Chapter Text

It was strange, waking up.

It was strange but at the same time more mysterious every day. You never knew what lay ahead or how the night would end.

But it was stranger for Seokmin to wake up and find out where in the world (or multiverse) he was every new week. If you had told 18 year old Seokmin that he was now lost between the lines of reality, he would have laughed and then walked away from you thinking you were crazy.

That's not what he thinks when for the third time a month, he sees a different ceiling looming over him in the morning; it was different from the path of stars he had slept under hours ago, high ceilings loomed over him, a canopy frame decorated the corners and there was too much gold for his liking.

It was similar to the E-0134 in which he had awakened a few months ago but slightly more modern, all the realities he had traveled to were somewhat similar to others but none were the same...

He didn't know what had caused him to start wandering through all the time lines but he did know that he was tired, very tired of it.

Seokmin sighed, rubbing his eyes ready to get up and explore the place that will house him for this week: The sun shone through the windows and from where he stood he could see a large green grass field that swayed in the breeze; He tried to get out of bed when he felt the strong arm that wrapped around his waist in a fierce grip that belonged to a large man who filled half the bed, the stranger's hair was scattered on the pillow, his face was relaxed and open, still asleep.

Okay, this was a problem.

He tried to get out of the hug but it only caused the stranger to mumble something in his sleep and he brought him closer to his chest, that's how he noticed that he was naked and sticky. He began to sweat cold, he had to get out of here and find a way to find out who or what he was so as not to cause problems (it wouldn't be the first time that he ruined an interpersonal relationship with someone when he fell somewhere new for some minor mistake, the Seungkwan of R-622 had canceled his engagement with the Seokmin of his land just because he said that he did not like camellias for his wedding flowers, how was Seokmin to know that precisely with camellias he was supposed to have declared himself 6 years ago? ?)

He moved enough for the man next to him to sigh and let him go, but not before placing a kiss on the nape of his neck that left him frozen for a few seconds.

Seokmin rushed to one of the doors that was in the room, his first choice was wrong and it led him to a gigantic closet, how really gigantic it was the size of his small student apartment that he lived in before all this started; but he didn't have time to marvel at the designer clothes that filled the place, he took the first robe he saw in the place, put it on quickly and without looking ow it hung a little from the frame of his body, exposing his chest and he hurried to find a bathroom.

He breathed a sigh of relief to discover that the other door leads to a spacious and well-lit bathroom, he went to the mirror and felt that he could breathe seeing that he was still human, he didn't always keep his body the same when he traveled, and he had already been too many times. things to want to wake up being another animal.

The only thing the universe didn't take away from her was his name.

His reflection was identical to how it had been on earth, except that now his hair was three shades lighter, longer and better groomed than it had been in his last years of university, he rubbed his hands over his face and looked surprised at the wedding ring that greeted him from the mirror.

He was married, well not him, but the Seokmin of this universe.

He tried not to panic, this was new, in no other universe he had traveled to was he married, he was about to do it a few times but he had never woken up being someone's husband, now what should he do?, wake up his husband With a kiss like a good husband would? Prepare breakfast like a good husband would? How would he know that he was to be a good husband if he didn't even know how to maintain a stable and lasting relationship?

As he lost his mind he didn't notice the tall man leaning on the bathroom doorframe until he spoke.

"Honey, are you ok?" The stranger standing- no, he wasn't a stranger, his husband standing at the door looked at him expectantly, and Seokmin took the liberty of scanning him in all his glory, he was tall, taller than him and broader too, with a tone of tanned skin, ripped abs and toned arms that stand out in the bathroom light, with kind eyes and plump lips.

Well, I could tell that the Seokmin of this universe had excellent taste in men.

“Seokmin?” the very naked man called again, approaching him.

"Ah, yes" Seokmin woke up from the wash, smiling awkwardly as he saw the man approach, god this was all too much for him, he feels the blush rise up his neck and warm his face when he cradles his face in his big hands and hugs him. He looked up with eyes brimming with concern.

