puts both of His hands on his face, clearly His patience on the test, “Listen, genuine question. Do You care? You went on to sign and agree on this, but it seems that You really don’t want to go with this.” Benyamin went to the point to which Karina seemed offended by it.
“Wh-!! What did I tell You about being snappy at Me!?” She says while pointing Her fingerless glove-worn finger to Benyamin to which He simply rise both of HIs hands.
“And I am not! Its just a question! My God, Why are You-” Benyamin was definitely being test in how much He could take on with Karina, and before rising more His voice, He just took a deep breath and settles down. “Okay, look, clearly, You don’t want to be here and I just don’t want to hear your attitude about it. Let's just try to co-exist at least! We are stuck here til at least the closing times.” Benyamin explains to Karina to which She just crosses both Her arms.
“Wow, You actually said something I like to hear. Sounds good, because seriously with you acting all mighty and dandy. I should put You down a few square levels!” Karina said irritated and visible veins on Her grip from the fist. Benyamin could only just throw both arms as well in the air, but decided not to go with anything more to say.
The rest of the time was spent with Each just….Coexisting together. Just taking it as a normal study session with the only thing in share being the table. After four minutes and what Karina assumed was just studying, She started to drift on to sleep. Leaning on Her head against the table and slowly releasing the hold on Her pen. “Mmmm…” She was mumbling tiredly or for lack of any activity, but soon enough…
“Hmm?” What seemingly was Karina trying to fall asleep, She just barely saw something moving in front of Her. From Her view, She saw a blurr, but even despite being on the edge of falling asleep, that blur was accompanied by something like… a snowball? With legs and holding Her pen.
Slowly, the Brunette Long hair Girl sits up and fights off the sleep from Her face with a little couple of plaps to Her cheeks and, “What the!?” Karina couldn’t really believe what She saw. Around the Corner of the stairs leading down to the main lobby of the library, Her Pen being dragged down and yet, nothing of a tell on who or what could be doing. Or thats what Karina wanted to think.
She immediately goes on to look at Benyamin who has again put on His Headphones and seemingly enjoying Himself in a book with notes and rhythms. Karina snaps and clicks Her fingers in front of the Musical-entrance Student and then waves a whole lot too, “BEN! BEN!! Hey!!” She shouts loud enough for Benyamin to at least catch attention. Seeing the distress on Karina’s face, He sighs and stops the playing from His music producer.
“What now, Karina?” He asks civil as He could.
“Benyamin! Dude, Did You see that!?” She asks to which a visible question mark just appears above Benyamin’s head and just looks confused at Karina’s remark.
“See what? Is there something on my hair?” He suggests.
“No, No! I saw something! I don’t know what, but like, something! That took my pen. I think it went downstairs actually.” Karina explains as She points down to the side of the table and then towards the stairs. Benyamin looked to what She was pointing at, but all He saw was just the tables and the surroundings of the book cases.
“Hmmm, not really? I don’t see anything.” Benyamin responds much to Karina’s annoyance and one could see annoying lines all around Her face.
“Oh wow, I wonder Why that could be.” She says right back at Him. “It was just in front of Me! In the table, actually.”
“Couldn’t it have been a dream? You did fall asleep.” Benyamin simply states with a deadpan tone.
“Look, I know what I saw. You can stay here all You want, that's my Only pen and I’ll get it back.” Karina says determined as She pushes quite a bit Her chair while standing up. Benyamin could only shake His head as He shrugs off that and goes back to His own book but gives one last glance before Karina goes downstairs.
Once Karina was down to the main lobby of the library, She saw that no one was nearby, not even Raven. For the varsity jacket girl, She just stood there and looked around, not really sure where to even look. Coming down seemed pointless until just then, She could feel a soft breeze and went to look where it came from and on a long hallway leading to a big door, She could barely make the small shine of Her Pen. “Hey!” She ran straight to the hallway and it seemed the door led to a really, small office? “What is… this?” Karina enters while looking around the office. It seems pretty cramped even more with more books on display, alongside some missing gaps too. Must’ve been the missing books the Head Librarian had mentioned. The Young Sportsy student was still set on finding Her pen, already being there, She scoops around, but to no avail. That was until…
She looks at Her pen like trying to be connected into a Book. “Ha! Knew that I must’ve seen something. now come ‘ere…” Karina said while trying to retrieve Her pen, but something was pulling back too. “Espera que?” She said while now pulling stronger than before and even then, She could still feel a struggle from the other side but Karina’s grip was stronger and She pulls back Her pen from the wide book, tripping down but now with Pen at hand.
