The sudden blast threw Sebastian off his feet, his head hitting —
He didn ’t know, given the fact he’d blacked out.
When he came to, he caught his breath, wishing he didn ’t feel like a ton of bricks were on top of him.
Not that there was anything on top of him, yet this didn ’t stop a concerned, “Are you alright?” from coming his way.
Sebastian ’s eyes blinked, and then he looked at Arlo and groaned.
“You know full well, Seb, I’m not just concerned for your well-being because I’m the head of the Civil Corps, and that’s my job,” Arlo said. “It’s also my job as your older brother.
“Yeah, I know,” Sebastian said, in the back of his mind thinking, “And you do your job so much better than I ever did with Maru.”