"I wasn't too hard last night, was I?" Well that explained the bruises, the stickiness between his legs and the little pain in his lower back.

"No, not at all" he laughed, scratching the back of his neck and moving away from the man who sighed in relief.

"I was surprised to see that you woke up so early, I thought something was wrong now I'm thinking about whether I should join you in the shower" His husband, whose name he still didn't know, approached him, grabbing him by the waist and sticking to his body. “After all, I should take care of my husband before I go to work.” His touch slips through the openings that Seokmin didn't know he had on in the silk robe he wore and ran a slow climb up his thighs.

Sirens of danger sounded everywhere in Seokmin's head, first Seokmin wasn't Seokmin and Seokmin wasn't the Seokmin who had had sex last night with the perfect specimen of a man he was MARRIED in front of him.

He felt a shiver of terror go up her spine when a telephone rang in the distance causing his husband to separate from him with a pout that little or nothing resembled that of a puppy.

"That's my call to the office." A kiss was placed on his temple and he watched as the other man began to do his morning routine in the bathroom, he decided it was better to wait in the bedroom and quickly left the bathroom.

Now that he could see the main room more calmly, he was amazed at how big it was, it was decorated in blues and greys, with golden details here and there, which was the first thing Seokmin noticed when he woke up, there were black leather armchairs in the room and one or another small shelf rested at the end of these full of books next to a television that covered almost the entire wall in front of them, in the middle of the room there was a bed large enough to fit 4 adult people without any problem some and the chestnut began to seriously think how rich they were.

He was brought out of his ramblings by seeing the tall man come out of the closet already dressed in a three-piece suit as he adjusted his wristwatch and reaffirmed that the Seokmin of this universe had exquisite taste in men.

"I think you shouldn't go out with Jeonghan today, you have that look on your face when you're going to get sick" A hand was placed on her forehead, he unconsciously leaned on the touch, breathing in the oak smell of the opponent's cologne. “Do you want me to stay and take care of you and tell Hannie to cancel?”

Seokmin shook his head, he needed to know things about his daily life to survive this week, and if this man kept hanging around him, it's likely that he'll spend the whole day engrossed in him and ruin everything in a few hours. "I feel good, don't worry about anything besides working I can take care of myself." That comment earned a frown from his husband.

"Okay, but lie down a bit longer, okay?" He was laid on the bed and tucked in against his will by the taller man who looked at him with worried eyes, he wanted to reassure him with a smile but all he got was that they turned him into a sheet burrito for his worried husband. "I'll try to be early today and tell the boys not to be mean if you still feel bad" he closed his eyes and hummed as he felt the rain of kisses on his face that followed those words.

Seokmin wait until he hear in the distance the sound of the door closing and the soft purr of a car driving away until it disappears to quickly disentangle myself from the sheets and put the following questions on the table.

Who was Jeong Han?

What universe was he in?

Who was the Seokmin of this universe?

And most importantly, what was the name of his husband?

Chapter Text

Seokmin quickly thought that his only solution was to panic, disappear for the next six days, and wait for the being who ran his life to take pity on him and send him somewhere else, but this was dismissed when he heard a phone ring. in the distance.

He adjusted his robe, he put on his slippers and went in search of the sound.

He followed the hallway until he found an exit and marveled at the new room that greeted him, high-ceilinged with two large black leather sofas arranged around a low table and a large television mounted on the wall. It was tidy, just a stack of navy blue granite coasters and a small cup of pens on the table. There were cushions scattered around the sofa and an incredibly fluffy blanket draped over the back of the sofa.

The floor was more of white marble, almost shining in the morning sunlight. The stairs going up to the second ran the length of one wall, with a glass railing and gaps between the stairs so that the steps almost looked like they were floating.

I whistle, if he thought before that the Seokmin of this dimension was rich, this confirmed it in its entirety. As a broke college student he could only dream about what he saw in front of him.