“Huh, That was weird…” Karina said while trying to dust herself off from the pratfall, but then slowly, She saw…
“En Garde, Foul Beast!!”
“Hmm?” Karina perks up as She looks around to where or what was that. She shrugs it off at first, but, “En Garde, I said!! Draw Your weapon and face me for this brillant treasure of the Paperlers!” The voice once again rang and this time Karina looks faster and down to where She was holding Her pen.
“¿¡PERO QUE!?” She shouts as She sees an actual Paper figure with a custom made up paper helmet and a paper sword holding on to the Pen. “¿¡QUE DIABLOS!?” Suffice to say the Girl throws Her pen to the ground.
However, the seemingly sentient paper being was caught by another blur, the same blur that Karina saw and now She made it clear with Her eyes, “¿¿¡UN RATON!?? QUE.” Her voice was ringing loud and she saw that the blur was a mouse, but a mouse that had quite an unusual shape and…
“Quick! Sir Sharpen, on to my back. We shall get the Sacred Sword for Our Kingdom!” The mouse apparently was speaking as it was talking to sentient paper life that seemingly wobbles on to the back of the Mouse. Karina’s jaw could be on the floor and She just couldn’t even believe Her eyes or ears. Or anything that was happening. Not only that, but not only was the mouse talking, but also the mouse didn’t even look like it was from any natural way of life. It had a quick sharpened mechanical nose, with pointy ears like a Wi-fi antenna and its eyes looking dark as sunglasses straight up pointy and instead of legs, it was hovering with some sort of propeller energy.
“What IS HAPPENING!?” Karina shouts while backing away pretty fast and trying to grab on to anything just anything that would make sense. “Did You just SPEAK!?”
“Quick! The beast is distracted!” Sir Sharpen said while grabbing ahold of the pen from Karina to which She was still shocked.
“H-Hey! Just wait a second!” Karina said while looking through anything. A dropped book from the trip, She immediately picks it up and unbeknownst to the girl, the Book glows a bright light surrounding it for a moment. She makes haste towards the supposed talking paper and mouse.
Just as She chases them, She crashes onto Benyamin as both go “OOf” and knock each Other. “Benyamin!!”
Benyamin was rubbing His head and shoulders from the impact, “Sheesh! What is up with You? I saw the Mouse running away. Why did it have an origami on its back?” Benyamin said as Karina pointed with the blank book.
“Those are not Normal!! Didn’t You hear IT!?” Karina says with such fear and concern as She quickly got Up and makes chase for the mice. “Quickly! Get them!!” Benyamin stood up and tried to stop Karina but to no avail as She was on Her feet.
With as sigh, He still makes chase, “Karina! We’re gonna get in so much trouble! Stop!!” Benyamin shouts to Her Brunette partner and He was very grateful that the Head Librarian or any other teacher wasn’t near either.
Both the paper knight and the talking Mouse were escaping, but even with the floating compactor on their Side, They turned around to see that Karina was getting near. “Sir!” The mouse said as the Knight Sir Sharpen simply nods.
“Hold on tight, My Friend.” Sharpen said while pushing on to His Loyal Companion Mice just to continue on running, with creating obstacles such as throwing books off from their cases and the Mouse climbing on to walls of the library to tackle and throw off the upper cases books. Karina, still in giving chase and approaching, would occasionally trip and lose Her grounding, but still gave chase. “Ha Ha! See, my friend? We’re okay!” Sharpen said with full confidence.
