That's Not A Superpower
It was a real mess, really .
Kotetsu had been trying to convince the crying man with the fervorous sweating superpower that it was, in fact , a great gift for half an hour.
However, sweating was gross. Barnaby coughed awkwardly as he straightened in his place. He didn't have to be thinking about that if the old man was trying so hard to help that student from the Superhero Academy.
The rest of the class was waiting, patiently, to a side of the campus. Eyes focused on the scene as it was a movie.
Barnaby pursed his lips as his gaze dropped to his watch.
Yep– more than half an hour now.
A sound of a laugh caught Barnaby's attention again to Kotetsu and the sweat guy. The student was laughing and bowing his head to Kotetsu. The old man's embarrassed smile and his hand behind his nape was telling Barnaby he had been successful. It made Barnaby's lips curving up, pleased.
I guess meddling is one of Kotetsu-san's superpowers too.
Once Kotetsu was back, Barnaby and him lectured the rest of the class about building 's rescue, which was the main topic from their visit to the Academy that day.
They finished late, and it was Kotetsu-san's fault, as always . Barnaby huffed a little chuckle, placing his hand to cover his lips.
"Ooh? Why is Bunny-chan laughing?" Kotetsu asked, with his eyes focused on the road as he drove Barnaby home.
"It's nothing, I think Kotetsu-san will always be Kotetsu-san after all," Barnaby darted his eyes to his friend, and the old man looked even more confused.
"Ah? What's that supposed to mean?" Wild Tiger whined, not amused at all.
Teasing that oblivious old man was Barnaby's delight.
"Tomorrow is our free day, why don't we go for a drink?" Barnaby suddenly asked. After all this time, they've never been able to go out together. Maybe that day was the day.
Jarring, Kotetsu opened his eyes widely, "Are you sure? Aren't you afraid the apocalypse would arrive if we attempted to go together for a drink?"
Laughing loudly, Barnaby stared at Kotetsu. That voice again inside of him was yelling to do something improper to that cute old-man, "No, I think tonight is the night, Kotetsu-san."
"If Bunny-chan says so, let's go for a drink then!" Kotetsu smiled and Barnaby remained still for a brief moment, enjoying Wild Tiger's beautiful profile.
They arrived at Kotetsu's favorite bar. It was a warm and comfy place. Barnaby 's eyes wandered between the pictures from the old Stern Bild hanging on the walls.
Dim lights invited to privacy as the smooth music played in the back, like a submissive companion.
Because it was a week's day, there weren't many people. Kotetsu sat at the bar and invited Barnaby, waving his hand.
After asking for one scotch and a bottle of wine, Kotetsu grinned at Barnaby and said, "You have to try this wine, it's a fancy one, just like Bunny-chan."
Blinking, Barnaby saw an opportunity to tease that old man, "Oh, so you think I'm a fancy guy?"
"Aren't you?" Kotetsu asked, their drinks were now in front of them.
With a smug smile, Barnaby approached Kotetsu's ear, "And what about you? Should I say what I think about you?"
Halting, Kotetsu placed the scotch glass back on the bar as he glared at Barnaby, "Why would you bother this old man? Did you ask me out to mess with me?" he clicked his tongue, and gave another sip to his drink.
Cute.
Definitely, tonight is the night–
"I like you, Kotetsu-san," Barnaby snapped, eyes focused on his partner.
Kotetsu blinked at first, startled. Yet, as always, he chuckled and relaxed, "I like you too, Bunny."
Huffing, Barnaby snatched Kotetsu's glass from his hand, and when he had the old-man's attention on him, he growled, "Is your obliviousness also your superpower?"
"What?" Kotetsu asked, turning his face to Barnaby, but it was too late for a verbal answer, because Barnaby's lips were now placing a kiss on Kotetsu's cheek.
Immediately after that audacious movement, they stared at each other's eyes. Kotetsu's speechless and baffled face contrasted with Barnaby's mischievous grin.
Suddenly, that heedless old-man yelped, placing a hand on his kissed creek, showing a delicious red face, "Why did you–?!"
"I said 'I like you' , you're the one being insensitive about it," Barnaby faked a dramatic wave of his hand, as he looked at his wine to grab it and take a sip.
"Bunny! You're being so bold!" Kotetsu cried again, pouting like a cute child.
Ahh– I want to tease him more. Should I?
As Barnaby was debating with himself if he could be even more devilish with Kotetsu, he felt a couple of hands cupping his face, turning him around for a soft peck on the lips.
With round eyes, Barnaby froze as he stared at Kotetsu, dazed.
Covering his mouth as he drifted his beautiful amber eyes away from Barnaby, Kotetsu said, "I'm not that oblivious, so I guess it's not one of my superpowers."
Oh– he can blush even more–
I want him.
"Say, Kotetsu-san. Is shamelessness a superpower too?" Barnaby asked, enraptured.
Kotetsu wheeled around to glance at him with a frown, " Uh ?"
Smirking, Barnaby pulled that old-man closer for a passionate kiss on the lips.