He framed in his mind to come back to snuggle sometime on the soft sofas before running away, when he saw that the ringing phone was on some of the shelves that decorated the place, he rushed to answer it before it called hang up

"Until you finally answer" The voice through the speaker sounded falsely annoyed "I thought you had fainted and I should call 119"

"Oh no, just-" There was a struggle on the other line and the voice was replaced by a more vibrant and much more excited voice.

"That means you're fine, Gyu called worried that you looked very tired and since we're nice to take away your tiredness with our cuteness" There was silence on the line

"That doesn't make sense Soonyoung" another voice replied, how many people were on the call?

"Gyu? My husband?" Seokmin asked, looking for at least some information in the chaotic call.

"Of course your husband, who would be more serious, did the fever melt your brain?" The other person replied amused.

"That's not possible, Soonyoung." The other exasperated voice answered again, a giggle behind all the chaos.

"Of course it is, but it doesn't matter, we'll be there in less than 45 minutes, just be your usual cute self and we'll wait, okay?"

“Uhm, yeah, sure,” Seokmin replied, somewhat taken aback by how quickly the conversation had escalated.

"'ky, bye"

I look at the phone for a moment, more confused than before, with only two useful things from the call; one, apparently his husband was called Gyu and two, people were going to his house.

Shaking his head to wake up, he had to get dressed and look presentable as soon as possible, he made a brisk walk to the bedroom he had woken up in (his lower back hurt enough not to run) and hurried to the bathroom.

He didn't take long in the bathroom, he dressed in the first sweatshirt he found with the softest cotton pants he saw, he didn't worry much, he was supposed to be sick.

The clothes hung a little loose on his body, but it didn't matter.

He flung himself into the chair as casually as possible when he heard the keys jingle in the door. He covered himself with the blanket from the chair and delighted in its softness.

“Seokmin wasn't supposed to give you the key to this.” He recognized the voice as one of the ones fighting on the phone.

"It's for emergencies, this is an emergency."

"Of course it isn't"

"It is if I have more than three days without seeing my Minnie"

"I don't think so-"

The conversation was cut short when three strangers appeared through the door and found him curled up in the chair, he was surprised to see that there was a familiar face between them and two new faces that looked at him softly.

The tallest of them, had prominent lips and small eyes with an unruly head of black hair and had been arguing with the blond who looked at him with a playful smile and laughed every once in a while, and, finally, the brown one... well, the chestnut was the one who was once his fiancé in another universe, Seungkwan had decided to ignore the other two and approach the man who pretended to rest on the chair.

The brown-haired boy quickly approached to lull him, regardless of his supposed ´´illness.´´

"Look at him, he looks like an abandoned puppy, how could Mingyu go and leave him alone? I say we take him away and take him to my house, Jihoon and I will be happy to have him" The black-haired man caressed his hair.

"Soonyoung, stop trying to steal Seokmin from you," the blond demanded, slapping the black-haired hand away. "Are you okay? It seems you've seen a ghost"

Well, it wasn't a ghost, but it was the first time that in the three years he had been on his involuntary multiversal journey he had met another person he had already met before.

"Oh yeah, just a little off." He stepped away from the others a bit, wanting to appear as casual as possible.

They seemed nice, but certainly, Seokmin was shy his whole life when meeting someone new and the Seokmin they knew was not the same Seokmin who was right now in front of them.

“Did you take any pain reliever?” He hid his face in the blanket, not wanting to see Seungkwan's face, he had cried a lot because of that face and he didn't think that starting to cry again because of a reality that wasn't his would help at a time like this.

"No, I don't like it." He earned a collective sigh and laughed at that.

"That, laugh that your dear and dear friends worry about you, you are supposed to be in top shape with a premiere so close"

"Premiere?"

"Yes, premiere, Soonyoung was right and your brain melted from fever" Bufo, it seems Soonyoung had some crazy ideas related to fever.