Benyamin that was just behind Karina could see the chaos in front of Him, “For Crabbasket’s sake, Karina! Calm AND SLOW Down!! Raven will kill Us!” He went on to give pressure and amp up His running. Karina wasn’t giving Up as She was close and now avoiding the obstacles created towards Her, but said obstacles weren’t that much compared to other players for the Brunette.
The mouse as they were running and running, and tackling off the books, They just looked right up away towards Their Knight. “Uhhh, Sir Sharpen, are You sure that this will be okay? She might get mad at Us later on.” They said, To which, Knight Sharpen simply nodded, “No need to! I can talk to her later on and explain that We had to escape from a Foul…” Knight Sharpen was trying to explain, but briefly interrupted by the Mouse crashing on to a sturdy that was in their path. Both of them crashed and knocked into the floor. Slowly as it pans out, Karina was in a throwing position.
Just as it was a chase, as Benyamin fall behind in trying to fix on the ruckus from “Karina”, The Long-Brunette had taken out Her Rock that had saved into Her Jacket’s pockets and winded up Her arm, “Okay, Okay…I’ll try this again.” She said while preparing Herself and, then, “Aya VOOOOY!” She shouts, finally throwing the rock with such force that it skiddles, leaving a bit of a crack on the floor and bouncing just in perfect obstruction for the supposed talking mice and sentient paper being. The Sharpen knight was slowly recovering, but as He tries his best to stand up, some crumbling on His paper waist was preventing to moving on freely.
“Ohhh! OHHHH! tHE PAIN!! Pain as how my destiny and fate clashes and I am the mercy of what this foul beast hath giventh Me!!” He said while looking down and now laying down on the floor with x-marks on His eyes. It was a moment of silence, or so it was thought.
“Wait, really?” THe mouse said while still knocked to the floor.
“Perhaps the flare in me might’ve been too much my friend. But with some easy handling from my Colleagues, I’ll be good as new!” Suddenly the knight got all of sudden like nothing happened. But for them the celebration would be cut short, as unbeknownst…
“Got Both of You now.” She said as She squinted at them and prepared Herself in a punching position. “HIYAAAAA!!” And with a bounce, She leaps in with Her blank book at hand and manages to trap down the Paper knight. The mouse could barely escape in front the grasp, but Karina was quick with Her hands as She saw them and grabbed ahold of it. “I got You now! Ratoncito…si eso es lo que eres.” Karina squints to try and get a better look at the Mouse at hand, but just like that…
“KARINA!!” Karina yelps at the sudden strong shout that comes from Benyamin that was sweating a bit and catching His breath.
“Oh dang, You good, man?” Karina said as Benyamin simply twitches on His eyes.
“NO! I’m not Good, man! Talk about needing a chill pill!! Why did You throw those books off! You’re lucky! That Raven isn’t near Us!” Benyamin said as He shows some discarded books that were barely put back into their gap, to avoid any problem. “Like!? What is Your beef against the mouse??” He said annoyed to no end.
Karina simply scoffs, “And You will also need a chill pill. I really don’t know what's your beef, but right now You’ll swallow those words right here. This Mouse right here! It talked! LOOK!” Karina said while stretching and showcasing the mouse on to Benyamin. He simply squints at said Mouse and was just not even impress by it.
“You’re telling me that all this time it was just a dumb mouse toy? Like the design is rad I guess, but seriously!?” He said looking at the unusual shape and the composition from the mice. Karina raises Her eyebrow and realizes that She is still covering a good part of the mouse.
“Oh! That's my fault, but here, I-!” Karina tries to reveal more of the Mouse, but quickly makes a loud noise like a mechanic horn and was enough to startle both Students and just enough for Karina to let go completely of the mouse as the mouse summons again a floating propeller and jets away far from the scene. Unbeknownst to anyone present, the Mouse quickly makes its way right into the upstairs and finding shelter in a dark red and orange backpack. As both of them were trying to adjust Their ears. Karina tried to chase the mouse. “HEY! ¡Vuelve aqui, Cobarde!”