"It's impossible for my brain to melt with the fever" Seokmin settled more in the chair, the company of the others was comfortable for him and that was strange?, he didn't know, but he felt somehow familiar, he didn't understand why , but I avoid questioning his logic, nothing in his life had been logical in a long time. She shook her head. "But I come back and ask, what premiere?"

“The musical Jun hyung has worked half his life for? The one I beg you to come back to the spotlight for? The musical that sells out every show every day just because you're one of the lead actors? ”

Seokmin was bombarded with questions, causing him to cower under the blanket.

It was too much information, he didn't know who Jun hyung was, he didn't know that he also acted in this reality, and he also had no idea that he was apparently famous here.

Through all the lines that he had crossed besides his appearance only one thing had not changed and that was his love of singing, the first time he traveled he fell into something full of vibrant colors, but with no sound, it was unbearable surviving a week entrenched in the confusion of not knowing where he was and how he had gotten to that place, he was the image of sadness all the time.

The fourth time he jumped, he discovered that he was a homeless person who earned food while singing in the streets, not long ago, but he enjoyed seeing how the park where he was was paralyzed to see him when he spilled his feelings through his voice.

Before he fell for this prank of the universe, he was one last semester away from graduating in Theater and Performing Arts, he was in the process of doing his senior project with his group of drama club classmates when this happened.

It was exciting, electrifying if you could put it that way to know that here, he acted and did it professionally, it couldn't stop moving him that somewhere in the universe there was a part of him, someone who was him but wasn't the whole that he shared the same passion for theater and had achieved the dreams with which he had grown into an adult.

"Wait, what did I get back in the spotlight?" He sat correctly in the chair, paying attention to the men who were now looking at him in astonishment.

“Oh my god, I can't believe it” Seungkwan rubbed his hands over his face in frustration as he began to pace around the living room. "Damn, should we explain everything... again? I didn't think this would happen again."

Seokmin nodded, giving her an apologetic smile in return.

The blonde of them sat down next to him with a defeated sigh before starting to speak.

"Well, let's start with that we met in college..."

Chapter Text

It's alright, alright.

In short, from the things Jeonghan, Soonyoung, and Seungkwan had said, I now knew the following:

He had met the three troublemakers who strutted around his living room in his second year of college, Jeonghan was studying business, Soonyoung was from the dance department, and Seungkwan was from the music department. Soonyoung and Jeonghan bumped into Seokmin and Seungkwan at the cafeteria and everything after that was history.

Mingyu (his husband ) was born with a golden spoon in his mouth and he fell in love with Seokmin when he saw him selling donuts at a low-budget coffee shop in the center of town. They had fallen in love in the most drama-like way possible, Seokmin approached first looking for a date and ended up with a relationship that lasted 5 years of courtship and had been happily married for 4 years.

Doing the mental math on him, Seokmin estimated that he was around 33 years old and damn, knowing that now (in this reality) he was 10 years older than the last time he was in his original land was painful.

As an actor he had begun to be noticed after he went viral as a secondary character in the third musical in which he had participated not because of his singing, much less because of his acting but because of his appearance, but his first starring role was as King Arthur in Xcalibur, after that his popularity had skyrocketed.

Popularity he only enjoyed a few years.

It was hard to get the information out of the others that he had caused he to take a break from the stage and he thought of taking it back at the look of dismay that covered their faces.

According to what they told him, It was the first time he and Seungkwan acted together, it was the third opening night of Anything Goes in Korea, it had been adapted a bit so that the two leads were men, it was a scandal in the press and drew so much attention to the premiere that nearly all the tickets were sold out for every night of the performance. Seokmin was Billy and Seungkwan Hope; Before the show began, the lighting and sound equipment were concentrating on an error that occurred with the microphones when I was rehearsing in the afternoon, nothing out of the ordinary, today they had a full house and it was normal that due to the speed in which that things moved one or the other will be unintentionally forgotten.

Soonyoung spoke up when Seungkwan's voice cut off as she spoke.

More lights had been added on the spotlight bar to make the final act more exciting, more emotional or something, just as Seokmin was moving towards Seungkwan, the spotlight bar came loose from its tethers and fell from the ceiling.

"It was horrible, seeing how it fell and remembering the silence that formed in the theater when you saw you disappear under the weight of that thing." Jeonghan took his hand when he saw the paleness that flooded her face "We were in the audience, the boys and I, Mingyu and Seungcheol immediately rushed onto the stage" He rubbed his wet eyes with the cuff of his sweatshirt, why was he sad? He didn't know, but seeing the trauma and pain reflected in the opponents' eyes made his heart sink a little.

"When the firemen arrived they had managed to get you out from under it, but god, just remember the state you were in...your leg was shattered and your arm had discovered an angle that was not possible, you had more broken ribs than intact, a reflector almost crushed your head and by the time they finished lifting the weight of the bar your lungs were full of blood." The blond laughed without desire. "You didn't drop all the weight, but it was enough to almost kill you."

“You were induced into a coma and when you woke up the therapy was tedious to bear, you tried to come back as soon as the nails were removed from your leg and the sling from your arm, but Gyu thought it was better for your health to rest for a while from the stage after you paralyzed in a rehearsal and you didn't oppose it, it's been four years since that and you had no plans to return until Jun asked you to.

Without thinking, Soonyoung clung to him like a leech when he began to sob, she had been thinking that the life of Seokmin of this dimension was good, she even thought it was perfect, but now she had no idea how hard it had been, not only what he threw past, but the whole recovery process, having to "retire" at the peak of his career and uff.

He was ambushed by the missing ones and before long they found themselves in a pile of hugs with a few tears.

"I think it's too sad at the moment" Seokmin sniffed at him and leaned against the person closest to him. "I'm sick and I think that if I cry I'm going to get sicker and Jun hyung won't like that, also I don't want to revive bad memories just because I have a momentary gap" he apologized

"The blackouts are because of that, you should have told Gyu, not wait for us to arrive," Seungkwan scolded, tugging at his ear.

"It wasn't intentional, how do you think he was going to tell them if he didn't remember anything?"

"I know!" Soonyoung jumped off his lap. "We'll tell the boys to come, we haven't been together for a long time and if we tell them that Minnie is disoriented, they'll all come"

Seokmin thought about it, he had received too much information today and had already teared up too much, but if it would cheer the others up a bit, that would be fine. Also, he wanted to finish getting acquainted with the Seokmin's friends from this universe.

"I think it's okay, but later, I want to continue in the hug pile."

He earned a round of coos, and as Jeonghan hugged him tighter, it didn't take long for Soonyoung to rejoin them on the couch, clinging to Seungkwan this time.

And Seokmin stayed there, curled up on a soft sofa that didn't belong to him, with friends he didn't know at all and in a place totally unknown to him.

But he stayed, because he felt warm, and somehow, it felt like home, but that was a problem for later, now he just wanted to enjoy himself a little.

When Seokmin opened his eyes again, he found himself surrounded by more people than he imagined scattered around the room. And he was no longer leaning against Jeonghan, he was snuggled into a broader chest as a hand stroked his hair; I doubt for a moment whether to move from the place or get carried away by the background conversation and go back to sleep.

"Awake already?" She looked up and found her husband, Mingyu, looking at him with a smile from above; He was no longer wearing the three-piece suit he came out with in the morning and his long hair was tied behind his ears, he was wearing a sweatshirt similar to the same one he had and received a kiss on the side of his head as he answered with a murmur before leaving. get up off your chest.

He froze for a moment, there were a lot of people, more than expected and the worst thing was that they were looking at him, he gave them a tense smile and waited until someone, in this case one of the men who was resting on the floor and had blond hair and so messy that Seokmin resisted the urge to comb his fingers through it, he spoke first.