Benyamin stops Her at tracks as He just pinches the bridge of His nose again, “Listen, stop. Okay, that was a Cool Mouse toy! Haven’t heard or seen a model like that for sure, but seriously Karina, stop with the whole pretend alright? If You just wanted to leave, that's it! Could’ve just said so.” Benyamin said with His tone completely done already and patience wearing thin from the day.
Karina’s eyes were also twitching, “And If You could only LISTEN! Like Your headphones over there, I am telling You!! THat Mouse could speak!! SPEAK! Like actual human talk!! It's INSANE!” Karina is also done with dealing with Benyamin’s attitude towards Her.
“Suuuuuure.” Benyamin said, trying to not entertain that idea. Karina was seconds to actually pick up Benyamin and just throw Him into the trash can.
“I’m TELLING YOU!! Okay, Esta bien, esta Bien, Through Your brick head, I am going to show YOu that!!” Karina said as She was completely sure that at least the talking paper was still trapped within the Books.
“AHEM!!” Raven said all of Sudden and startled both Students, with Benyamin clutching His chest, and Karina’s hair stranding up like a wet cat hissing against another cat. That just made the Long-Brunette Hair Gal to just grip tight on Her book. “If I recall correctly, this is a Library. Shouting is very disrespectful and I would scold You both and give a demerit to both of You.” She said completely collected and crossed arms. To which both Students were nervous at just hearing that.
“Fortunately for both of You, Both of Your times here are up. Library is closing.” Raven said while showing both of the backpacks from Karina and Benyamin to Them.
“O-Oh!! W-Well, Thank You, Mirs. Raven, ma’am!” Benyamin said while struggling to be calm.
“You are very welcome, Karina, I already told You about the missing books and rules guide here. If You want to take that Physics book with You, you first need to register it to Me.” She explains.
Karina was at first taken back by this, “Physics?? Book?” She said while looking at the book She was holding with Her strength and saw that it had a cover of ‘Physics and Stuff about Work.’ as a title. She didn’t give too much thought about it for the moment. “Uhhh, Sure. I guess.” Karina responds as She still grips it tight. “Uhh, can I hold it and do all that library stuff? Hopefully my library card is in my backpack.” She said with a nervous chuckle at the end of Her sentence knowing well it has been at least many months.
“Understood. And what about You, Benyamin? Any book You want to take home?” Raven offers, to which surprisingly the Thread-hair Student could only shake His head.
“I think I had more than enough of the library for tonight, Mrs. Raven.” He said, bitterness clearly in His voice and Karina simply rolls Her eyes, and simply gives Every will power of Her own to try and resist snapping back at Him in front of the Head Librarian. She is confident that by tomorrow She’ll show Him what really happened and make Him eat those words.
Just after a while, Raven looks with intrigue at the book from Karina, “Hmm, Physics and More Stuff of Work…never heard of this book before?” She said while looking at it with her blue-piercing eyes. With some more seals and stamps the Head Librarian gives it towards Karina, “Very well. Karina, You have One week to hold this book. Be sure to give it back or else pay up a ticket and the debt will increase with each day You don’t return it.” She states.
Karina simply nods and quickly makes Her way to the hallway leading to the exit of the Library, “Thank You, But gotta go real quick! K thanks! ¡¡Adiocitooooo!!” Karina makes a run towards the Door the moment that Raven had finished the files and paper stamps about the book that the Varsity Jacket Girl took. Now out of the library, Karina takes one last glance at the book, not wanting at all to lose sight of it and holding it on.
A Talking Paper sentient being that could be moved by its own, and a talking almost mechanical? Android? Cyborg? Would that be considered a cyborg? Mouse that was also sentient and talking. And Apparently the two of them were real and that was what actually happened. Karina still couldn’t believe Her eyes or even Her ears at seeing it all unfold and witness it all just like that. And all in Her School… as She was making Her way onto the entrance and exit of the School, She was for sure of One thing… After a long time, She is excited to head back to School tomorrow. As deep within the very same old and yet dark-looking office…Glows from multiple books could be seen as a spiral huge looking gate was seen opening revealing a huge light that could light up the same void office into a room of many antique runes