"Do you agree that we stole you from Gyu hyung, because he was a bad husband and he left you alone?"

"What? No" Seokmin responded quickly, startling a little at the arms that wrapped around his waist and pinned him to the lap of her husband who was now looking at the blond with feigned suspicion.

"Lee Chan, you've had it for too long, it's mine now"

"He only lived with us for a while, just because you're married to him doesn't mean he has to spend all his time with you." The blonde, Chan, pouted back, which made Seokmin coo, causing a victorious smile to form on his face. "See, that means he's going with us"

"He's mine, he won't leave"

"Seokmin is nobody stop talking nonsense." Another person intervened, now the black-haired man who was also wandering on his floor, had a cup of tea in his hands and watched with amusement and malice the exchange of others. "We already know who Seokmin would choose"

"Me, I am his husband."

"Me, I'm his favorite."

"None of you idiots."

That caused the three of them to get involved in an argument that only went in circles, for a moment Seokmin looked scared until he saw the smile that graced Jeonghan's face as he leaned against another man with black hair and puppy eyes who was watching the exchange. of insults in the same way.

"What is the reason for the fight now?"

Another man appeared from the kitchen door, wearing a fuzzy sweater Seokmin wanted to see his face in and peering over his wide-framed glasses that sat on his nose.

"Chan says that Seokku prefers him and Mingyu doesn't want to act the truth." Jeonghan responded by earning a glare from the man who right now treated Seokmin like a teddy bear.

The boy with the glasses huffed, fixing his glasses and taking a seat on the same couch where Seokmin was being mistreated.

"We all know that if Seokmin goes with someone it would be Jun and me, right Minnie?" The brown-haired thought of denying, but the man with the glasses had a nice sweater, and he smiled knowingly at him so he nodded quickly, getting out of Mingyu's lap to slide to his side and snuggle there.

That caused laughter in the room.

"Look at Wonwoo, he looks like a cat who got his way" Soonyoung appeared from somewhere and patted him on the head.

"I lost to an unexpected opponent, another one who wants to steal Seokkie from me" Chan dramatized, swooning over the tea boy.

"Just wait until Hansol and Jihoon hyung arrive, he'll change his mind" The black-haired man next to Jeonghan replied, trying to ease the blond.

"More missing?" Seokmin asked, he didn't think he would have such a big circle of friends.

"Just a few, you hadn't gotten sick for a long time and they all wanted to be here." Seungkwan rested his head against his knee, there was already a large group sprawled out on the carpet.

Absently he began to comb the black-haired hair, the conversation began to flow among the others while he just watched how everything flowed with a naturalness that he was not familiar with, but it was warm to him.

Seokmin thought that if his other "me" in this universe was so loved, he must be a very good person.

At least one of the variants of him was (not totally) full, and calm in his life.

Lost in his ramblings, he did not pay attention to the two people who arrived and completed his circle of friends.

The shortest of them sat next to him resting his head on his shoulder, which made him jump and pay attention to those who had just arrived. He quickly spoke with a tired voice in his.

"Hi Seokmin, please tell me you didn't forget your lines and you'll soon remember everything." Seokmin thought, well he didn't remember his lines, but in a week he wouldn't be in this place anymore so he nodded confidently to the stranger who sighed in relief. "Well, Hansol was losing his temper in the studio because of that" he guessed that the other blue-haired man giving him a dirty look as he jammed on a cookie was Hansol.

"He wasn't losing his temper." The other man retorted with a snort.

"The studio cameras would say otherwise"

"It wasn't nerves it was-"

Before another pointless argument could break out, Soonyoung intervened.

"Since we're all here, why don't we catch up and then watch a movie?" He jumped excitedly from his seat, which made Seokmin laugh.

"It's not good for Seokmin to spend time in front of a screen right now." The black-haired man next to Jeonghan interrupted the wave of affirmations that sounded in the room.

"Why don't we stay here and play a board game?" Seokmin plucked up the courage to ask, which made all the eyes in the room turn to him and he chose more to the side of the man with glasses.

"Don't you remember the disaster that was our last night of board games?" The tea boy asked to which Seokmin denied with a smile. "Of course you don't."

"Soonyoung doesn't know how to lose at Uno." Jeonghan answered.

"And Junhui always rips us off by being the bank in Monopoly." Junhui, the lilac-haired man who was sitting on the arm of the sofa, glared at him and threw a napkin at him.

"And you're not very good at playing either one." His husband answered, squeezing his hand.

Seokmin, the college boy who spent his afternoons in the college break room was an excellent player of Uno, Monopoly, and any card game that would involve alcohol or money. And as low key as he must be in this place, he wasn't going to let that change here.

He chuckled.

"I think I can kick any of you's ass at any board game." A boo was heard throughout the room.

"Are you sure about that?" Mingyu looked at him with a raised eyebrow and a smile at the corner of his mouth to which Seokmin nodded, looking around the room defiantly.

"Do you want to bet?"

One of the men who were sitting on the floor with doe eyes and an asymmetrical face, clapped his hands and looked at him with sparkling eyes.

"I like that idea, today I want to earn easy money." The others agreed.

"Mingyu pays what Seokmin loses." The aforementioned groaned indignantly.

"Why, I pay for him?"

"Because he is your husband and you love him very much, plus it is your punishment for leaving him alone."

The tall one began to complain, turning on the sofa.

"Stop complaining, or Wonwoo and I take it for today" Jun squeezed the shoulder of the boy with glasses, Wonwoo, who hugged Seokmin and smirked at Mingyu, who crossed his arms giving him a dirty look.

The room began to move and in a few minutes the glass table had moved to one side and everyone was on the floor; Seokmin had been moved back into Mingyu's arms nestled between his legs, with his back pressed to the opponent's chest and a passing hand caressed his waist lightly.

A kiss fell on his cheek which made the whole room boo again and clear their throats when they felt the blush rise up his neck.

The first round was between Seokmin, Hansol, Joshua, Chan, and Seungcheol (as he discovered the black-haired man's name was), which earned him a groan of defeat from Mingyu and a chuckle of victory from Joshua.

"I'm going to be poor."

"Have a little faith in me, honey." He ignored the nickname that involuntarily slipped from his mouth and pinched the hand that gripped his waist.

For the second time that day, he ignored the feeling of warmth that he felt in his chest, those were things that would take him away in his sleep later, but he decided to focus on the cards that Hansol dealt in front of him.

He had spent a lot of time wandering alone, he might enjoy the company a little more.

Chapter Text

Last night was total chaos, that was the first thing Seokmin thought when he woke up on the living room floor with the weight of a head on his chest.

He had cleaned the floor with the contraries and ended up with enough money that the college Seokmin could live a week without skipping meals. He laughed softly as he imagined himself in his messy and chaotic bedroom, with his roommate who studied at inhuman hours and with whom he planned at some point, before falling for this joke of the universe, to give a big welcome to the boys who moved in in front of them. .

He missed what life was like for him before.

The memories of what he was weighed more heavily on his bones, those that faded in his memory every day and were lost in each body in which he woke up, with a different life, with new habits, new customs, everything so different that he had already begun to forget things about his original life.

He didn't remember what color his sheets were the last time he changed them.

His room number.

Nor how was the face of his roommate.

He was afraid that at some point he would forget the faces of his relatives, for this reason, in each universe that fell he tried to look for them, they were never the same, nor did they have the same kind and soft eyes as his mother, nor the bright smile of his father that he had inherited.

He gasped as the weight on his chest disappeared and the other person pulled him into a hug.

"Are you alright? You're looking at the ceiling as if you've been offended" Mingyu murmured against his neck with the tinge of sleep bathing his voice,

Seokmin hummed an affirmation, wanting to dissipate the lump that formed in his throat at the thought of him.

"Okay, now go to sleep, it's still too early to be awake" From the sunbeams coming through the window, he knew that instead it was too late to still be asleep, the boys had left late at midnight and after picking up the place and rearranging the furniture, they gave up going up to the room and took advantage of the marvelous carpet instead.

Decision that now turned against him with the growing back pain in his bones.

"I don't think I can last another hour on the floor." Clearing his throat, he cleared his throat and hissed in pain at the stiffness of his shoulders.

"Well, we'll go on to bed" Mingyu, the man who the night before whined like a puppy every time he lost and who came back tiny to snuggle with anyone, jerked up before bending down and taking the chestnut as a bride.

Seokmin whimpered in mortification, red to the tips of his feet and his heart beating at an outrageous rate.

"We're going to fall and you're going to break your back" he pinched the taller one as he crossed the room and went up the stairs to what he discovered was his real room.

"I have enough strength to carry you, stop complaining"

"Let's roll down the stairs, oh my god"

Mingyu rolled his eyes, kicking the door open and letting him fall onto the mattress, taking a place next to him before cuddling him like a stuffed animal burying Seokmin's face in his chest.

"Sleep, then I'll show you how strong I am"

Seokmin wanted to protest, but the opponent's soft breathing made him change his mind. He couldn't do anything while he was in the other's arms, he decided to let himself be carried away by the slow beating of the brunette's heart and the soft rise and fall of his chest, letting the weight of his eyelids take him to the world of dreams again.

Seokmin blamed himself for believing his husband's words that the day would be at least somewhat productive.

It was not that he wanted to take over the life of the Seokmin of this dimension, he had met his close friends and had been able to spend the night without doing anything suspicious, but he still wanted to familiarize himself with his surroundings, the Seokmin of this universe was too social for his liking and I was still afraid of screwing up and ruining something.

It wasn't like that, he didn't even get a chance to step foot outside the door.

Today they stayed in bed doing nothing until noon had passed, not only had they woken up horribly late, but Mingyu had taken too literally the rest order that Seokmin's doctor had left when they talked in the afternoon.

She couldn't do anything without having her husband's oversized pup glaring at him recrimination which made him sit back down on the kitchen stool.

It wasn't that he was complaining, it was the first time in over a year and a half that he'd had some peace of mind established in any falling universe. He also didn't complain about the sight of Mingyu's back while he was concentrating on cooking for them, he tried to offer her help several times just to to be rejected anyway.

He groaned for the fifth time in fifteen minutes as he shifted in his seat.

“No” Mingyu replied long before he even spoke.

"But I didn't say anything" he complained.

“I know what you're going to say” Mingyu pointed at him with a ladle.

"Of course not"

"You were going to complain that I won't let you help and we could make this faster between the two of us."

Seokmin was silent, he was going to complain about that.

"I hate you" he replied in return, folding his arms ignoring the laugh he received.

“I know, that's why you married me” Mingyu blew him a kiss as he stirred whatever he was making on the stove, he also didn't want to tell him what he would do. “And stop pouting”

He didn't even know he was pouting!

He threw a napkin at the brunette, who dodged and went on with his business.

And he smiled to himself, letting the atmosphere of comfort wash over him. He felt that he was becoming too attached to this place, it was only his second day here and he felt that he had adapted naturally.

But as he watched the handsome man strutting in the kitchen and humming softly, he thought he could afford to imagine for a few more hours that this was his life and that he didn't feel like an impostor in his own body.

But those were things that would take away his sleep tomorrow.

Chapter Text

eeee, long time no see here

This is not a chapter but more of a notice, I will delete this and redo this from the beginning and I plan to republish it when I have it completely finished because what I wrote was not taking the pace I wanted.

I'm a full-time medical student so don't expect me to be very fast at it but I do want to finish it (even if it's a disaster)

I reread this and damn, besides the spelling mistakes this thing lost the thread of everything

I'm sorry, I promise I'll be back sometime.
